LOL, not so sure if I'll be the one doing that. My iPhone doesn't record vids. I'm sure someone will do it, though. I used to have a link of some guy's YT that had clips uploaded every week. He would go to every game and just sit there and record it, home and road...but that was a couple of years back.

Rest of the rankings: http://www.njcaa.org/sports_polls.cfm?sid=11&slid=5&category=polls First three, same state (Kansas), same region. How many times does this happen? :o Already got my tickets to the Coffeyville/Butler game this Saturday, too. Gonna be nasty. EDIT: Haha, we're on the banner. http://www.njcaa.org/images/themes/Fall/bkgrd_header_990w201h_new.jpg

Looks stupid. Should be all black, if he's going to get a tat on his neck. -
Oklahoma to Make English the Official Langauge
Real Deal replied to deestillballin's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Good for Oklahoma. It should be English. Three years ago, when I got my job with an oil refinery, I had to sit through a two-hour long test. I was one of the last people to grab a seat, and I got one right next to a translator and the illegal trying to get a job. He was illegal because he didn't understand, through speech or reading, a single word of English. The translator read every single question to him in Spanish, and he answered it. All in my ear, the entire two hours. Ironically, it was another who caused a reactor to blow up a few weeks ago because he didn't understand specific directions. If you know anything about oil refineries, you know they are the most dangerous places in the world. Had that reactor blew up near one of the many oil tanks, the entire refinery would've blew, and it takes our entire town with it, plus 10-15 miles in all directions outside of city limits (everything within 10 miles of the refinery literally melts, damage outside of that caused by the explosion). From just that one reactor blowing in the ammonia plant, it caused a boom that rattled windows 10 miles away...had people running out of the school across the street from me, looking east and praying it wasn't the Coop (that's what the refinery is called). Come to the US, learn English. Have your papers. Get a driver's license and a social security number. The people born in this country have to. It's bad enough that big-name factories and companies are hiring illegals to work for minimum wage (and sometimes less) just because they are twice as cheap, and they do it because they split rent and utilities with five others in the same house. Pretty ridiculous. -
They don't seem to be looking that bad, really...but when I'm watching them (I saw the entire Boston-Toronto game), I just don't know how they are going to score enough points to win regular season games. As mentioned in the other topic, I think Bargnani will need to play a lot of power forward, more than center, for the team to be successful. However, in a game against Chicago, against Joakim Noah, I don't see him at the five as much of a problem.

Will Reggie Evans Start At Power Forward?
Real Deal replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
By the way Smith put the five, it sounds like Evans will start at center. Typically, when you speak of lineups, you tend to put them in order. C - Evans PF - Bargs SF - Kleiza SG - DeRozan PG - Calderon And that would make sense, too, because there are plenty of power forwards in the league that Bargnani CAN defend, and you don't want him down in the post trying to out-muscle someone like Howard, Bynum, Yao or even Perkins. Wasn't Evans defending Shaq in that game against Boston? And I'm pretty sure I saw him on Lopez, and Bargnani on Hedo. -
Zero interceptions so far...when will he throw his first pick? WK6: @ Denver WK7: Bye WK8: vs. Green Bay WK9: @ Detroit WK10: @ Cleveland WK11: vs. Houston WK12: vs. Cincinnati WK13: @ New England WK14: vs. Miami WK15: @ Pittsburgh WK16: @ Chicago WK17: vs. Buffalo

Fact: no team starting 0-5 has ever made the playoffs. Will they get in? Current standings... NFC WEST Cardinals: 3-2 Seahawks: 2-2 Rams: 2-3 49ers: 0-5

Fesenko was playing like a top center in the league. Sucks not seeing Oden out there for the Blazers, though.

