The 2009-'10 New Jersey Nets needed no less than 74(!) games to break the double-digit mark in wins. New Jersey reached win No. 10 of the season just two weeks before its end -- on March 29th 2010 (with a 90-84 home win over the Parker-less and Ginobili-less Spurs). The Nets eventually finished with a 12-70 record (.146) and solidified the "Worst NBA Team Ever" status for the 1972-'73 Philadelphia 76ers and their 9-73 mark (.110).

This season, the Bobcats have lost a franchise-high 14th straight games. This leaves them at 3-24 (.111) at the moment.

With 39 games left in the regular season, do you think they'll finish with the NBA's worst winning pct. ever?

To see how Charlotte compares, game by game, with the 1972-'73 Sixers go to:

One of the reasons why the Bobcats are currently with the league's worst record - veteran FW Corey Maggette missed 19 games (strained hamstring):

Now that he's back, and coach Silas is starting him, the Bobcats will for sure finish above Philadelphia's .110 pct.

They don't hold the record just yet. They have to lose tonight, against the Knicks.

If the Knicks tank, and the Bobcats win this last game, their win percentage shoots up to around .120 or so.

I'll let you have the honors of changing the title for the final time, Shaliq.

Much appreciated. :dribble:

THE FACTS: The Charlotte Bobcats put themselves in the NBA record book Thursday night with a 104-84 loss to the New York Knicks at Time Warner Cable Arena. The Bobcats now hold the league record for lowest winning percentage at .106 (7-59). That record eclipses the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers squad that finished 9-73 for a .110 percentage.

Worth its own thread or should we just keep all the suckitude in one? Anyways...

Kemba Walker made history himself.

He had the worst FG% of any player who would qualify for the FG% title in the 3 point era. He shot 36.63% (281-767) this year.

If he had made one less shot, going 280-767 he would've had the worst FG% in a season since 1965-66.

Wow, didn't realize that. He has to be disappointed, big time, after what he did last year at UConn...probably thought he was going to come in and dominate the league.
