Combined Fans' Choice for MVP to Count as One Vote on Ballot
Real Deal replied to Teletopez's topic in General NBA Discussion
Pretty good idea, but how many times does the MVP come down to one single vote? With that said, everyone vote for Kevin Durant. -
Jackson, Johnson and Van Gundy would all be good for the Nets. Keep this in mind: at least you're not rumored to get Eddie Jordan or Terry Stots.

Best wrestling events ever?
Real Deal replied to Real Deal's topic in MMA, Wrestling and Boxing Forum
The ones I remember being really good...probably the PPV with Muta and Sting, and Flair fighting Funk. That was back in the day, lol. Then the PPV where Brock took out The Rock, and Shawn Michaels returned. Finally, that Austin/HHH match...the Three Stages of Hell? I'm pretty sure that PPV was good from top to bottom. Sorry that I don't remember the names, haha. -
I'll run one for the playoffs.

Rules: 1) 16 lines max. 2) At least two of those lines must be about your opponent's favorite sports team (basketball, football, etc). 3) Cussing will be censored if you decide to use it. Don't bypass the censor with asterisks or other symbols. 4) If you say Dick Vitale's first name, please censor it yourself by typing [expletive]. In the manner it would be used in this contest, it should be filtered out. NOBODY ELSE POST IN THIS TOPIC UNTIL THE SECOND RAP IS ADDED. After both competitors are finished, members can place their vote. Votes are only valid with an explanation containing three or more sentences, no exceptions. The lower seeds (in terms of position) go first. Based on this match-up, s.t.a.t. will be asked to post his, followed by deestillballin. You have two days to post. Good luck, fellas. Run yo mouth!

Well, that was the entire point of bringing him in, nothing more. I don't think he, or anyone on the team, expected him to average over 12-13 PPG in our offense. However, we are currently in the middle of the NBA in offensive rankings, which is not good. Part of that has to do with us not knocking down threes, part of it our bench production (25th or worse in the league most of the season), and mainly only Bryant and Gasol showing the ability to put up the scoring to win games. Everyone else is inconsistent, can't knock down open shots, can't create for themselves, or are in and out of the lineup with injuries (Bynum, Walton). It'll have to all pull together soon. Second-best in the NBA doesn't mean anything right now, and it's looking more and more like we'll be relying on Bryant to close it out again.

Looks like we have a lot of Sasha Vujacics on this board.
-
How many people have actually watched him this season? He's been an absolute monster on defense, probably top three defensive player in the league. Just because he's not fitting in offensively doesn't mean he's not giving us production. We'll adjust in May/June.

About 26 people played it the first week...and by the end of it all, two things happened: 1) Kyle was really busy doing other things on and off the board, and 2) there were only 8-9 people participating in the last two weeks Last year's game, it ended with about 2-3 people playing...so really, there was no point in pushing it further. It was best to cut it off before we played it too deep into the season.

Not really sure. Again, this is just something little. I wanted the Member Teams feature again, but the developer hasn't updated it for the new software, and he probably won't.

Let's say you're trying to get a non-fan interested in wrestling. What three PPV's, in order, would you show him? Basically, I'm looking for the best of all-time, whether it happened yesterday or 20 years ago.

It's just in the new skin.

Yeah, yeah...quality over quantity...but we need quantity as well, and this is something cool because we can relate it to points per game, right? Anyway, just a fun, SMALL addition to the forums. You'll see it to the left, under your avatars and other information.

Bryant is staying in Los Angeles. It's not even a question in anyone's mind, at least among Lakers fans.
-
If Utah were to lose this game, and Phoenix won theirs, the Jazz would drop to 4th in the standings, one win ahead of the Nuggets. Another loss, and the Jazz would lose home court advantage in the first round. They need to win these games against the non-playoff teams, at the very least.
-
No reason for the Knicks to tank, but every reason for the Blazers to keep winning games. New York is 10-25 on the road, and the Blazers are a solid home team that has gone 8-2 in their last 10 games. The Blazers take it and stay ahead of the Spurs in the playoff race.
-
The Spurs need to win to avoid Los Angeles in the first round, and the Rockets need to win the rest of their games to have a chance at the playoffs (a very slim one). Maybe Manu was resting the last game, so I'll assume he'll come out firing, and Houston will drop one in San Antonio.

Washington @ New Orleans
Real Deal replied to alcstarheel's topic in New Orleans Pelicans Team Forum
Hornets are at home (23-14 record), they have Chris Paul and David West, and the Wizards can't win in March. Lock 'em up for that winless month! -
Sacramento @ Minnesota
Real Deal replied to alcstarheel's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
Evans is back in the five, and the Kings are still terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if they take this one, though. The Wolves have lost 16 in a row, a.k.a. Tanking. -
Dallas isn't looking too hot right now, but Memphis has had their struggles at home, for some reason. I expect the Mavericks to get the win here, especially if the Grizzlies are already counting their chickens before they hatch (and they might as well, because they aren't making the playoffs).
-
The Spurs were without Ginobili when they lost to the Nets. Phoenix locked up their playoff spot, but they would LOVE home court in the first round, so they could be running the Nets out of their own building tonight.
-
Could be a tough game, because I can see Detroit walking into the Palace, hoping to ruin someone's playoff hopes instead of tanking. Miami isn't in the clear yet. If they can end up with the sixth seed and a date against the Celtics, assuming the Hawks screw up, that would probably be their best bet at a first-round series victory.
-
I'm interested in the Rondo/Westbrook match-up more than anything else. The Thunder can look to Durant as their MVP, but they have to thank Westbrook for his emergence as a dangerous guard in the West.
-
Big game for the Raptors, even though it would be a small win back in December. Toronto doesn't want a piece of the Cavs, so they have to roll into the final month of the season eager to grab the 7th seed in the East.
