  1. Anything for a fellow journalist.
  2. Carlos Boozer. Don't really have a most hated franchise.
  3. lol @ Golden State not even being a choice. If you don't think its them, you must have forgotten the we believe days.
  4. Morrow disappointed me BIG time. Nonetheless, imo he is still the best 3 point shooter in the league. He seemed kind of nervous out there.
  5. He's one of the most unconfident players there is right now. He's scared to shoot because of the chance that he might get fouled. Going to the free throw line for him has been pretty pathetic and embarrassing. He gets nervous and plays with no aggression.
  6. ehh, I would agree. It can go either way, but I expected a lot more from World Peace. Dude has talent, he's just bum. Both of them are. Biedrins is a sad story right now, lol. -_-
  7. Even if DeRozan had made it, do you think the fan voting would help Blake win it anyways? Unless all of Canada votes.
  8. Yeah Shaliq, this season lol. I know dude, Biedrins is terrible now. He's getting paid 10 mil a year to sit on the bench and take a roster spot. Only a few more years left of his contract. -_-

Starting in the league seems ever harder. You have to be the top of top, best of the best. There are 30 teams in the NBA and five starters for each team. That means only 150 people out of the billions of people in the entire world star for a pro NBA team. But out of these 150 players, there are some that make you wonder if they should be in the starting lineup or riding the bench. There are five guys that stand out in each position—either because of the lack of a better player at the position, the coach’s decision or maybe even some flat out luck. Let’s take a look at the starting lineup of the “should not be a starter” team, the only lineup they should be starting in... Point Guard: Derek Fisher Scottie Pippen will go down as being Michael Jordan’s “sidekick”, but at least he was a Hall-of-Famer in his own right. Fisher, on the other hand, will go down as Kobe Bryant’s sidekick, who hit some clutch shots here and there. Fisher has always been a good locker room guy, veteran leader and a guy who can make big-time shots. However, he should not start another game for the rest of his career. He is 37 years old and has a lot of wear and tear on his body. He does not shoot the ball as well as he used to, shooting 36 percent from the field, 26 percent on threes and barely 80 percent on his free throws. He’s never been known as much of a playmaker, but you would still expect more than three assists a game from a guy playing alongside Kobe. Fisher’s defense has also gotten worse and should continue to as the condensed season goes on. Shooting Guard: Wesley Johnson You have Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio and Johnson. What’s wrong with this picture and who does not belong? Wesley Johnson. Being picked fourth in the draft last year, Johnson looked like he would have a solid career after a decent rookie season. Little did we know he would take the sophomore slump to a whole other level. Shooting percentages have dropped heavily for him, and his scoring total has gone from nine a game to nearly six. This is what happens when a player cannot create on his his own and enters the league late. Johnson is already nearly 25 years old and into his second season. The fourth pick of the draft is not looking too well for David Khan right now, especially if he keeps starting. Small Forward: Metta World Peace Although his starts have been inconsistent like his play this year, World Peace, formerly known as Ron Artest, cannot be omitted from this list. Sure he plays some defense, but he is nowhere near the level of back in the day when he would get into his opponents head (or pants, ask Paul Pierce). His shot selection and shooting has been awful: 33 percent from the field, 20 percent from beyond the arc and shooting from the charity stripe like a big man at 51 percent. It’s weird how two of the Lakers’ starters are on this list. Does that mean the 2005-2006 Kobe has to come back? We’ll save that for another article. Power Forward: Boris Diaw As talented as Diaw is, he is unfortunately just as lazy. Not a good look for a player who’s one of the oldest on a young Bobcats team. Diaw settles for long jumpers instead of using post moves to try and draw a foul. He’s also extremely inconsistent. One night he has potential to have a triple double while on other nights he does not even score a point. He chose to put himself on this list. Diaw has the skill to be a very decent player and good leader for Charlotte, but he chooses too often to play half-heartedly, which results in poor performances: not the attitude you want for a starter. Center: Andris Biedrins At one point, Biedrins had potential to become a top center in the Western Conference. Ever since Don Nelson ruined his confidence, Biedrins has not been the same. He is arguably the world's worst free-throw shooter of all-time. He cannot guard any other center in the league without help. He has no more than one post move, and that's his unreliable hook shot. When you have Kwame Brown on the verge of stealing the starting spot from you, that’s when you know you should not be starting on an NBA roster. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1071760-starting-line-up-of-the-nbas-worst-starters
  10. I work at Express and only douchebags shop there. btw which ones? haha
  11. Watching this re-run, and oh God, these Memphis jerseys are disgusting tonight.
  12. That wasn't my point. I meant that people shouldn't be making jokes at his ethnicity and should be careful with their terms, but for sure broo.
