Billups doesn't fit anyway, he never did, let's be honest. We are better off with technically "downgrading on paper" at PG and getting Chandler then we are with not getting Chandler, and going into this season with Billups...

Tell me a PG or SG he could guard effectively and I'll tell you about an awful player who should not be an NBA player!! Lol He's OK. He is very good at drawing charges, I assume he's a good locker room guy (who would know though?), and he does seemingly play hard each night, which I'll give him some credit for.

Cmon, Jeffries is wack. He's not a great defender, he takes an occasional charge. He can't rebound. And may be the worst offensive player in the history of the league (Balkman contends well with him though!)

I just ordered Tebow's book "Through my eyes" should be interesting - has anyone read it? i like tebow but i hope the book isn't TOO much religion-related. i know it'll be touched upon, but i hope that's not the majority of it. also ordered a golf book by john feinstein for my dad's gift...might also read it before christmas. lol

Sry for the double post but I had to say man I miss basketball so much more. In recent years, I def watched as many Knick games as I can. But let's be honest, I was never hyped for the season. It was always the same old Knicks. Now, at least the Knicks will be dramatic and entertaining, even if it doesn't mean winning a championship.

Knicks are a long way from acquiring Paul IMO though. They have no trade package that would intrigue the Hornets unless Shumpert proves something. That would mean a 3rd team would be necessary to acquire him, which is always messy and a headache. Also, the Knicks would definitely have trouble signing CP3 in Free Agency, especially under this new CBA.

Interesting comment by Chad Ford, ESPN: The Knicks want Chris Paul but don't really have the assets to get him. If Shumpert explodes early, they might be able to fashion a package of him, Landry Fields and Chauncey Billups' expiring contract that may intrigue the Hornets. I'd part with that in a second! #WhateverItTakes

that would work for me too. of course i don't want the knicks to sacrifice cap space (gotta find a way to get cp3 next summer) buuutttt we do need a center this season. absolutely need someone who get us 10 boards a get a 1-2bpg. would love tyson chandler but seems unrealistic. oden would be awesome, but way too big of a risk (i've seen the knicks take worse ones though). and nene is prob too expensive as well.
