BREAKING: I was told by a trusted league source today at NBA Draft media day that Bismack Biyombo has a medical red flag with his back.

Could seriously change the outcome of the top 5 of the draft if this is true, considering I think there is a good chance that he is (was?) the 2nd player on the Raptors board.

Again, just like every other rumor that came out today in regards to the draft, take this with a grain of salt.

EDIT: It is worth mentioning that Colangelo had this to say about him earlier today:

“He is so raw that with a little bit of focus and coaching, he’s an interesting prospect for sure,” Colangelo said. “Someone is going to get a very good player there. We’re looking at the health and making sure everything is good there and we’ll look at the background stuff, but he’s a guy I think we have to have in that group at No. 5."

Maybe a member of the Raptors medical team, or some other team doing their last minute homework, found something? Who knows.

He also might have a buyout issue.

UPDATE: Biyombo may also have an issue with his buyout. According to ESPN's Andy Katz, "Biyombo's name was on a list sent out by the NBA Wednesday detailing players who were subject to a buyout. Teams have investigated and concluded that Biyombo would owe 1 million Euros or roughly $1.5 million, possibly equal to his rookie contract, to get out of his deal with Spanish team Fuenlabrada. Sources said that the buyout figure could be negotiated, but the matter could also end up in court."
