  7. By the way, I think he'd start on a few teams in the NBA (at center). The Bobcats would be one of them. He's just not the same player he was a few years back, though...even not the same as last year. He just seems to be getting worse, with less interest in the game of basketball. He doesn't want to shoot, doesn't want to contest anything, doesn't want to be a part of the play itself. The blow to the chest is...if this were Spain, even if he was playing average basketball...he'd be trying as hard as he could.
  8. I have a feeling someone is going to run in here and post about how Gasol is the most skilled big man in the NBA, as if we're talking about the 2009 Gasol. He couldn't play off of Kobe last season, had trouble playing with Kobe and Howard this year as Nash sat on the bench...and now, he's worthless out there with Nash. And that's only on the offensive end. Defensively, there's nothing to say. He sucks. ------------- I was actually shocked when he drove to the rim to dunk the ball tonight...and then, not shocked when that attempt was swatted by Hawes, face up.
  9. Real talk...Jrue, Hawes and Turner had their way with Nash, Gasol and Artest...but the most disappointing thing about this season is seeing Gasol play like this, on both ends of the court. Hawes was contesting everything he put up, blocked his dunk easily, losing him, losing Ron on switches...it's just sad. Three baskets TOTAL from Howard and Gasol. Why aren't they getting into the P&R with Nash? Gasol comes out to set a screen, but then he just stands out there...like he's waiting for an open three. Howard doesn't even come up to attempt a P&R. Meanwhile, Ron Artest is taking more shots than anyone not named Kobe. This team is ridiculous.
  10. No help at the rim. Kobe has no shot at defending Jrue on the break, Gasol running back without even looking behind him, Nash running until he's under the rim, no Dwight anywhere, Jrue gets an easy dunk. Kobe is going to [expletive]ing retire tonight.
  11. Damnit, then Gasol gives up ANOTHER bucket.
  12. Punk/Taker wouldn't make sense to me IF Punk still has the title. Taker shouldn't win it (because he only wrestles once a year), and Punk shouldn't end the streak (probably the greatest push anyone has had in forever, ending Taker's streak, beating Cena multiple times, beating the Rock, and having the belt for almost two years???).
  13. Wow man, a layup right in Gasol's face, and he didn't even jump. Not even on a drive, either...and J-Rich, of all people.
  14. I HATE Pau Gasol. At least Howard is playing defense tonight. Gasol isn't doing a damn thing, like always.
  15. Kobe, Nash and Hill the only guys playing on the offensive end...Kobe the only one trying to score the ball, really. Howard and Gasol a combined 2-13.
  16. Good AND bad players have gone for that price over the years, unless I'm misunderstanding you. For all of the big-time QB's that go broke once they are drafted early (JaMarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, Joey Harrington, Tim Couch), you get a Tom Brady, Doug Flutie, Kurt Warner, Warren Moon, Rich Gannon, Mark Brunell, Matt Hasselbeck...and the list goes on. If I'm the Chiefs, and I can't make a trade to land Cousins with ANYTHING else on the roster (in an effort to do that AND keep the #1 pick), I'm going to deal that pick for Cousins. Is Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, or Mike Glennon a safer bet than Cousins right now? I'm not even going to bring up Collin Klein, or any other QB that could be in this upcoming draft. Kansas City will most definitely select a QB, so that's basically all I'm asking.
  17. So you'd take one of the QB's from the draft over Cousins?
  18. Bosh with the sideways fadeaway that hits the side of the backboard...should have taken the 18-footer there. Overtime!
  19. McRoberts fouled LeBron in the act of shooting...but the ref called it as a foul before the shot. Oops. Tied up, game-winner time? Ray Allen?
  20. Vucevic with 19 points and 27 rebounds, lol...what the hell? Miami's defensive rotations are pretty bad.
  21. Right, but at least he came out and gave us NFL fans a game-winning drive, and then won his first full game of his career. It's not much, but it's more than any QB in the draft has done. So I guess the big question is, do you take Cousins, or go with someone like Smith, and hope that he's not a JaMarcus Russell? Not that he plays like Russell, though...lol. Makes sense, but why not trade Cousins for a top 5-10 draft pick if it's in reach? You're not going to see Cousins for at least 75% of the season, anyway (assuming that RG3 isn't injury-prone his entire career).
  22. I honestly don't know. I mean, at the time, they were down double-digits...so I'm assuming it was because of that? I didn't see anything on the court that would have pissed him off that much.
