The Spurs are playing their third game in as many nights, so a healthy Tim Duncan will rest. But it causes a problem inside for San Antonio because backup Tiago Splitter will miss his third game because of mid-back spasms. Boris Diaw, acquired late last week after his contract buyout at Charlotte, will start. That gives the Spurs a frontcourt of the 6-8 Diaw and 6-7 DeJuan Blair (who scored 23 points in 25 minutes last night in a victory at New Orleans).

By design. It was the third night or 3 in a row. Tim definitely deserved the rest after the way he's been tearing it up the past 10+ games or so.
