he made that line in reference to how you turn chicks into lesbians. by 'our team,' he meant male heterosexuals. -
Mark Jackson was making the case for three Spurs all-stars this year and I have to agree. Parker, Ginobili, and Duncan should all be in the game. considering the team's record and how well those three play together, it should definitely happen imo. I wasn't expecting the Spurs to be anywhere close to this a few months ago. I even suggested they trade Duncan and start rebuilding. I'm glad they kept the team together, though, because these guys could be a huge threat to the Lakers come playoff time. let's hope for the best. :glasses:

Knicks offer for Melo is turned down by Denver
The Truth replied to NomarFachix's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
they're not being selfish - they just want to make the right deal. a lot of you are acting like New York is Denver's sole trade partner. he might not sign an extension anywhere else, but they still have the power to trade him anywhere they choose. I would honestly take Deng, Gibson, and a filler over what was offered by the Knicks here, and I think Chicago would agree to such a deal. Deng has a ridiculous contract, but him and Gibson would be great compliments to Afflalo and Lawson. that's what rebuilding is all about - getting the right pieces. hell, I'd even take a couple of Houston's young big men over that Knicks package. well, they could get an expiring contract and a first round pick from any team, so let's throw that out the window right now. that leaves you with Fields and Chandler. Denver already has Afflalo, so Fields would be redundant and ultimately pointless. Chandler has proven to be a good player, but he's an expiring contract and I highly doubt he sticks with Denver for the long-term. so in the grand scheme of things, you'd be getting Fields and a non-lottery first round pick for Melo. I would have rejected the deal too if I was Denver. -
I'm not saying they're going to put up career numbers, but they could still help the team. getting both for only $7M is a steal. they could both contribute and they're better options than what the Rays already had at those positions. if Tampa can't compete with New York and Boston, they could trade these guys and add even more to their farm system. the plan, though, is for them to help progress the skills of the youngsters and to keep them in contention. I think that's very plausible if everyone stays healthy.

the LakeShow just out-rebounded them like a [expletive]. if you check the stats, all the team totals are pretty much the same except rebounding. the Lakers had twenty more than Denver. there's your difference.
-
moderate risk comes with any signing. these two could mean the difference between making the postseason for the Rays. they're skilled veterans with rings. they could teach the youngsters a great deal about the game while helping to keep the team in contention. I don't get how that only constitutes a moderately high reward; I'm not even entirely sure of what that means lol.

Otis Smith Questions Boston's Toughness
The Truth replied to The Regime's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
lol nice try, Otis. Boston's the most mentally and physically tough team in the league. -

why is there no poll here? lol, anyway, I gotta go with fish. Nitro had some nice rhymes, but it was kinda choppy and I just thought fish laid a better flow. I still love you though, Nitro. 4-3 fish -
good deal for Oakland, but they're still not making the playoffs. Jones should be a great fourth outfielder and part time DH for the pinstripes. yeah, it bothers me when a team makes a big signing and the fans say, 'it's not my money.' you pay to go see the games and the owners use that revenue to buy players, so technically, it is your money. I don't understand this deal at all for the Angels. they're giving up two good players for an overpaid, overrated Wells. not only that, but they already had the youngster Bourjos in CF. why they'd want to stunt his progression for Wells - wow, I just don't understand Anaheim. great signings for Tampa here. they're doing a great job of rebuilding the roster, but still keeping it competitive. if they stay in contention, great. if not, they could trade these guys to contenders at the deadline. either way, they're getting players with championship experience, and at a great price. they should help the offense immensely.

this makes too much sense for both teams. Randolph never plays for the Knicks, but he'd probably start in Indiana. they could eventually have Collison, Hibbert, Randolph, and Paul George. great, young starting lineup (minus the two guard).

Gordon and Griffin were big for the Clips. unfortunately, no one else on the team came to play.

wow, some of you are sounding apocalyptic about this lol. all we need is new members. if we find a way to get new people registering here, our activity will spike for sure. it might be time to invest in advertising. I know you can pay to put ads on mlbtraderumors.com and what not. advertising on some basketball site or radio station or whatever would do wonders.

not anywhere close to as good as Aldridge. not sure if you've seen him play this year, but he's drastically improved his game since last season. he's averaging more points, rebounds, blocks, and steals than he did while shooting better percentages from all over the court. he's basically improved in every aspect. if it wasn't for the freakish seasons Griffin and Love are having, Aldridge would be an all-star this year for sure. he used to just be one of those 'please don't touch me' forwards, but he's bulked up and gotten tougher. he's posting up now and getting gritty down low. I can't think of anything Lee's better at than Aldridge this year besides maybe rebounding. if you look at the stats, you'll see Lee has taken a big step back this year while Aldridge has taken a huge step forward; plus he's almost three years younger than Lee. Aldridge is definitely a future superstar.

well, they don't really want him - they want his contract. I could see a team wanting to get him just so they have extra cap flexibility this summer.

Peja to Mavs, trade Ajinca to Raps
The Truth replied to AboveLegit's topic in Dallas Mavericks Team Forum
he wouldn't have gotten much playing time on those teams. LA has Artest/Barnes and MIA has James/Jones/Miller. now, Boston might have made sense, but I still think Dallas was his best option. they're a title contending team and Peja will probably be a starter there. -

Griffin to always be a Clipper
The Truth replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
yeah, they need him - they need him to leave. he's owed about $30M more after this season. I'm sure the Clips would love to trade him, but the only way that happens is if they take back another ridiculous contract. in that case, they should probably just keep Baron. -
