Artest. Simply stated he's better on both sides of the ball, especially post defense. Ariza was getting killed in the post all year. Now Kobe doesn't have to worry about guarding that post in the situations that Ariza couldn't. Ron Ron is salivating to play some D in there.

In the games that McGrady played this past season, Artest was at 13 FG/game. In McGrady's absence, he was at 16.5 FG/game. That's easily attributed to having to pick up the slack.