Kobe Bryant may not be ready for season opener
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Just to make you feel better...our last opening loss was against Houston, in 2007. Of course... C - Kwame PF - Turiaf SF - Walton SG - Kobe PG - Fisher No Odom...not much to even work with, really, lol...but a win is a win. Before that? 2002, against the Spurs. No Shaq, lol. Before that? 1991...against Hakeem and the Rockets. -
Kobe Bryant may not be ready for season opener
Real Deal replied to magicbalala245's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Yeah, that was the year after they eliminated us from the playoffs the first time around (so, should've been the 2006-07 season). Odom destroyed Phoenix, had 30+ points and grabbed a lot of boards. Amare didn't play much, though...maybe a quarter. Funny thing was, the starters were... C - Bynum PF - Odom SF - Walton SG - Vujacic PG - Smush I really have no idea how we beat Nash, Marion, Barbosa, Diaw and Bell. -
You could, but Cutler has thrown three INT in four games. Favre has seven of them in the same amount of games. When a guy is throwing more interceptions than touchdowns (I'm almost 100% sure Favre hasn't thrown seven TD's yet), and he's the all-time leader in interceptions thrown, there's no reason for anyone to be mad that people are joking about it. Everyone should be making fun of Alex Smith, actually.
-
Never said you did, but I was hoping that was the reason why he overthrew Moss and Harvin so many times. And when they were showing a few of those replays where he threw some of those bad passes, there wasn't anyone within an arm's length of him. Definitely not saying it's all his fault, but he wasn't Brett Favre out there, and I was definitely not surprised to see the pick 6 to end the game.
-
Sure, but the fumbles and the two terrible throws on the second to last possession (especially the crap throw to a wide-open Harvin)...it's unacceptable. He actually overthrew Moss a couple of times, missed Harvin 3-4 times. I realize he has tendinitis, but if the tendinitis was affecting him THAT much, he wouldn't have threw those TD's in the second half.
-
Haha, nice, but not too impressive. We all knew.

If any of you are big baseball fans, you'll remember how Ken Griffey Jr. hit home runs out of the park. His swing seemed slower than normal, and just perfect...no force behind it, no struggle...nothing. Doesn't it seem like Moss makes catches like that, too? As if he's not even trying, and it's like his QB is throwing the ball from three yards away? Just crazy how effortless he makes it look.

Sterger was in Playboy, just in case nobody knew (there was some controversy about her a while back, I remember reading about it on RealGM's football forums). http://thatkush.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/jenn-sterger-playboy-200x300.jpg Wowzers.

Fire Department Lets House Burn Down
Real Deal replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
I get what you're saying, and I understand that the town decided on that. However, the town should have no right to do that because, technically, it endangers lives. And, in that light, those firefighters (meaning, all of them) should've stepped up to do what's right. If they had any balls, they would've all went on strike once the town put that fee into place. If I'm a firefighter, and a family is standing out there watching a chunk of their life being burned to the ground, I dive in and save it. Lose my job? Good. The town will definitely hear about it, as a whole, and will be forced to change their policy, and I'll eventually be reinstated, or offered a job elsewhere because of my heroics. Having the fee is wrong. It's ALSO wrong to stand there and watch that home burn down when you're fully capable of making a difference. -
Fire Department Lets House Burn Down
Real Deal replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
First of all, that's stupid. People pay taxes for that very reason, and that's the end of that discussion. If a chick was hiding in her closet, close to being murdered, and she phoned the police, should they ignore it if she didn't pay her "police fee" (if that existed)? What if there was a baby in that fire? People need to do the right thing, sometimes going beyond what they are told to do. When I was 15, I had a diabetic seizure in a grocery store. A cashier ran to grab some honey, gave it to my mom to use in between my cheeks to bring my sugars back up. Didn't pay for the bottle of honey. If that bottle was $75, I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered...and if so, it would've been paid for AFTER it was used. They stop the fire immediately, and if they are still heartless, they can charge the family $75 after it's over with. That's more related to things like flood and fire insurance. Do you know what hospitals do? They have to accept you no matter what, insurance or nothing at all, empty pockets, whatever...and they bill you later. You come in there with a devastating injury, and they are required, by law, to treat you. Doesn't even have to be that big of an injury, either. Firefighters, police, and doctors/nurses in the ER...they are all required to do their job (or should be required to do so), no matter the situation.
