I am still on the 'he's so full of shit' bandwagon. He could sign a contract that pays him over 30 million dollars annually after this one is up, and lets not act like basketball isn't Kobe's life. Not sure if the Lakers would give it to him, but yeah. I would be shocked if he walked away, barring some sort of major injury. A Kobe-less league is going to be weird though.

Have to think the other 22 owners (or so) will come to their senses by the time this CBA expires and realize that a hard cap is the only solution for parity (if they really want it).

What I expect entirely depends on if the coaching staff jerks him around or not. He's already as good as Amir Johnson, but he gets no run. His per 36 numbers for both seasons were 10-10-1.5 type. I think he's a very solid player in this league if we let him be.

I wouldn't trade anything along with Bargnani for him when we could just take a run at him this summer. I'm not even sure I'd trade Bargnani for him in all honesty, because we have to get buckets from somewhere. We saw what we looked like without Bargnani last year offensively (and the year before).

He is so underrated at times it is honestly criminal. I would LOVE if the Raptors made a run at him this summer. I would trade him if I was them, because there is no way in hell he is going to want to go back to that franchise, and I wouldn't blame him at all.

People act like it was 4 years ago Dirk was the best player on a title team without another all-star on it. It was less than 500 days ago (or so). He is right there with the best of them. I think you could just as easily make an argument for 5th as you could for 1st. I'd stick him probably somewhere in between, probably 2nd, right ahead of Pau, behind Love (as much as it kills me).

I think Philly is going to surprise a lot of people this year... in a bad way. Give me New York easily 7 days of the week if Felton is in at least half way decent shape.

Its just odd that they peg us at or close to exactly where we were last year when we have 2 significant upgrades in our starting 5 now. Yes, Fields is a considerable upgrade at the 3 where we were putrid last year. Also, we actually have a couple guys who can actually shoot this year, and while V is gonna struggle, he is still going to give us more in 10-15 minutes than Gray does in 35. I think the Raps could surprise some people. We may not win 40, or make the playoffs, but when teams see us on the schedule, I don't think they (they actual players) will see the Raptors on the schedule and think its going to be an easy win. I think we are going to be pretty tough to play against this year, or at least have the potential to be.

Its going to be interesting to see where the line is drawn. I still don't see why it can't just be a foul if you flop, that would stop players faster than taking money out of their pocket (unless we're talking 100,000 dollar fines here, which I doubt, probably knock a 0 off that). Will the refs [expletive] up occasionally? Of course, but the league is gonna [expletive] up too this way. At least they're not taking money out of players' pockets, which is ridiculous if you ask me. Do you really think small fines are gonna affect superstar calls? Is money really an issue for the floppers (who are 99% star players who are loaded)? This is the worst way they could have gone about this, the more I think about it.

Durant AND Paul over Dwight? Ridiculous. Chris Paul is my favourite player in the league and he isn't close to Dwight (we're not talking about 08 Chris Paul). Dwight should be 2nd, its not even really close for me (and I don't say this lightly, as I hate him). Stick Durant on those Magic teams and how many games are they winning? Are they even getting home court in the playoffs? Probably not.
