  1. It's not ok because everyone does it, it's ok because IT'S BEEN PROVEN to not be bad for you. Weed does not significantly harm the body at all. It doesn't kill brain cells, it doesn't lead to cancer, it can't kill you. All you'll do is MAYBE cough for a bit and that's it as far as potentially temporary harmful side effects. Your supporting evidence is not helping your case, you have yet to explain to me why weed should continue to be illegal the way it is.
  2. Ok well I'm not really sure why I'm arguing about this haha it's just my opinion. You clearly see this differently, maybe weed has harmed your life in some way and you are just so against it. You know for a fact that a ton of people do it, probably a good portion of your friends. There's no reason to judge them or see them as inferior to you. You aren't near perfect, no one is.
  3. I only do because it involves something that isn't harmful to the user or anyone else around them. The punishment is far too harsh. A fine would be a more suitable punishment. Fine + withdrawal of all weed in the user's current possession, that's how I think it should be.
  4. Celtics vs Bulls. All those overtimes, the epic finishes, the constant close scores... truly the only series that was amazing every second until the end, in my opinion at least.
  5. Actually Daniels was a very decent defender for his position. But you are right about his jumper, which is virtually non existent. He'll help the Twolves out a lot by adding a veteran presence as well as a decent point guard IQ to mentor the younger guards.
  6. If it hadn't been done for other players (as you mentioned in the poll title), I would go ahead and say no. But since 2 players already have their number retired in their leagues, I say yes. One for each sport, why not?
  7. Ok first of all, I don't know who repped that post... And second, you can judge people who smoke all you want. I'm not a pothead, but I do smoke every now and then. But you act like those who do smoke pot regularly are "less" than your current status, like you're better than everyone who does it. If you don't smoke, that's fine. I didn't pick it up until about 2 years ago, and I'm still the same person. It didn't make me any less of an athlete, or hurt my health whatsoever. I will admit some kids do it for the sake of being "cool", but in my case it's just something to do when you're chilling with a bunch of friends with no real plans going on. Nothing wrong there.
  8. Maybe I should submit it to them. Ah well too bad, I guess I'll have to rely on "accidentally" seeing them as I browse topics haha.
  9. Just out of curiosity, are there any IPB applications or settings that would allow a member to see which posts were given a +1? I always wonder which posts of mine were given good rep.
  10. I still remember this day with detail... scariest day I can remember. R.I.P.
  11. I was just throwing in a little something extra to prove my point that people make marijuana seem a LOT worse than it really is to make sure less and less people do it in their lives. And trutrojan, obviously if you didn't enjoy it at all, then you were given the [expletive]tiest weed your school had because maybe your friend considered you a loser and wanted to help you enjoy yourself more. No shame in that, you just haven't enjoyed it to the fullest. It's no surprise that most people don't get high their first, second, or even third time. So if you did it a few more times and finally got truly high, you'd come back here changing your mind. No life threatening side affects, just a little bit of coughing and.... that's it.
  12. That's how I usually feel with treadmills, but the ones at my gym have tv attachments on each of them with a remote and you can watch anything from sports games to cartoons. Makes the running seem a lot easier haha.
  13. Exactly my point. The media tries to confuse its viewers by saying how "dangerous" and "deadly" pot is and how it will end your life. Fact: NO ONE has ever died as a result of marijuana use. Fact: Marijuana is NOT addictive. It is less addictive than caffeine for that matter. Fact: When I was a young kid, around 10 years old, I was told in a presentation that one marijuana joint was equal to the damage of one entire pack of cigarettes. Wow... People who are ignorant enough to sit there and say POT IS FOR DUMBASSES WHO WILL AMOUNT TO NOTHING have obviously never experienced it themselves, either by their own choice of refusal, or because they don't have friends who can hook them up or at least invite them to smoke with them. Trutrojan, explain to me why you think something like tobacco is ok but marijuana is not.
  14. What's not macho about cardio? I lift and run, nothing wrong with a treadmill exercise.
  15. That's not the point he was trying to make at all. I don't care if you learned 2 years ago that a cop doing something bad doesn't make it right. That's obvious, what you're saying is that you whole heartedly agree with the severity of the punishments issued to those found with possession of marijuana.
  16. Obviously someone who is that against marijuana has never tried it before. Do some research, there's nothing bad about it. Yes it's illegal, but the punishment is too harsh. It should be a fine at most, not a suspension and eviction from your college... being banned from campus grounds for months. For what, one joint? They weren't being dumbasses, they were being your typical college students. A large percent of kids have smoked/do smoke weed. Don't act like it's your place to call them idiots because you've never been put in the position to try it.
  17. If you even read more than one sentence in my post, you'd know that's not what I said at all. But while we're on that topic, it's true. Caffeine is worse than weed. Weed hardly damages your system at all, it's only political reasons that weed is illegal in the first place. No one has ever died from weed. Weed does not cause cancer, it does not shorten life expectancy. Tobacco does, too much caffeine can as well. Unless you're going to smoke pounds and pounds of weed all the time everyday, you aren't going to kill any brain cells. There is no reason it should be illegal.
  18. An NBA GM, doesn't matter which team. Even a Cavs GM would be ok with me.
  19. Really old people who look confused when lifting a 2 1/2 pound dumbbell in each hand. As mentioned before, mirror whores. Guys he can't take their eyes off of their own figure on the mirror to see their muscles.
  20. Wow our college is so [expletive]ing strict... My friends who got busted for weed were just told their sentence. They are suspended for a semester, evicted from housing for a year (which is basically suspended for an entire year), and they have to enroll in a drug rehab course to "cure their addiction." WEED IS NOT ADDICTIVE. Studies show that caffeine is even more addictive than weed, and there has never been one reported death caused by marijuana alone. Why isn't it decriminalized? Who [expletive]ing knows.... our whole system is so corrupt. Can't believe this just happened. Now their futures are in jeopardy because of power hungry cops here.
  21. I have kind of a problem with Rose being able to dunk that easily in traffic, especially for someone of his size. Sure he can dunk, but in traffic over power forwards and centers? Come on.... Well I'm sure the game will still be great, it's just the little things like this that 2k didn't pick up on in their last mistake known as 2k9.
  22. Just clear your game save (not the game itself, just the saved data) and you should be able to start the game as if you just downloaded it.
  23. Why all the arguing? This was a good topic even though I've posted the same thing before.
  24. That's decent man, nice job. Remember your draft projection doesn't mean much, so whether you get drafted 10th or 30th in the 2nd round, you still enjoy the game the same way.