  13. It's getting sad how people are putting race into this so much..
  14. http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/images/photos/001/576/571/109302767_crop_650x440.jpg?1329522523 It’s no secret that the NBA Dunk Contest has been a fan favorite of the All-Star Weekend for quite some time. From a Michael Jordan free throw line dunk to a dunk where you have half of Vince Carter’s arm inside of the rim, the competition was at a fierce pace. Key word: was. In modern day time, the dunk contest is looked upon as a joke to most hardcore NBA fanatics and analysts around the world. It seems to be going in that direction and getting worse as the seasons pass. Sure you have guys like Blake Griffin jumping over cars and others like Dwight Howard having a costume show, but the actual dunks just are not there anymore. Even when Howard did do his infamous dunk with the Superman cape on, there were numerous debates on whether or not it was a legitimate dunk. Do you remember people questioning if Vinsanity’s through the legs jam was a dunk? And the only debate during the Jordan and Dominique Wilkins dunk-off was who won? There were no questions of whether or not they were doing actual dunks. You also would not see people pulling out costumes or as many props as they are now, back in the day. But this is not the only gripe with the dunk contest fans are having. One of the main concerns is the lack of big name star players being in it. How many people expected LeBron James to have at least a couple of slam dunk trophies by now? Unfortunately, the king has yet to step on the court during All-Star Saturday night, besides rooting for one of his close pals in the contest. Even when he promised the fans that he would participate a few years back, he found any excuse he could to back out. This year’s dunk contest has arguably one of the lesser known participants of all-time. Paul George, Chase Budinger, Derrick Williams, and Iman Shumpert will be your main attractions on February 25th. The contest basically appeals to the more casual fans now. I can guarantee that they cannot name a team any of these players play for. The NBA already sucked the fun out of the contest for the diehard NBA fans, and now even the casual fans that tune in to watch basketball for just that special night. Don’t get me wrong, though. I’m sure all of these guys are capable dunkers and can possibly put on a good show, but would you rather not see Russell Westbrook or Josh Smith? Oh, and how can you forget the new brilliant idea of picking the winner? Now fans can vote for who wins the dunk contest, but that’s not the best part! Voting starts prior to the final round, so in essence, the more popular player will win. I think it was safe to say that Griffin had that dunk contest locked up last year, even if he had done a lay-up. This is not fair to the player, who is a better dunker. Just how sometimes an undeserving all-star gets the nod to start in the game, now the more popular player will win the dunk contest before the other player even gets a chance to show-case his dunk. However, that should not be a problem in this contest. None of the players are well known. Ratings might fall a tad bit also. The ratings though, won’t take as bad of a hit as the actual dunk contest. Which is now officially the fall of the NBA All-Star Weekend. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1070735-fall-of-the-nba-all-star-weekend-the-dunk-contest
  15. Lmfao, you know the dunk contest is gonna suck when the main attraction is Chase Budinger. Paul George is the sleeper pick, imo. Hope these dudes prove everyone wrong and put on one hell of a show. Doubt it though.
  16. I hope he comes back. I miss the dude. He was a beast in his prime.
  17. http://cdn.bleacherreport.net/images_root/images/photos/001/573/909/138541210_crop_650x440.jpg?1329363946 Unless you have been hiding under a rock for the past few weeks, you must have heard of a dude by the name of Jeremy Lin. Yeah, he sleeps on his brother’s couch. Yeah, he went undrafted and was cut by a couple of below .500 teams. Yeah, he has led the New York Knicks to a seven game winning streak. Lin was not offered to go to Harvard on a basketball scholarship. Although he has game on the court, he also has a 4.2 grade point average, which can make him and Stanford guard Landry Fields the smartest backcourt in the NBA. Enough of the intelligence, though. Lin has true skill. Some call this seven game array a fluke, I call it a taste and preview of what’s to come for the next few years in the league. Lin was cut from the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, two teams that are kicking themselves for making the decision. He was also sent to the D-League by the Knicks, but came back after putting up a triple double in a game. However, Lin was still riding the end of the bench, not knowing whether he would stay with the team. He considered quitting pro basketball for a while, and to train for a chance to be more than the 12th man in the line-up. Lin did get his call, though. During half-time of a game, star player Carmelo Anthony talked to coach Mike D’Antoni and pitched for the young Harvard guard to get more playing time. With D’Antoni listening to Anthony, the Knicks have yet to lose a game with Lin in the starting lineup. What’s more impressive is the numbers that the Asian-American born player has put up. 38 points in one game, 13 assists in another, going toe-to-toe with a guy named Kobe Bryant, and hitting a game winner in another country against the Toronto Raptors. A guy that was being released by sub-par teams is now the current most popular player in the league at the moment. His jersey sales have sky-rocketed, making his jersey the number one most selling for a week. Even his Twitter followers have gone through the roof; he has doubled what he had at the start of the season to now over 300,000 and counting. He has been averaging over 25 points per game, nearly 10 assists, four rebounds, all while shooting 50 percent from the field. It’s a shame that a player such as Lin’s caliber will not be at the All-Star Weekend so far for this season, but who knows what kind of tricks the league has up their sleeve. With trends such as “Lin-sanity," “Lin-tastic," “Linning," and more, it’s got to be a good feeling for the underdog, Lin. Many people are comparing the Lin story to Tim Tebow’s, which is not even close. Tebow went to a big time school and went down as one of the better college players of all time, unlike Lin, who played for a non-basketball school. Lin also went undrafted, while all the hype was around Tebow in the NFL draft. And unlike Tebow, Lin can actually pass the ball. It is hard to say how Lin will play when Carmelo and Amar’e Stoudemire are both in the line-up, but I think it’s safe to say that they have found themselves the point guard that they were looking for. They can forget about the Chris Paul and Deron Williams sweepstakes now. The NBA is now a point guard league, and looks to stay that way for a while. Some call this streak a fluke, well those people will have to get ready to hear more about Linsanity for many more years to come. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1068188-forget-the-doubters-linsanity-is-no-joke
  18. His career has been downhill since that sad showing at the dunk contest.
  19. Smart move by LeBron to actually keep his control and not pull an Artest. After all the mom rumors and new from the past few years, it'd def got to be a red card against him.
  20. He is really living a video game life right now, especially after that game winner last night. Mad props;
  21. ANTHONY MORROW. Bout damn time. He should have been in it the past two seasons. Regardless, I got him winning all the way.
  22. Rumors are that they are trying to get back together, or at least she is. She's so fine though. Hope to see her on basketball wives one day.
  23. A player with his attitude should not be playing in such a small market either. I can see him playing for the Knicks, for some reason. Not many stars would wanna play in this city, especially a basketball player.
