Dallas made a calculated decision to not invest 15M annually in a guy who plays less than 30 minutes a game. Chandler is nearly 30 with a lot of miles on those legs, and he is a guy who relies heavily on his athleticism to be effective. Who knows how long it is until the Tyson Chandler that played in Charlotte 2 years ago re-appears? The Mavs made the right choice in letting him walk. Dallas is no longer in desperation mode, they can start thinking about what they are going to do a few years from now.. they still have enough talent to be a top seed in the west and make a run, and that is without giving someone much more money than he is worth.
