What's the best the Suns can get with Steve Nash?

Right now, Nash is closing in on his final season of his contract with the Suns, and is an $11-12 million expiring OR a veteran player that can run an offense.

Because of that, you have to wonder just how difficult it will be to trade him...but then again, you will have teams that believe he'd never wear their jersey via free agency, and maybe they want to unload a few players and convince him to sign an extension.

What do you think the Suns could get for Nash, assuming they do everything to trade him before the March 15th deadline?

Tough question to answer. He's already up there in age and not that great of a defender so there might be a reason that contenders might stay away from him. The guy is still an amazing player though. Even if he were to go to the Lakers who are probably the only decent team that is desperate for a point guard I still think the Lakers wouldn't be able to offer anything the Suns would want.

The teams that would be the most interested in him are the ones that have the least to give.

Teams like the Lakers, Knicks and Magic would all love to have him.

The problem is that what exactly would they have that would interest the Suns? Phoenix would have to take on a large salary or two and that really isn't worth it just to pick up a late 1st or run of the mill prospect. They'd be better off just letting him expire.

Nash's worth is probably a solid prospect, a pick and an expiring contract, but I don't see any deal where that happens.
