  1. Here's a great quote. "The problem with Socialism is that, eventually, you run out of OTHER PEOPLE'S money." -Margaret Thatcher Why should the majority of American who have health-care pay for the small minority that don't? It doesn't make sense.
  2. There are a lot of poor people in this country, and as I told you offline, GDP doesn't account for the underground economy and economic bads.
  3. No you are wrong. I listed what the nominal GDP is, not GDP/capita or whatever you are listing.
  4. I don't know how you can say the U.S. is not a "super power" when the countries GDP is $13 trillion+, and Mexico, which is 9th I believe, isn't even a trillion dollars, and the amount our country spent on the stimulus package was worth about as much as Mexico's economy, and they are ninth. The second biggest economy isn't even CLOSE to $13+ trillion.
  5. This bill is bring us towards socialism, and capitalism has worked so well for this country. Never has a system created so much wealth for all and a standard of living the world can only envy. Where else in the world do the poor have cell phones, internet, flat screen tv's, running water, and constant electricity? Look around the world and stop listening to these retards in Washington DC. Other countries with the socialist policeis they're trying to push on us don't even have running water, paved roads, or electricity. And, the countries that do have some of these things are bankrupt and can only dream of being a super power like the US. Truth be told, no system in this worlds history has created so much wealth for all and such a high standard of living as a free market capitalism society has. No system drags people from the bottom of society to a comfortable life like our system here. When people start to realize this is when change will happen. When people realize the real change comes from within, and from the people is when hope will return.
  6. So, you are alright with cuts in medicare? Look, giving everyone health-care in not the problem, it's the astronomical costs that are the problem, and giving people fines for not wanting it is absurd, and the quality of care will only get worse, but this bill will be repealed once the Democrats are voted out of office in November. Also, how does it make any sense to start taxing the living daylights out of people now for a system that won't start for four years?
  7. This picture explains it all. http://royantoun.com/ra/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/healthcare2.png Too bad the Democrats can't obey the U.S. Constitution or else this would have never passed.
  8. People have asked everyone they know, while you just offer money to people that are already members here. May he poop on my knee?
  9. Instead of purchasing internet, cable, and bags of chips, many of these people should buy health insurance. It makes no sense why we have to pay for anyone's health-care. Socialism has arrived, and soon to be communism.
  10. Here's a very true quote from after the vote: "Todays vote will go down in history as the culmination of a year long quest by a partisan majority party to force its will on the public over bipartisan opposition." - Mitch McConnell On another site someone mentioned this and I found it to be very funny: What's most ironic about all this is the people who are pro-choice claim nobody should have control over our bodies are the same people telling us exactly what we should do and force us all to purchase health insurance. Hypocrisy at its best. .
  11. It's pretty damn simple. 1. Get a job that offers health care insurance. 2. Get a 2nd or 3rd job so you can pay for it and get goods that you would like. 3. Go to school and get a degree so you can get a job that offers you health-care. However, doing that would mean you can't be a lazy, which is where the problem lies for many people, but not all. Also, those of you that don't have health-care or support the bill, you know that the bill doesn't only effect those that want health-care? Yes, that's right, it effects EVERYONE, even those that don't support the bill.
  12. It's just stupid. Health-care is a benefit, just like bonuses are at jobs, and maybe getting a higher salary if a company gives you health-care insurance. It's not people's fault that they are successful.
  13. However, even if this bill passes, at least the a lot of the incumbents that voted for it will be voted out in November, so it can be overturned. It's not just health-care, but many Democrats have never heard of personal responsibility, and want to rely on hard working people to pay for their [expletive].
  14. [expletive] YOU BARACK OBAMA! This guy is a piece of [expletive] and is just ruining our country as every day passes. He's trying to kill the private sector. All this bill will do is stagnate the economy, increase unemployment(mainly in the private sector), and create a lower standard of living for people. [expletive]ing morons.
  15. Northern Iowa is just like Western Kentucky from two years ago.
  16. I'm sorry, but that saying got old very quickly.
  17. I am sooooooooooooooo glad that Kansas lost. I'm in a tournament with about 20 people, and almost all of them had Kansas winning it all, and I have Kentucky, and I also had Kansas losing next round. BEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!
  18. He can sing too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1bzgjfmcfg
  19. Well, I took a risk.......and..............had them............going................. All the way to the Championship................
  20. That's where we disagree. I thought Greg Oden could be more than he has shown even when healthy, and the hype that led up to the draft was beyond crazy.
  21. He hasn't played up to expectations even when he has been healthy, and the hype he had was absurd.
  22. Not really, but if you feel like that, it's okay. There were 6-7 plays just in the final ten minutes of the game that screwed Robert Morris over.
