To me it seemed more of like someone's life story being told, or sort of a history of the world.

 

That's because Louis was telling his life story.

 

This is what vampire movies should look like, though. This romanticized, idealized version of a vampire that Twilight is spewing has put me off the genre for the time being. Vampires are dark creatures who need blood to survive (at least in my mind, they are fictional, of course) - Interview with a Vampire portrayed this really well.

Yeah I mean I knew that's what it was about. But it felt different from alot of other vampire/horror films I've seen. I will admit that it was dark, and clearly sticks to the whole vampires need lots of blood to live. I haven't see Twilight, but yeah...
