Lou Williams

One of the few positives for the Sixers this season so far is how well Lou Williams has played. Everyone was really worried coming into the season about how Lou Will would handle the starting PG position when we got rid of Andre Miller. Well, I know it is a small sample size, but so far Lou Will has outplayed Miller.

17.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 5.2 apg, 1.6 spg

Shooting 52.6% from the field, 33.3% from three point land, and 84% from the line

6.5:1 Assist/Turnover ratio

Hollinger Stats:

.632 TS% (3 out of 9)

Assist ratio: 26.5 (5 out of 9)

Turnover ratio: 4.1 (1 out of 9)

PER: 24.19 (2 out of 9)

*Numbers in parentheses indicate where he ranks compared to Paul, Nash, Rondo, Parker, Westbrook, D. Williams, Arenas, and Billups.

He is the MIP of the league right now and is playing like a very good starting point guard. He is certainly showing the front office they made the right move. Not only is Lou Williams style a better fit for this team, but he is playing better than Andre Miller. Here are Dre Millers numbers as well

Dre Miller 2009-10

8.5 PPG

4.8 APG

3.0 RPG

0.5 SPG

29.8 FG%

14.3 3PT%

Lou's rebounding has been something really impressive IMO. He is playing much bigger than his size similar to what Jason Kidd and Rondo do. I would still like to see a more consistent three point shot.
