David Tyree who's miraculous catch helped the Giants win a Super Bowl two seasons ago, is now without a team.

 

Who, if anyone, do you think will pick him up. I think he's still solid on special teams and could be a unique 3 or 4 receiver on some teams. His time in the NFL is certainly not over. In fact, I think this opportunity will open many new doors that he never had in New York.

 

The Giants have cut wide receiver David Tyree(notes), whose incredible catch helped New York win Super Bowl 42 in 2008, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.

 

"I talked to (assistant GM) Kevin Abrams this morning and he said it was a very tough decision for the team," Tyree's agent, Michael Clouser, told the Star-Ledger Saturday morning. "Like anyone else, it was a tough thing for David to hear.

The only reason anyone knows his name was because he made that catch. He was their sixth receiver and a special teams player the entire time he was the Giants. It shouldn't come as a surprise.

Read the link... it says that Tyree wasn't surprised. He figured he'd be getting cut as the Giants have a whole bunch of talented receivers.
