Mark Cuban angry at NBA

Mavericks owner Mark Cuban isn’t too happy with the league-owned and funded New Orleans Hornets taking back salary and sending cash in today’s trade for Sacramento forward Carl Landry. That a franchise previously on such shaky financial ground that it needed an NBA bailout earlier this season actually increased its payroll greatly irritated Cuban. “That’s just wrong. That’s just wrong. That’s just absolutely, positively wrong,’” an incredulous Cuban said before tonight’s Dallas-Utah game. “I’ll probably go against the grain from everybody else, but that is so far wrong that it’s not even close. “There’s so few teams in the league that can afford to do that and yet we’re allowing a team that’s owned by the league to do that?” NBA.com

He got a point, though. It is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

He does but at the same time is it fair that the Hornets are unable to make any moves of any kind? NBA needs to sell New Orleans ASAP before any real problems rise.

Yes it is fair that the Hornets can't make moves. That is like asking if its fair that a team over the cap can't make moves

Absolutely. If you can't afford to take on salary or include cash in a trade, you shouldn't be able to do it. They shouldn't be able to use the NBA's money in a trade because they can't afford to do it themselves.

If you don't have the money to make a deal, you don't make the deal. It really is as simple as that as far as I am concerned.
