I'll give you the Mets fan take. I think this trade would be excellent for us we give up 2 decent pitching prospects, our 2nd best SS prospect (we got reyes and flores so we really don't need Tejada. This would keep Halladay away from Philly and adding an ace like Halladay could buy us another month to stay alive while Reyes Delgado and Beltran get healthy. Plus even if we don't make it this year we still have him next year where we would be extremely stacked. Plus who says Halladay even leaves us in FA come 2011. The only reason I see Minaya not pulling the trigger on this deal is the money, we just dont have it. We just spent about 70-80 mil this offseason and its going to be tough to commit another 20+ mill to Halladay. That is the only way I see Minaya declining this deal because we just traded for a young potential corner stone OF. We got Beltran for 3 more years. Parnell is solid but isn't our top reliever prospect and we have Putz and K-rod, and Jon Niese doesn't look like much more than a solid 3 right now. Halladay would be so nice to have . Johan Halladay would be one of the best 1-2 combos ever.

Boston plays in one of the most loaded pitching divisions in baseball with 2 of the best teams in baseball.
