Team By Team: Who Takes The Last Shot?

As the titles says, who should take the last shot on each of the 30 teams in the NBA. Lets say that you are down by 1 so that you don't necessarily have to get a 3, which opens the door for big men to get a touch.

A lot of people are saying D-Will should shoot the last shot for the Jazz, I have to disagree. I'd give it to Okur. He has hit clutch shot after clutch shot for the Jazz over the years. I'd also have to give Sundiata Gaines a shot if he was open.

For the Raptors, I would have the ball in probably Jose/Hedo's hands, have a screen from Bosh and then either drive, kick or pass. Iso late in games usually sucks for this team.

lol Caron Butler taking the last show for us? Maybe last year, but he's been atrocious this season...

Give me Earl Boykins or even Antawn Jamison for the last shot, maybe even Foye when his jumper is falling.

^ My thoughts exactly. Guess everyone's just been copy/pastin'. 'Twan > Caron, this season.

Well it has worked twice so far already this season. Once against the Sixers when Bosh took Dalembert off of the bounce for an And 1 and against the Spurs when they sent a double at him and he kicked it out to Bagnani for a dagger 3 pointer.

Granted neither of these were last second shots, they were down the stretch with under a minute to go regardless.

You serious?

Yeah, if it comes down to the final shot I'm giving the ball to Kobe not Fisher. Fisher has made a name for himself by hitting cluth shots, but no one in history has made as many gamewinners as Kobe (granted that he has attempted way more than Fisher). The reality is that it's really hard to hit a gamewinner in any level of play, and Kobe has done it 29 times ( the last I checked) compared to Fishers 8.

I think Fisher has proven to be a very, very reliable shooter in tight situations. It's why I voted for both. If you're running an out of bounds play, for example, and for whatever reason Kobe can't get the ball, Fisher would be open and I would not hesitate to feed him the rock, even with .4 seconds left.

New York - Al Harrington

After watching the Knicks-Raptors game earlier today, I am going to have to take back this selection. I knew that Harrington was an absolute balck hole on offense, but I have only watched 2 Knick games all season long (the ones against the Raptors) and I didn't realize exactly how much of a black hole that Harrington is.

I'd probably go with Nate Robinson. I would go with Gallinari, but at this stage in his career, I don't think that he is reliable enough to create his own shot in a pressure situation.
