  1. Right. Which is why we are basically discussing rap...I'd say 90% of this board listens to Rap/Hip Hop mostly.

    Damn...no one checked this out?
  3. It was necessary. Most on both sides of the aisle agreed it was a necessary measure...the government had to make an attempt to do something regarding the economy. Here is a good article on the bailout/stimulus package, I agree completely: http://money.cnn.com/2010/07/16/news/economy/populist_hype.fortune/index.htm Some Of Obama's accomplishments thus far: -Signed order to close the prisoner “torture camp” at Guantanamo Bay -Protected 300,000 education jobs, such as teachers, principals, librarians, and counselors through the Recovery Act that would have otherwise been lost. -Lower drug costs for seniors -Provided tax credit to workers thus cutting taxes for 95% of America’s working families. -Helped reverse a downward spiral of the stock market. On January 19, 2009, the last day of President Bush’s presidency, the Dow closed at 8,218.22. In October 2010, the Dow closed at 11,132.90. -Shifted focus back from Iraq to Afghanistan. Including withdrawing troops from Iraq and deploying more troops to Afghanistan. -Health Care Reform (no matter what you think of it, it's something he said he'd do as President) Now, has Obama been great as President? No. Has he been worse then I thought he'd be? Not particuarly. I didn't think anyone could do much about the Economy. I think the bank bailouts and stimulus package were necessary, but I didn't think they'd have some type of AMAZING impact. We still need to be fair and give him another two years to see what he can do.
  4. He did that in an attempt to spur the economy with projects like the stimulus package, which although you think it was an utter failure, was necessary at the time - and although it wasn't as successful as I, or, I think Obama thought it would be it was definitely a maneuver that was necessary and unemployment and the economy would be worse then what it is now. And he's had plenty of successes that the right fail to recognize.
  5. That's opinion; not even CLOSE to fact... Sure, 9/11 was certainly tough times, and I do feel like Bush was a strong leader right after 9/11. I've always credited Bush for that. He was so wrong with Iraq though, and that was a huge mistake. It's that simple. I was one of the few (and Im being honest) to speak out against Iraq at the time. I just knew it was a mistake to take your attention away from the Osama and go after Sadaam, someone who had no proven track record to be involved in 9/11. Just really pissed me off.
  6. Well, increasing taxes slightly on the 250k+ bracket would help put funding towards programs or projects that are in need of it, and give more money back to the middle class so they'd have more to pump into the economy. so it could help. who knows though. I honestly am not sure anyone can help this economy right now to be honest...
  7. And go back to what? The failed policies of the previous eight years from 00-08?... The reason I like and supported Obama so much wasn't because he was a Democrat but because I thought his ideas make sense - and I still think they do. But I think he's limited by a lot of clowns in government on BOTH sides. I'm not registered as a Democrat or Republican, and never will be. I go with the candidate that seems intelligent, has the ability to make tough decisions, and that makes sensible decisions for the middle class. More then like it's going to be a Democrat, but there's times I would certainly vote Republican if I liked the candidate. Which is why I'd consider myself an independent. I listen to all sides on every issue.
  8. When will America start voting for people who actually make sense? [expletive] Republicans and Democrats.
  9. What? It makes perfect sense that someone who makes 250K a year pays a litte more then someone who makes 75K a year. And someone who is making 250K a year in this economic climate is not feeling near the effects of someone making 75. Like I said, I'm not for absolutely taxing the [expletive] out of them or something, but if you Repub's want to "close" this budget gap maybe we should go back to economic policies that made sense (aka the 90's)
  10. But yet the fiscal conservatives want to cut the goods and services because of the debt, but when he wants to raise taxes on a group that can afford it (I'm not saying a huge tax increase, but rather go back to the tax policies of the Clinton admin.) you're up in arms. I simply just can't comprehend that to put it in a respectful way bro.
  11. I did at first. But i revisited it and gave it another shot, and it damn well might end up being the album of the year. I'm not even the biggest Em fan (some thing hes the GOAT) but this is a really good album...especially considering the recovery (no pun intended) from his last two albums.
  12. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2010/oct/16/obama-end-tax-breaks-stop-overseas-hiring/ Since no one ever credits Obama for a damn thing on this site...lets argue about this.
  13. it's a thread on a forum. forums are meant for discussions...if no one put their opinions or two cents in, there'd be no discussion, and hence no forums.
  14. I thought it was pretty baller, weird as [expletive] for sure, but it's different and creative.
  15. Sure...of course the term is rich is subjective. But it's pretty obvious that in this economic climate, in the year 2010 in the United States of America, 250K is rich. It's not wealthy when you compare it to the richest people in the world...sure, but that's not what were doing. We're comparing it to other people who could use the tax cuts, AKA the people under 250K a year. So in this context, it's rich.
  16. lmfao...yeah because everybody wants to just live the average life. [expletive] havin money brah!
  17. Who's to say someone making 75k, or even 40k isn't working hard? LOL...Someone making 250K can certainly have a vacation home if they care to...Unless they have some crazy situation where they have like 10 kids or something to support. lol.
  18. A little bit, but not really. I mean, spitta is from NO and 3K from ATL....so i can see a little of the southern feel of their flow but andre 3k has such a tighter flow. and andre 3k is prob a top 10 mc, arguably top 5
  19. seems to always happen on the special teams kickoffs/punts too when guys are running full speed at each other like that
  20. I was at the game, and god was that a scary site and hit. He layed motionless for seven minutes before being taken off on a stretcher/cart. Rushed to the hospital, they performed emergency spine surgery...please keep Eric LeGrand in your thoughts and prayers. http://sports.espn.go.com/new-york/ncf/news/story?id=5696563
  21. I think it was the same, just without the part at the end "says Eric Holder"
  22. lol...that's not my point. I realize it sucks when you get your check and there's money taken out for taxes. But what people fail to realize is that it goes to services that people take for granted. For example, when my High School wanted to build a turf field the past few years, everyone was up in arms over the tax increase for a new turf field...when it would raise taxes $50 dollars a year for the next 5 years for all the families in the town.
  23. I've always pondered this question...I just don't get it. This is not the Revolutionary War times. Taxes build schools, that turf field for your high school football, soccer, and field hockey team, and roads that YOU travel on EVERYDAY. But it seems like everybody is ALWAYS complaining about taxes...as if that money just goes to the the Devil. I understand that sometimes taxes get out of control, and I understand that the MIDDLE/LOWER CLASS needs a BREAK...but what is up with these Tea Party morons saying we need to limit/get rid of them... And yes, I understand that there is wasteful spending, ON BOTH SIDES (Repubs and Dems, so you Republicans can stop acting like Democrats are the only ones running up the deficit. Because last time I checked, Clinton had record surplus' and a booming economy. Under Bush, a trilion dollars of debt to fund that stupid [expletive]ing war...So lets stop acting like JUST Democrats have wasteful spending and are contributing to the deficit. It has been, and always will be both sides of the gov't at fault. Just need to clear that up.)
