  1. Larry Bird. Greatness does include personal and team accomplishments, and for the same reason Kobe hasn't surpassed Jordan as the greatest two-guard ever, James hasn't surpassed Larry as the greatest small forward.
  2. Battier is starting to suffer from old age. His defense was excellent in Memphis, and Gasol was as soft as ever back then. I would say that Brandon Roy is closer to a Scottie Pippen than anyone else in the NBA. I said this about Granger last year, but he's falling off the map...just too inconsistent defensively. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201001080POR.html He defended Bryant that game, and he was amazing. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200912200MIA.html This was the second game a few weeks after the Heat beat the Blazers, and Roy switched over to Wade for the entire game that time around. I actually remember this one because I saw the interview where he stated he just tried to contain Wade and force him into bad shots. Also, Wade was suffering from back spasms a practice before the game, but they didn't seem to bother him for the first two quarters, where he tried to attack the basket. I think you'll remember that game. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200911160ATL.html There was the game that Roy forced Johnson into taking over 30 shots. I remember one where JR Smith was forced into 23 shots, shot 39% while doing so...and I think that was the game Billups was injured. http://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200911010OKC.html That game above is where the Thunder fans were booing like crazy, because they kept thinking Roy was fouling Durant. At the end of the game, Kevin was 3-20 from the floor. Roy is an excellent defensive player. Everyone benefits from a big. We could all say Rondo definitely does, especially with Perkins sitting up front as well (with Garnett). As far as Dahntay Jones goes, I didn't see him as a top five defensive player. He's nowhere near Afflalo's level. Jones was a hacking machine, and he got away with so many hand-checks, elbow taps, jersey grabs and wrist-holding than anyone else in the NBA.
  3. Because we are the best country in the world, we do everything right, and we have an awesome military and don't care about your country. Pfft, you already knew this.
  4. Gotta go with the Suns Gorilla as well. I believe he's just one of two to be a playable character in an actual video game (Benny the Bull being the other, NBA Jam...right?). There's a reason for that.
  5. LOL, that's bull[expletive]. The government doesn't do that with your insulin through Medicaid or Medicare. Instead, they require that you tell them how much insulin you take per day, and that gives you restrictions so you don't go and get 30 bottles of it for $90, sell each bottle for $90 with no prescriptions, and make money. It'll be the same with this. Misinformation is ruining this country. I don't know who all is saying what, but it's very clear that people are being spoon-fed this massive amount of BS, and assumptions are coming from those who have no prior experience with government-run health care, let alone be in a situation where that care has saved their lives, or they are relying on it every single day to live. I could go on and on about it, but nobody will listen to those who actually know something. People like me are the idiots that do crack, heroin, reproduce at massive rates, and live off the system and everyone else's taxes. [expletive] people like me.
  6. Be sure to bold your vote, then follow it up with an argument as to why you believe he is deserving of the vote.
  7. Be sure to bold your vote, then follow it up with an argument as to why you believe he is deserving of the vote. In-game, dunk contest, overall dunker...who is it?

  10. My vote goes to Tim Duncan, and it's not even close between him and Garnett. Second would be Malone, followed by Barkley, KG and McHale. Tim is just too good, fundamentally. Offense, defense, just too much to handle for anyone, and his accomplishments, both team and individual, surpass everyone else considered. With that said... Duncan - 8 Garnett - 1 Hill - 1 Duncan wins.
  11. Rodman - 8 Hakeem - 1 Pippen - 1 Russell - 1 Dikembe - 1 Dennis Rodman takes it.
  12. Shaq - 8 Kareem - 6 Russell - 2 Wilt - 1 Hakeem - 1 Any more votes?
  13. Something he definitely needs to take less of.
  14. Brandon Roy, Thabo Sefolosha or Kirk Hinrich...too tough to call.
  15. In no order... Kirk Hinrich Arron Afflalo Brandon Roy Kobe Bryant Dwyane Wade Honorable Mention: Eric Gordon, Thabo Sefolosha
  16. Don't leave out Brandon Roy. He's one of the better defensive players in the league. I'll add my list later.
  17. Watch the personal attacks. I would debate in here, but I'll just pretend like I'm back with my private insurance company, and that means I'm blind again and can't type a long reply. All of that crack and heroin I've done over the last 2-3 years has really screwed me over, also.
  18. What, exactly? William Wesley? Basically, he's been the guy who has helped troubled athletes at every turn. Michael Jordan actually gave him his ticket into the league, though...hired him for his basketball camp, and the media jumped on Wesley's bandwagon since then. Wesley is the guy that ran up to Artest during the brawl, the one in the suit. A ton of people thought he was just someone in the Pacers' organization or something, but he's practically an "advisor" of sorts, like the advisors you see at colleges, haha.
  19. Miami won, despite shooting 35% from the floor. Why? The Bobcats were held to 29% shooting, LOL.
  20. Did anyone see West's flagrant foul? Someone said it wasn't too bad and that it should've been an F1.
  21. You aren't the Warriors unless you allow 150 PPG.
  22. Wow, Bosh didn't want to lose this game. He scored 36 tonight. What's going on with CDR? Is he coming off an injury, or...?
  23. Very unlikely that they would've selected Jordan, actually. Houston was high on both McCray (who they picked up the previous year, third overall) and Lloyd, and that covered the two and three. The Rockets would've selected Perkins or Barkley, because of their interest in the PF slot. Sort of weird that they could've had Hakeem, Barkley and Drexler though...since that's the trio they had when all of them were about to exit their primes.
  24. West Virginia needs to mop the floor with the Tigers. That would be fantastic.
