"Simple as that," Carlisle said. "If you don't play hard enough, you're going to get your [expletive] kicked. ... That's essentially what happened." San Antonio defeated Dallas 92-83 despite not having Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. Carlisle has complained about his team's effort and intensity level on a few occasions this season.
