  1. Don't bring it back to Bush. ECN doesn't like him. He realized that he was a failure...thank god for that. Rather, lets focus on how wrong Obama is. Fighting for the middle class and policies that don't favor the rich is what is wrong with our country.
  2. Washington needs to get rid of Arenas....I think he's going to hurt Wall's development. JMO though.
  3. I never said they should bring him back...all I said was he tried to make moves that, during his tenure, would put a winning and exciting team on the floor, even if he knew it wasn't going to ever be championship caliber. That is all.
  4. All of this is just complete and utter lies. Bring out the actual statistics that said it's DOUBLED under him...really, please do. Pretty sure from Nov 08-Mar 09 when his policies were not yet in place was when MOST of the unemployment rose... All you talk about is screwing small businesses, how? What has he done? All I've heard from him is tax cuts for small businesses in the Stimulus package. Can you at least counter with some type of neutral, non-fox news source with how he's screwed small businesses? What exactly has he done? You seriously look like an ignorant Obama-basher when you say these things with little to no facts. There has been no illegal legislation forced down our throats. Do you think we should do nothing about the 40 million uninsured people here? Hell, have you heard RD's story? That should make you in FAVOR of this health care plan. It's a damn shame we've waited this long for it... He never said we'd be out of Afghanistan. If you actually listened, sometimes silence can be your best friend, if you actually took the time to listen during his campaign, he said he supported the war in afghanistan and opposed the war in iraq (and Yes, to me, Obama is a true patriot; he went against the status quo back in the early 2000's and spoke out and voted against the war in Iraq)... So please, check your facts. If you want to have an intelligent political discussion, I'm all for it. But please, lets get some facts in here and actually read/listen to what these politicians say before we slam them. Thank you.
  5. Pretty hilarious, but it could've been even more hilarious...lol. But it did look somewhat realistic. Especially the acting Miami Vice City part.
  6. Look...I do think he's pretty much an idiot, but you have to at least applaud his effort; he was trying to win with the situation he had, he really was...unfortunately, what the Knicks REALLY needed to do was what Walsh did, wait out these horrendous contracts and get cap space. Isiah was just trying to put a winning team on the floor right away for the fans, and you really can't sit here and blame him for that. He obviously made mistakes, and I don't know why he doesn't just go away instead of continuing to open his mouth.
  7. hahahaha. Obama is probably one of the few who actually get it in politics and congress; I think you're the moron. Yeah I'm done in this thread. This is just...lol.
  8. Of hip hop...they absolutely were. I think most are thinking in terms of hip-hop/rap albums of 2010.
  9. I'm pretty confident that, hip hop wise, Kanye's album will be the best. From snippet's I've heard and some of the others on the track list, this album is going to be a classic.
  10. Obama actually has an interest in changing Washington and the way it works; unfortunately there's not enough of Obama's to change the way things work in congress. When are they going to start pursuing agendas that middle class American's care for instead of worrying about the 2012 election? -_-
  11. Politics as usual...Just like all the other people in Washington. Then you wonder why only about 50% of people in this country (who are capable) vote.
  12. haha that's pretty funny. that happens all teh time at the park when your playin pick up games and someone isnt ready for the high five and you just kinda like 'forget about it' type of maneuver and then they see it at the last moment...and yea lol
  13. Didn't see any of it, was out all night. But I checked on my phone and saw the W...was very excited, so I checked the box score and Douglas dropped 30...I was shocked to say the least...he must've actually made some perimeter shots!
  14. That's not at all my point, my point was changing the status quo, and not just on the basis of ideology but also on who's in office. I'd love to see younger politicians win, black, hispanic, white...that's not even the point. My main point was I'd like to see some fresh faces in office, not just your typical 55 year old white male who is dominating the house of rep's (I believe I saw there are 0 blacks in the house of reps, that's just a shame to be honest)
  15. That's why nothing ever gets done. The status quo gets boring in this country. The white old men of this country, that have been historically in power for years...change is nice. That's why it was so great to see a guy like Obama win the Presidency. Would've even liked if Hillary had won too.
  16. I agree completely. Which is why I am not picking a political party when I register to vote. I'm a liberal, but an independent. I don't care for the 55 year old white man on either side with his rhetoric. Almost all of them are full of [expletive]. There just happens to be more of the 55 year old white man on the right. At least the Democratic party has some minorities, women, and fresh faces.
  17. Well, certain policies such as extending unemployment to those out of work (although, admittingly so many cheat this system...) and cutting taxes for the middle class as well as this health care package are obviously policies that support the middle class of America. He will put more legislation through in the next 2 years that continues to help the common man out. Some people are just too [expletive]ing dumb to realize it, unfortunately. All they hear is rhetoric from the right.
  18. You can't recover from a recession like this, something we haven't seen since the GD, in 2 years...and as I said, and go look this up, most of the jobs lost were from the months of nov 08, dec 08, jan 09, feb 09, and mar 09...before he even had a chance to make changes and get legislation into place!... When it comes to the economy, it is obvious that Obama has not succeeded in what he set out to do. That doesn't mean his policies don't favor the middle class; because they clearly do...
  19. His policies clearly favor the middle class. It's quite clear. No, that's not at all fair. You want to blame part of it on Democrats? Sure. Part of it on Obama? Ok, fine. Part of it on Republicans/Bush? Absolutely as well... And if you actually look at it tbf... Most of the job loss happened from Nov 08 to Feb 09...before Obama got into office/really did anything He hasn't done anything unconstitutional (which is largely always such a stupid debate because the constitution is so broad is many aspects) as far as I know. And Democrats absolutely deserve blame for this. As do Republicans. As does Bush. As does Obama. As does, well, he the economy isn't ALWAYS going to be strong in a capitalist society, is it?
  20. I just don't get why someone that makes 60K a year would be a Republican. It just, theoretically makes no sense...their policies clearly favor the rich - it's that simple.
  21. I don't see how we are in a worse position then we were. And besides you and maybe you're right wing friends/family, where do you get the idea that people said no to a more progressive health care system?
  22. LULZ And the youth vote is still, thankfully, liberal. 2/3 of people under 30 voted Democrat and 2/3 over 65 voted Republican. I have faith for 2012 still.
  23. Well I just saw two interviews with Obama and he said that the Health Care bill will reduce the deficit. I guess he's just lying.
