  1. Josh Beckett pitched like I feared he would, which was terrible. I still hate Jonathan Papelbon, and David Ortiz is useless. YOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. It's a much better park than that stadium that the New York Mets play in from April to October, September.
  3. I think the Boston Red Sox have far superior pitching, and I think that if they stay healthy, their line-up is one of the best in the MLB. I think J.D. Drew and Victor Martinez are gonig to be huge factors this season.
  4. Amare Stoudemire is just a product of Steve Nash......... http://www.joewrite.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/haters-gonna-hate.gif
  5. On my first try, it has the Atlanta Hawks defeating the Dallas Mavericks in the finals.
  6. I really don't see how anybody can hate Kobr Bryant or call him over-rated. I've said it for a long time, Kobe Bryant>>>>>Michael Jordan.
  7. He's always been a beast, and I've been wanting him to own a U.S. sports franchise for a long time now, and it's great to see that he finally has.
  8. Most wins by SP? C.C. Sabathia Best ERA? Jon Lester Most Steals? Jacoby Ellsburyy Most HR's? A-Rod Most RBI's? A-Rod Best hitting avg? Ichiro Suziki --- World Series matchup and winner? Boston Red Sox defeating the Philadelphia Phillie's 4-2.
  9. He might even lose 20 pounds in two days if he does that!!!!! .
  10. Water-weight, or else you are lying because I have a very quick metabolism because I used to be in perfect shape.
  11. That's a complete lie. If you weighed 300 pounds and were very active, and didn't eat anything throughout the week, you wouldn't lose ten pounds, and to say to do it every now and again. . Anyways, it's kind of funny that you made this topic because I decided to go on a diet on January 26th. I'm a sophomore in colllege, and before my Freshman year I probably weighed about 170 pounds, and was in excellent shape, and then college came around and I weighed about 200 pounds(didn't really look fat at all), and had a good amount of fat on my stomach. I used to eat fast food at least 2-3 times a week since college, and when I went to Wendy's or Burger King, I would usually get: Two double cheeseburgers Two, five piece chicken nuggets Large french fry That was just what I had at night for a "meal", and that doesn't include all of the pizza that I eat and straight garbage food. I would also be go to a pizza place in my town where they have "Two large cheese pizza specials", and eat both pizza's in one night. So, to say the least, I wasn't eating healthy at all. . I probably ate worse than anyone you knew. However, since my "diet", I've actually been eating pasta(I know people will say it's not good for a diet), wheat bread, and only drinking water. I pretty much focus on just eating low calorie foods because that is really the best way to lose weight. I now weigh just 175 since January 25th, and I haven't been losing too much recently, but I'm trying to keep it up. Just cutting out the garbage food in your diet can cut out 500+ calories, where as exercising for an hour may only burn 300 calories.
  12. I get your point about the tanning service because I think it is extremely dumb to do, but I don't think that it should be taxed like that, especially when it was hidden in the bill like pretty much everything else. Now, if you are going to mention cigarettes, that's a totally different story. The government should have no right to tell people that they are going to tax them because they want to go tanning, or give a 5% tax on cosmetic surgery. This bill also gives funding to Native American child molesters, which has nothing to do with health-care.
  13. They were saying that on ESPN a few minutes ago, and I bet something like that may happen for one reason: AL DAVIS!
  14. It's not a big deal, but yes you did, and it was during the Michael Jordan debate before the site was hacked I believe when I was comparing the competition that Michael Jordan faced to today's competition, and I never said you would say Karl Malone is better than Tim Duncan, but I know why you referenced him.
  15. You are contradicting yourself about what you said about Karl Malone and how him having no rings made no difference. There's good reasoning for both views about needing a ring or not needing one to define a player's legacy, but it can't keep changing based upon the player.
  16. Also, did you guys know that in this bill there is now a 10% tax for any indoor tanning service? .
  17. This is a quote that I found on a facebook group that I joined, and it sums up everything pretty damn well. "So, they just passed a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he didn't understand it, passed by a Congress that exempts themselves from it, signed by a president who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese......... and better yet it is to be financed by a country that's broke. PRICELESS"!

  19. That was the entire point. Lasik is cheaper because it is not covered by medicare, medicade, ect., all of which are government run programs.
  20. I don't wear much Nike apparel if any, and I don't shop at Walmart, but people that do are smart and are saving money, but I'm not sure what you're point is.
  21. Obviously the insurance companies benefit, but that's capitalism. The costs right now are high mostly because of areas where the government was already involved in health insurance (FDA, medicare, medicaid, HMOs, etc., along with other subsidies and regulations). Look at Lasik eye surgery for example. It isn't covered by insurance or medicare and as a result companies have to compete both in prices and quality in order to gain customers. The result is that lasik surgery has become better and cheaper over time. Prices began at about $2500 per eye over 15 years ago, but as more competitor's entered the market, the procedures improved and prices have been reduced. Most procedures are about 1/4th of that cost now.
  22. No, I am fortunate enough that right now, I don't have to, but in the future, I will try and find a job that offers it, and if I don't get a job that offers that, I will do everything I can to pay for it. Again, the health-care is not the problem, it's the cost, and this bill raises the costs and weakens the care. Also, I've seen you talk about your diabetes a lot and how much it costs you, which is unfortunate because no one wants to have diabetes, but what do you think of the bill taking a lot of money away from medicare because I'm pretty sure I've seen you talk about medicare before? I'm honestly just wondering.
