I know where his weak points are, it isn't hard to figure out I didn't watch the game at all, but the numbers show that he can fill in on occasion and be pretty solid at least at one end of the floor. Those 5 offensive rebounds are looking pretty good, too. It seems like he can be the guy to make hustle plays and do some "dirty work" when needed.

Nice job, DJ. 13 boards and 4 blocks. The Lakers are even deeper at the C position than I thought.

Kobe goin for 101 :glasses:

22 points off of 6-17 shooting. He only had 7 points in the first half, though the Heat were still up double digits. The Heat built an ever larger lead in the 3rd quarter up to about a 24 point margin. The Heat's rhythm started to look a bit shaky towards the end of the game and the Nuggets caught up the score a little closer somewhat like the game against the Wizards, but the Heat still managed to keep themselves outside of a 10 point reach till the buzzer sounded. Wade didn't have a great game for his standards, but the Heat played great physical team defense. Chalmers and O'Neal were big offensively, and Haslem did his thing with another double double. Beasley is still struggling.

Celtics had more games in their winning streak, therefore they win.

Looks like the Heat gave Denver their first loss This is looking like a great start for a fantastic season.

Wade has 7 points, and Melo has 17. Guess who's still winning by double digits? Anyone who says Wade is doing it by himself has not been paying attention to this team. Very sloppy game so far, though, especially in the 2nd quarter. 13 TOs by the Nuggets and 12 by the Heat.

In each of the past 5 games, I've guaranteed a win for the Heat. The only loss was a blown 10 point lead in the 4th quarter against the Suns. This time the Heat are facing a much tougher opponent, and I can only hope the Heat come out on top on this one. The Nuggets are rolling with 5 straight victories to start the season, but the Heat's momentum has slowed down a bit facing the Suns and Wizards. JO and Beasley's production has slowed down considerably since the first two games of the season, and so has the Heat's win margin. Both of them need to step up tonight in order for the Heat to have a chance. I have a feeling that Wright is going to be big coming off the bench. He has always played well against this team, and with this possibly being Cook's last day out from injury, there may be a little extra pressure for Dorell to perform in order to keep a rotation spot. I expect good all around numbers from him. There have actually been some good individual defensive performances from Q-Rich the past couple games against the aging Grant Hill where he held him to 2-11 shooting, and last night where he held Caron to 13 points. Hopefully this trend will continue against Carmelo tonight. Right now the weak points for the Heat defensively have been at the PG and SF spots. They need Chalmers and Q to step up.

The next Steve Irwin.

It's not like Cleveland even lost to a bad team. I'm telling you that the Bulls are good this year, and they will be battling it out throughout the season for one of the top 5 seeds, along with the Raptors who the Cavs also lost to.

I'm in. At this rate, I won't be getting any questions for months

It's about freaking time I know I should be excited, but I think they are entitled to fixing a broken game. I mean, they have a release date, everything should be finished by then. At least they eventually came around to it.. Hopefully there won't be any more bugs to fix after this.

Just that one man's sperm, or sperm in general? -
The refs seemed solid in the game against Phoenix, but a lot of questionable calls tonight... It's fun to watch a guy score a lot of points, but I'd rather not have Wade play an entire half just to make sure the Heat get the win, especially this early in a long 82 game season. The role players need to step up, especially O'Neal and Beasley. They need to bring more energy if the Heat are going to get back to the pace they were in the first 2 games of the season. Also, Dorell has been pretty solid defensively so far for the Heat, but all other aspects of his game have not nearly been as good as I would expect from him. He needs to be more aggressive with the ball in his hands on offense, and he has yet to grab more than 2 rebounds in his limited minutes. He needs to produce a lot more if he expects to keep his playing time when Cook gets back. I know he's capable of becoming a big part of this team. Q-Rich has impressed me the past couple of games. He's done a good job stepping up and hitting on his looks when Wade and JO are getting extra attention. He's also done a tremendous job on the boards, almost getting two double-doubles in a row. At the same time he's been stepping up and guarding the best players on the opposing teams (Nash and Arenas), but by no means has he slowed them down at all.

Wow, really?

Oh [expletive], Shane Battier!? Ron-Ron is going to have his hands full...

The Heat also blew a lead last night. Both teams will be looking to adjust. The Heat are a different team than the Cavs, anyway. At this early point in the season, the Heat have more chemistry. Although the Cavs are more dangerous, I think the Heat will prove to be tougher to beat, at least for now. I am a bit concerned about Jermaine and his broken nose, though. He refuses to wear a mask, and he was much less physical than usual, only grabbing 2 rebounds. Hopefully he'll bounce back tonight, his inside presence is valuable.

Heat should win. The big three: Wade, O'Neal, and Beasley all need a big game tonight.

Remember when Artest said something about locking somebody up?

I use the second guy I had made in the draft combine and he got drafted by the Cavs. My 6'9'' defensive Small Forward played the Summer Circuit for them, got cut, then moved on to the Blazer's camp. I managed to stay on the team without having to go through any D League games. So far my guy is rated about a 60 (80 defense, 48 offense, 50 rebounding I think). I chose the Blazers squad because they need a legit SF, though I probably won't start until I'm about a 70 rating.

LINK This guy is so underrated. His leadership, on-court production statistically or non-statistically, effort, coach-ability, work ethic, selflessness, and willing to truly do whatever it takes to win and being the first guy to "take one for the team"... I'm so glad to have him as a part of the Heat
-
This is why I still think Nash is the best offensive PG in the game. Seriously, how do you guard a guy like this? If you give him single coverage, he'll take you one on one. If you give him double coverage, he'll find the open man. This guy is just incredible. Pheonix's run started with their defensive intensity, and Nash took care of things offensively. The Heat couldn't find a way to adjust defensively, and the Suns took over. The Heat looked terrible on offense throughout the fourth quarter as well. Forcing shots, forcing drives, getting offensive fouls, creating turnovers, not fighting for rebounds, and getting way too 3-happy towards the end of the game. Well, so much for my predicted 5 game winning streak. I hope they can use the negative assets of this game and adjust for tomorrows game against Washington.

DAMN, nice move Arroyo! What a great pick up by the Heat, eh?
