What are your political beliefs?

I don't care for politics at all...as long as the president doesn't do something completely life changing for me, like kill all children except the first born (I got jokes), I could care less.

My beliefs-

Government should fear da people, not people fear da government.

Low taxes=more tax revenue

no stupid political wars *aka Afghanistan/Iraq/Vietnam*

Government should only be here to protect us from other countries. Just a little regulations here and there since people tend to to screw each other over, but not too much. Also no one wants to eat lead.

#1 priority should be america first

Everything will balance out in time.

I tend to follow the beliefs of a libertarian, but will vote for da best person running.

Well everyone knows I lean conservative but here are my main beliefs:

- It makes no sense to increase the taxes of those poeple making 250k+. Absolutely none especially in a recession. People who make this type of income are usually the ones who own small businesses and corporations thus providing more jobs for people. Taxing them more limits their ability to hire people.

- Completely against Obamacare and Cap & Trade. I don't believe in socialized healthcare. Its impact on the economy doesn't make it a good option IMO.

- Smaller government. I don't think the government should be able to tell us how to live our lives and what we should be doing.

- Legalize marijuana but put strict regulations on it. I understand the war on drugs and weed in general is stupid, but there needs to be regulations on it to ensure people are using it responsibly.

- Pro Arizona immigration law, but do it for everyone. I think its only common sense for an officer to ask a person he stops for proper identification. I'm fine with immigration but do it legally and do it the right way. Illegal immigration is a big problem in the southwest part of the US.

- The constitution needs to be obeyed, plain and simple.

- The government needs to be more responsible in terms of spending. Stimulus packages are pointless and only create more debt.

- We need to stop being so dependent on other nations in terms of fuel.

the new health care package isn't even close to socialism. go learn something about socialism and then I dare you to call the new package socialist. I love how people act like socialism is such a bad thing, when the US isn't a top nation in standard of living for a reason and the top nations are socialist.

Let women get abortions if they want.

Legalize gay marriage

Improve education and living conditions in low income areas

There is a reason the housing market happened during a republican regime, and it was because of the decrease in regulations. Capitalist markets suck in this day and age, and that is why the US is losing ground as a top nation.

None of that is true AT ALL. There's a reason we have the biggest economy in the world and why people want to move and live here. There's a reason that most of the modern technological advances were either created in this country, refined here, or popularized here.

Also, for the housing comment, that's flat out wrong. It has to do with people that have no personal responsibility and expect the government to bail them on. THAT is what sucks in this day and age.

Got it?

The US has the biggest economy because its the only country with a crap load of people thats successful, lots of great places to live are European countries with 5-20 million people, I can see why.

And, your little European countries depend on the U.S. economy being strong. There's a reason Europe and Asia were [expletive]ting their pants in 2008 when our economy started hitting the [expletive]ter.

There is also a reason why Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, etc are all superior to us in every aspect of living. A new study even showed that the [expletive]ty US health care is the reason why our life expectancy is lower than other countries in the world. BTW, the US is technologically inferior to many countries. We have one of the lowest broadband speeds(and one of the worst speed to price ratio)out of modern countries. We are also lacking in cellular technology. Our government is using software from 10 years ago. Kids in schools are using outdated software AND hardware. What are they learning if they are learning standards from 10 years ago? Our standard of living is lower than the Scandinavian countries. Is it a surprise that those countries are socialist? They want to do what is right for the people, not the corporations. They aren't going to let a kid die of cancer because his parents aren't rich or he has a pre-existing condition.

The US healthcare system is to blame for declines in the country's life expectancy ranking, a study suggests.

The Columbia University report rejects claims that factors such as obesity have shortened life-spans for Americans relative to other wealthy nations.

The study blames reliance on costly and fragmented specialised care, and calls for systemic reform.

Its release comes as President Barack Obama's healthcare reform remains a key issue in upcoming mid-term elections.

The study notes that in 1950, the US ranked fifth among leading industrialised nations for female life expectancy at birth, but only 46th in 2008.

It finds that US healthcare spending increased at nearly twice the rate of that in other wealthy nations between 1970 and 2002, with the increased spending corresponding with worsening survival rates relative to the other countries studied.

"In most cases, the relative US performance deteriorated from decade to decade," wrote authors Peter Muennig and Sherry Glied of Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health.

They note the countries to which the US is compared - Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK - all provide universal healthcare coverage.

Factors such as differing obesity, smoking, road accident and murder rates were taken into account in the study.

The US spends far more on healthcare than any other country as a percentage of gross domestic product, the study finds.

"We speculate that the nature of our health care system - specifically, its reliance on unregulated fee-for-service and specialty care - may explain both the increased spending and the relative deterioration in survival that we observed," the authors wrote.

"If so, meaningful reform may not only save money over the long term, it may also save lives."

The authors said those aspects of the US health system contributed to unnecessary medical procedures, poor communication between doctors and higher rates of medical errors.

Noooo, please don't help the people Obama! I am a capitalistic pig that would rather see everyone else suffer so I can laugh my way to the bank!

You need to give to get.

You don't understand that. You just want handouts which is almost as pathetic as the Packers.

What are you even talking about? I'm asking for handouts? I'm covered by health care, I am not looking for handouts. You would rather just bring up random BS like a sports team though, which shows that you can't even debate a topic. Even with coverage, it is still [expletive]ty compared to other countries with universal coverage. Your debate skills are as pathetic as the Packers I guess(which really doesn't make any sense seeing as the Packers are doing pretty good right now...)

Great uneducated post that doesn't reflect what reality really is.

If you think all those countries depend on the US, you're wrong.
