I agree completely. However, Carmelo's defense has been better this season. He's not a great defensive player, but it's gotten better. And in big games when he actually cares, it's definitely good.

That's not true at all man. Stick with talking about the Heat. Carmelo is a good defender when he cares to be. Amar'e, not so much. And Amar'e has been AWFUL with the ball in his hands, whether or not Melo is on the court or not. The whole mantra that they can't play together really humors me.

Yeah it's brutal. Mardy Fish is at the peak of his career and he lost 2nd round, Roddick is virtually finished, and no one else is a serious threat.

Who would coach, though? Woodson? Why would he be some type of upgrade? He's currently on the staff with the other 5 assistant coaches (IDK why they have so many)... But, seriously, who could even replace D'antoni? Phil Jackson ain't interested. So, who else is out there mid-season?

That's also true. The 9ers could've forced the Giants into a long field goal...a 45 yard field goal for Tynes is no "sure" thing. He's missed a lot all season. Allowing them to get into complete chip shot range was just poor on the 9ers part.

Fair enough. Kyle Williams is actually a pretty good returner. A key play that got overlooked was when he had that 40 yard kickoff return. But, yeah, I'm sure it's disappointing to think about that right now.

I understand what you are saying. The turnover was definitely flukey, not something you can count on. But, in no way could the 9ers offense be counted on to actually drive the field. They had two big plays on blown coverage, color me unimpressed with Alex Smith's play tonight. He threw a lot of passes into the ground, especially on roll outs.
