LOL, yep. This was one of the funniest commercials I've seen in a long time.
-
LMAO, true.

Can't say it's pointless. The more Utah loses, the closer they get to a first-round loss, and that has to be satisfying for Houston fans.

Golden State @ Minnesota
Real Deal replied to alcstarheel's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
The career may belong to Nelson, but the man of the night was Curry. 27 points on 12-22 FG (55%), 8 rebounds, 14 assists, 7 steals Fire. That's pretty close to a quad-double. -
Figures. Keep slipping to that eighth seed, Thunder.
-
The Raptors are the most inconsistent team I've ever seen. They weren't looking too good to start the season, then they surged and threw themselves into the playoffs, went on a nice streak of wins and looked good after putting Jack in the five, got weird and changed things up again, but then Bosh started dominating all by himself...and just like that, the Raptors went south in the playoff rankings, then their players started becoming extinct due to injuries, and now it looks as if their kind will be wiped off the map by mid-April.
-
I think I know who you're talking about...the kid that had 30% more lung capacity, or something like that?
-
Melo and Billups are a combined 10-30 (5-15 each) from the floor, and the Nuggets look confused out there. This should've been an easy win for Denver, even on the road, because the Thunder just had it out with the Jazz last night, 140-139. The Thunder are for real.
-
Nothing is negative when they are beating the Jazz.

Yes!

He's going to be a very good basketball player in high school, that's for sure. I can't say he'll be good enough to be a D1 player, though...way too early. Some players hit that wall at 16 or 17 years old.

Apple Store goes into lockdown when man wants to buy Macbook
Real Deal replied to Lkr's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Who knows? If he was 5'1" and 110 pounds, 13 years old, with glasses, a suit and pocket-protector, and black...do you think this would've happened? If it was a guy with the size and facial features of Brock Lesnar, and same skin color, with a tank top on? If you see a white guy walking down the alley, and he's wearing a hoodie and he's a foot taller than you and about 100 pounds heavier, and it's midnight, do you brush it off because he's white, or do you keep an eye on him? Skin color doesn't make a difference. Here's a really good question to ask yourself, though: how many black guys shop at that particular Apple store? I'm sure he's not the only one. Do you think they do this every time? Size, weight, facial expressions, tone, it all plays a part in someone taking caution. He seems to be a big guy, and a big guy in a hurry (and probably demanding the employee to hurry) is a problem. -
New rules for round two: 1) 16 lines max. 2) At least one of those lines must be about your opponent's favorite sports team (basketball, football, etc). 3) One line has to end with your opponent's display name on OTR. You can exclude numbers. For example, "Yugo" and "stat" can be used in this battle. 4) Cussing will be censored if you decide to use it. Don't bypass the censor with asterisks or other symbols. 5) If you say Dick Vitale's first name, please censor it yourself by typing [expletive]. In the manner it would be used in this contest, it should be filtered out. NOBODY ELSE POST IN THIS TOPIC UNTIL THE SECOND RAP IS ADDED. After both competitors are finished, members can place their vote. Please explain your vote. The lower seeds (in terms of position) go first. Based on this match-up, Yugo will be asked to post his, followed by s.t.a.t. You have two days to post. Good luck, fellas. Run yo mouth!

Gonna go ahead and close this one. Nice job guys.

WMNS: #1 Stanford vs. #1 Connecticut
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in General NCAA Discussion
FYI - the record for most consecutive wins goes to the UCLA men, with 88, back in 1971 (IIRC). They had 16 games in that streak where they won by nine or less. Notre Dame ended the streak. Ten games into next season, the UConn women could tie it up, but they'll have to do it without Tina Charles and Kalana Greene. -

Yeah, I was actually shocked to see Stanford's defense just die out in that half. Maya Moore was unstoppable. 53-47 UConn, second consecutive title, 78 consecutive wins without a loss. Out of those 78 straight wins, this is the first game to end by less than a 10-point margin (UConn won 77 of them by double-digits). This game was the lowest point total of the streak, and lowest field goal percentage, but the most satisfying victory of them all. -
Garnett is always like that. No surprise.

This has to be the worst game I've ever seen from two teams. It was 20-12 at the half, and after four minutes in the second half, it's 20-15. -

Stanford had just one loss this entire season, and it was against UConn. Looks like they've been watching tapes and studying a bit more, because the UConn ladies are having trouble. HUGE upset if Stanford pulls it off. -
Apple Store goes into lockdown when man wants to buy Macbook
Real Deal replied to Lkr's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
I'm not sure if you guys are actually listening to the important parts of the video, but he stated that he was in a rush, and he needed the laptop now. Jessica (my girlfriend) was told when she worked at Hibbett Sports (a sporting good store) to take caution when customers are in a hurry to obtain something. Because he was also at the register, I think it was the employees realizing there could have been a problem, because... 1) the girl said "forerunner" AFTER the guy stated that he was in a rush and wanted the laptop immediately, and 2) he probably was in fact rushing, and maybe a bit more impatient than what he claimed in the video he made So, I'm not buying racism here. -
LMAO. A broken nose is tough to play with. Feels like your nose weighs 30 pounds, and you get headaches quickly.
-
Wow, tough break. You just knew it was broken, though. I'm not sure if the Raptors are going to hold onto that eighth. They really needed to win this game, somehow, and if Bosh is going to miss tomorrow's game as well, that's a bad deal.

The Clippers are open. Slaven hasn't claimed them, so they are yours.
