Why not just go by regular season record, though?

Not really fair based upon the the fact teams play teams for the other league 1/9 of their schedule so we should we reward a team in one league just because they beat up on possibly weaker competition?

 

Anyway you gonna do it going to be flawed, tbh home field advantage in baseball has never been a big deal IMO, much bigger in football and basketball. I think the ASG deciding it is stupid but like iMan I agree, no big deal.

True, I didn't really consider that. Alternating years would probably be better, though.
