Williams: I'm The Best Point Guard In The League
AboveLegit replied to The Regime's topic in Utah Jazz Team Forum
Deron is the best going right now. It's extremely evident when Deron can drop one of the better defenders @ PG in Chauncey Billups off for 33pts and 14 dimes- on the road- in the playoffs. And then Deron's pushing Melo out of the post and holding his ground against Melo defensively... drawing frustration/offensive fouls on Melo and such. Deron's game is tremendous... he's invisible right now to the rest of the league's PG's... they cannot see him. When healthy Paul scores at a higher rate, scores more efficiently, gets assists at a higher rate, gets to the free throw line more, hits a higher percentage of free throws, turns the ball over less and is even a better rebounder so I would go with Paul. -
I've heard all positive reviews for this, hell even Rotten Tomatoes gave it a Fresh, I gotta watch it this weekend.

Finally the C's get out of the first round early.. Now they get some rest and prepare for the Cavs.
-
Pierce with the post up jumper, and that should be it.
-
Lupe by far...and this is coming from a guy who's big on Wale (since he's from D.C.)
-
There you go Pierce. Timeout Miami.

Lol, TCD, Late Registration, and Graduation were great albums, loved them. TCD is my favorite.
-
Yeah this is going to be a wild fourth quarter, IMO the only way the Celtics maintain this lead is if Ray is in and playing well.
-
Not so fast. I have a feeling Wade is ready to take over soon. 21 point lead down to 10 for the C's.
-
Ray Ray heating up, 3 straight threes for him.
-
It's Tommy Heinsohn, you gotta get used to him. Easily the most biased commentator in the league.
-
Refs have been horrible for both teams.
-
There we go, nice run for the C's. Hopefully Pierce stays aggressive and looks to score.

Raiders preparing to cut Russell

Skins should sign him, we need some help on the O-line. -
Damn this is pretty good. Cube still got it.

If every player was in their prime...

Rasheed, Pierce, Ray, Garnett, Rondo, Finley is an all star line up. Hard to go against them. Remember, Finley was a 20PPG guy in his prime. -
Can Individual Scoring Eventually Trump Overall Play?
AboveLegit replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
I think I worded my post wrong, shouldn't have used Durant and Melo as examples, my fault guys. -
I thought Gradkowski had a 2-2 record last year? Idk, can't remember... But anyways, it has to be Campbell, you want him to be your starting QB in the future, might as well use him now and get him adapted to your style of play. Oakland has some talent, so that may be a good situation for him. He wasn't good in the WCO, but I do admire the guy for taking that awful beating last year all while the Zorn circus was going on. Hope he does well as long as he's not playing the Skins.

Raiders acquire QB Jason Campbell in trade with Redskins
AboveLegit replied to Legacy's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
You better hope your offensive line is half decent this season, because Campbell won't do anything without it. McFadden must stay healthy, and I hope Heyward-Bey has a breakout season. -

The fact that we traded JC for a draft pick two years down the road should help quiet some fears about the current regime being all about "win-now." I love the fact that they're willing to stockpile picks for the future rather than only wanting instant gratification. Would much rather have a 4th than a 5th or 6th rounder even if you do have to wait a year or two for it. Campbell was complicit in his problems, but the obstacles he dealt with on this team were very real... esp. last year. No running game, receivers that led the NFL in drops, and an absolutely horrible O-Line. JC is a good man, hope him all the best. He does not fit Shanahan type offense and moving to Raiders should give him a chance to compete on a team that has at least made good moves in the draft this year. -
After hearing these statements regarding Durant and LeBron eventually being the two best players in the next decade, it got me wondering.... Why hasn't Carmelo Anthony been apart of this discussion? I think we can all agree that Durant is the better scorer of the two (though one might be inclined to say Melo is the better post scorer), but Melo beats him on the boards, passing, and overall defense. Melo is getting more aggressive every season and polishing up his all-around game as well. On the defensive end, Melo is finally an asset instead of bailing people out. But, if Durant keeps improving his scoring each year to the point where he's damn near impossible to stop, will it come a point where people will neglect Melo's overall play and value Durant's scoring over it? Is it already happening? What does this tell you about the significance of individual scoring in this league? Discuss.

I don't think we will pass up on Wes Johnson, he's the better player.
