  1. Deng looks like he reverted to old allstar/borderline form. Korver is the light outs shooter off the bench, which Thibs is going to utilize him as Ray Allen, coming off the screens and such. Ronnie Brewer is the slasher and defender. James Johnson - He finally is learning how to put everything together, mentored by the great Scottie Pippen. Omer Asik: He looks great defensively, but he needs to work on his free throws. We can infer it can work similar to the Williams and Boozer duo in Utah. We have Omer Asik and Noah working on Howard... We have to limit him from easy positions and tiring him by running, which the Bulls will do. Howard hasn't proven a jumper yet and Thibs is the guy who is probably the best defensive specialist in the league. He is going to utilize something similar to how he beat Howard when he had Perkins. You can't in a sense stop an elite player, but you can slow them down. That's what Thibs did last season with the Boston Celtics team defense which made LeBron an outside shooter, which he is not the greatest at and Thibs exploited the weaknesses of LeBron, which made LeBron suffer. Bench, I do not know as of yet, we'll see come regular season. Jeff Van Gundy, when Thibs was an assistant under him, "that he has a great offensive mind and it will not be a problem"(paraphrasing).
  2. Rose was a 20 ppg scorer because he was injured last season: .... When playoff time comes, Rose just feasts on people. Ex: When Rose went off against the Cavs averaging 28 & 8 Well, it's just preseason bud. Rose went off against Boston, he has the most points in a rookie debut, 36 points & 11 assists, and 8 boards(? forgot) not even a feat Michael Jordan accomplished nor Rajon Rondo / CP3 / Dwillz.
  3. Joakim Noah has contributed tons to this.... He is the middle man who makes the smart decisions when Rose gets doubled full court or denied the ball when it is an inbound. He always make the smart pass or takes it for himself.
  4. You took the words out of my mouth, I couldn't have said it better lol... I think the Bulls are a lock to make the ECF this year if they: A) Trade for Melo w/ the pieces they have(Deng, Gibson, Brewer, etc... Picks)... Deng is looking really solid this year and he is reverting back to borderline to all-star form. He's finally letting the offense come to him, instead of forcing his shots and going 1 on 1 on offense last year during VDN's tenure.

  7. Can the Chicago Bulls Make The Eastern Conference Finals? Over the past year and a half or so, the Chicago Bulls decided their team that initially surrounded Derrick Rose was good, but not good enough to win a championship and all the major free agent superstars(Bosh, Boozer, LeBron, Wade, Joe Johnson) were all expected free agents this year. They began to reduce their roster by multiple trades, all in the hopes of creating enough cap space in 2010 to lure a superstar. The Tyrus Thomas trade to the Bobcats for Flip Murrray was simply for an expiring, but the Bulls could have used Thomas as an expiring contract by not matching his contract. I think they needed Tyrus Thomas as a backup to Carlos Boozer because Taj Gibson has not played well dating back to the playoffs and previous games before that. Tyrus was perfect for a sixth man role that he had in previous years. The other trade was trading John Salmons for Hakim Warrick and Joe Alexander. This was a good choice because we might have not known if Salmons would have opted out of his contract and inevitably screw the pre-constructed Chicago Bulls plans. Then, the summer came and the Chicago Bulls traded away their 1st round pick(#17) to Washington and traded away beloved Kirk Hinrich for a expiring contract. They had to unload Kirk anyway they could have done. LeBron, Bosh, Wade all pre-planned their destinies and took their talents to South Beach, when the Bulls got Korver, Boozer, Brewer, Watson, Bogans, etc... They completely remodeled this team this year and are looking very good. The question is: Can The Bulls make the Eastern Conference Finals?
  8. What happened to CTS?

  9. ^Rose has a great basketball IQ, it's just that he doesn't try on defense considering the Bulls sucked [expletive] offensively last year and the only one who could score was Rose.
  10. Hopefully, he's impressive on the workout Monday. I want him for a vet minimum though for a year if he will take it because it's the best for us and the best for him because other teams aren't too heavy on Mcgrady anyway.
  11. http://www.realgm.com/images/nba/4.2/wiretap/photos/2006/McGrady_Tracy_nyk_100315.jpg Bulls point guard Derrick Rose believes free-agent swingman Tracy McGrady would be a good fit for the team. "I think that if he comes along he can help our team," Rose said Friday. "A player like him, with his experience and how he plays, I think he'll help us." McGrady's effectiveness will depend on his left knee. He had microfracture surgery about a year and a half ago. "If he just gives us half of what he's got, we'll be all right," Rose said. "He'll definitely help us if he gets on the team. "He was good, and he was my favorite player when I was in sixth or seventh grade and he came into the league. Then in high school, that's when LeBron [James] came, and he was my favorite player then. Now, I'm my own favorite player." Via Chicago Sun-Times

  13. Our offensive deficiency, which we are overcoming. Head Coaching defectiveness.
  14. Another impressive game by the NBA' s top sophomore, Derrick Rose, against the Wizards. Derrick really became aggressive in the second half. Rose could get anywhere & everywhere he desired on the court during the second half and overtimes. Rose finished today with a new career high in shot attempts(33) and scoring(37 points). He just put the Chicago Bulls on his back and led the Bulls to the victory, just like Abraham/Moses saved the Jews from being Egyptian slaves. He finally took Kobe Bryant's advice and it's definitely paying off. It was a good game by the Wizards, but Randy Foye costs them the game. He had so many chances to win, but he would put up a wild shot or turn it over. He wouldn't get the ball to Jamison or Butler who contributed about 59 or something points in total. Foye could have attacked the rim, he has great strength and the Bulls couldn't stop him, but he tries to be a hero. Good game by Luol Deng and Joakim Noah. This was a big win and their fourth consecutive win. Comments?
  15. Do the Chicago Bulls want to risk Tracy Mcgrady's ailments and his injury prone ways? Do the Chicago Bulls want to risk Tracy Mcgrady's lack-of-work ethic to get back into shape? Do the Chicago Bulls want to leave their bench depleted, while it takes a couple weeks just to get Mcgrady back into game shape? Well, it's a win-win situation for the Chicago Bulls. We get Tracy Mcgrady's huge expiring contract, which will allow us to have multiple options during 2010 NBA free agency. While, on the other hand, the Bulls lose a couple good role players such as Brad Miller & John Salmons. They have been playing up-to-par and John is actually hitting his shots now. I am not trying to show any favoritism to John Salmons, I would take Tracy Mcgrady anyday/everday over Johnny Salmons. I am very frustrated with the lack of initive with the Chicago Bulls front office. Me, as a Chicago Bulls fan, would jump to take the Tracy Mcgrady deal. Chicago gets a superstar, in Mcgrady, who can defend, players like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, and is an amazing scorer. Tracy plays like he did with Orlando and his earlier years in Houston, we're a championship contender or a piece from being one. Derrick Rose has been playing more assertive/aggressive currently and that is showing up well for the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls go only as far as Derrick Rose takes them, like I've stated before. If Tracy Mcgrady, plays like the old T-Mac, we can resign and possibly another free agent, it all depends on the cap. Caron Butler to the Chicago Bulls? I don't think it will happen when Luol Deng is playing aggresively and taking up a scoring role for the Chicago Bulls. We don't need another player like Luol Deng(Caron Butler). I don't want to see Kirk Hinrich traded w/o a great player in return or a player who fits our necessites. To the Chicago Bulls front office, don't be retards and screw something up again. Thanks for your reading, 23Bullsaj.
