  1. dont know what was going on with kobe today. shot 6-28, kept chucking up shots down the stretch in the fourth when the game was close or tied. he completely killed us today. absolutely no excuses and mike brown should've benched his ass. we couldve very well won the game if we just ran the offense or gotten the ball down low to drew, something, anything other than kobe chucking up shots (terrible looks btw, not even good shots), he completely killed our momentum and any chance we had of winning today. not to mention ANOTHER crucial turnover down the stretch that cost us the game. we've played 6 games so far, he already cost us 2 games by turning the ball over late in the 4th, possibly a 3rd if galinari didn't miss a wide open layup yesterday. dont know what the hell is wrong with him, could be the injury, could be the divorce, but he needs to wake up and start playing smarter. either way theres no excuse for how he played today and how he absolutely refused to pass the ball the anyone, even though it was clear he couldnt hit a shot to save his life.
  2. andrew is a beast, 29 points 12 boards and 2 blocks in his return i still cant believe galinari missed that wide open layup. kind of reminded me of courtney lee's missed layup in the finals a couple years ago haha, man are we lucky. anyways, terrific game by drew. he was basically the only one who showed up today since it seemed like nobody wanted to make any shots for us.
  3. an undergrad degree in bio is pretty much useless as well, unless you want to be a bio teacher or something. id just stick with psych because im pretty sure your upper div classes are going to be easier than those in the sciences (no offense) anyways, i have a friend who wants to be a PT too. hes in the same predicament, you just have to work hard to raise your gpa, also do a lot of volunteer work and gain some experience to look good on your application, because its getting more and more competitive to get into these schools. dont feel bad though, most people i know are just as confused and we're pretty much all [expletive]ed regardless because the job market is horrible
  4. even though we didnt win today i came away very impressed with the team. if drew wasn't suspended and we hit our free throws we would've won. our young guys looked great out there. ebanks definitely impressed me in his first start and glock gave us a spark off the bench with his threes. im glad that mike brown is willing to play rookies and young players, because these two would probably be buried on the bench if phil was still coaching. even with the departure of odom, i like our bench a lot more than last year's, and the biggest thing going in our favor is that we actually have guys who can hit shots now if left open. last year we wouldve seen brick by brick by brick. only disappointment today was pau, he really needs to step up for us this year. oh, and metta world peace, eh.....
  5. Oh God... my worst nightmares have come true. leave it to the eagles to suck the entire year and win out useless games to gain a "respectable" record. i dont like rooting for my team to lose, but honestly, what's the point? i never cared about the draft pick, or wanted to tank for a higher draft position. if we win against the cowboys today and win next week, finishing with an 8-8 record and no playoffs, it basically secures more years for andy reid, and im willing to bet we'll see juan castillo back next yr at d-coordinator since they're such good friends. honestly im sick and tired of this shit and want changes. if they come back next year with the same coaching staff yet again i may just quit watching football until reid is fired. im sick and tired of this, the same results every single season, the same idiot trying to outsmart himself every year and failing every time. dear god what a nightmare this season has been. watch us enter the draft with all our picks and waste it all again on small, speedy defensive players with "heart" only to watch them get dominated in the nfl. im seriously so over this shit and all of reid's crap. same shit every single year for the past decade why should i waste more time on this product.
  6. i loved Weeknd's first album but wasn't feeling the 2nd one at all. but yeah will definitely give this one a listen
  7. is like that 24 units in one quarter/semester? lol damn. nice grades though dude
  8. http://bloguin.com/crossoverchronicles/images/stories/AMINU_GORDON_KAMAN_HORNETS_JERSEYS.jpg this shit funny
  9. Omg not this shit again lakers need to move on. the seasons going to begin soon and we still haven't filled out our roster. if stern wants eric gordon AND a lottery pick, what does mitch think we have to trade that can possibly come close to that? smh
  10. i dont get it. what's the point of having dell demps if david stern is calling call the shots? might as well give stern the title of general manager since he's the one negotiating all the deals.
  11. mitch wouldnt just trade odom away to a division rival for nothing... i wonder what he has up his sleeve.
  12. interesting to see what we do with the trade exception, i think we may be going after dwight anyways, the nba [expletive]ed us over but im not too mad. i didnt like the chris paul trade ever since i heard about his knees, which is similar to brandon roys. if anything this trade rejection will save us in the future.
  13. seems like houston really wants pau... if im LA i just screw the three way deal and trade with houston. we can probably get lowry, scola, and martin back for pau, maybe even have them throw in patterson or lee. pursue dwight howard and deal odom separately for a backup forward or something. i think this is a better scenario than depleting our entire front court for a PG with knee problems. my opinion will probably be in the minority of laker fans though.
  14. billups wants to go to miami i love how the new cba is completely failing. right after it was approved seems like everything they hoped it would stop is happening
  15. his contract doesnt mean anyting, we're over the cap anyways. my guess is we still have some more trades to make. that or we pick up some free agents for cheap. anyways, i put my trust in mitch/buss family after this ordeal. they will know what's good for the team.
  16. ebanks and caracter are no biggie. if this trade goes through though, am i the only one worried about chris paul's knees and how's he going to hold through? especially after brandon roy just retired yesterday? god forbid if we're going to build around cp3 and drew in the next few years.
  17. lakers should only trade pau/odom and nothing more. if that doesnt get it done than cancel the deal and focus exclusively on dwight. as much as i like the idea of chris paul on the lakers, here is why i'm not too fond of paying a steep price for him: http://www.nola.com/hornets/index.ssf/2011/01/hornets_ailing_chris_paul_cont.html i dont want him to come, play out the season, and have us extend him for a max deal and have him turn into a brandon roy. it'll handicap the franchise for years. and there's also no guarantee he even meshes well with kobe or that we'll get dwight howard after.
  18. warriors weren't even putting stephen curry in the trade offer. only monta ellis.
  19. i agree, people are making it out to be the hornets got nothing in return for chris paul. they certainly got their fair share of players. simply put it was absolutely not fair for stern, or anyone for that matter to block the trade after it had happened. everyone knew the lakers were talking with the hornets, why not, as jim buss put it, "take him off the block til July." or, to make matters even simpler, since stern doesnt want his players to dictate where they should play, simply bar the lakers and knicks from even putting up an offer in the first place. you cant allow a trade to be finalized between two teams, agreed by both GMs, and turn around and void it when it doesn't break any of the rules in the cba just because you dont want him to play in LA. me, personally, after the initial excitement, wasn't even too fond of the trade that depleted our front court. nobody knows if chris paul can even co-exist with kobe since both need to dominate the ball, not to mention it made us incredibly thin up front. however, by voiding the deal, you essentially [expletive]ed up the entire season for LA or whatever plans they may have had after the trade. now, we have two disgruntled players coming back after a trade has already been agreed upon. how do you salvage the season at this point? stern basically wasted the entire 2011-2012 season for the lakers. that's the part that angers me the most, not the trade. the entire year is now a waste because of this, it cannot be salvaged at this point. and the lakers management shares none of the blame, they played by the rules. how would they knew the trade would be voided when something like this has never happened in the history of the nba.
  20. well then if that's the case if dwight gets traded to new jersey or new york tomorrow the deal should be voided (or wherever he said he wanted to go) and also chris paul never stated if he was going to sign an extension with the lakers or not, unless i missed it. for all we know he couldve left for new york after this year in free agency.
  21. Paul didnt force his way to the Lakers though... his first choice was and has always been the Knicks...
