He's better than Douglas. Especially in this offense. Douglas is a solid defensive player (definitely not great, I think he's overrated defensively at tmes) but Douglas is such a streak offensive player and he can't pass either. Barea has proven experience, better offensive player, and definitely fits the Knick system better than TD23 IMO

I think Barea could be an effective starter. Yeah, hes no superstar, definitely not, but on a team with Melo and Stoudemire I think he fits perfect. And who cares if he's starting? He's perfect for 20-25 MPG. You need a guy behind him though.

Agreed. He was doing the chucking on the fast break. He'd pull up from the 3 pt line and miss so many times. He could fit well for the Heat. I'd definietly want him if I were Miami. And Barea would fit perfect for NYK Flash (best realistic option outside of CP3), he's exactly what the Knicks need.

[expletive] Billups anyway. He loved to chuck up shots with his 30 games or so played as a Knick. He'd chuck up such terrible shots and miss 90% of them. So frustrating. Pretty glad he's gone. Gimmie a healthy TD23 and possibly Barea (perfect fit for NYK offense imo)

Ok, first of all, Melo is actually a good passer when he wants to be, I've seen him make a lot of terrific passes. And, Amar'e and him were running the p&r pretty effectively towards the end of the season last year. I see what you're getting at - regardless, we need to upgrade the PG position - I think we all agree. A legit contender? Wouldn't go that far. We are a long ways away. The bench/role players are pretty much a joke. It gives us legitimacy. We could win a round now in the playoffs. We could be a 4 seed. But we're not winning it all with this roster. Must add another scorer in the backcourt, and also must add a PG (on a Felton type level, boy do I wish we had him now lol) If those reports are true (which must be if they are even considering the guy. wasn't he on the pacers in the late 90's? lol)

Yeah Douglas is definitely NOT the answer as a true PG. Good bench player, nice defender, streaky, like his energy, but definitely not a starter on a contending team. Don't see how Jamaal Tinsley upgrades the team tbf. There's a reason he was in the D-League. At this point, we must use our MLE on a PG...

I know it's hard to cope for as a knicks fan but what about a trio of chandler/melo/paul? that is really more balanced imo
