Cliff Lee has pitched extremely well, but I'm not too shocked that he is doing really well. There's something similar with Brady Penny, the 2005 NL All-Star Game starting pitcher, C.C. Sabathia and his 2nd half dimination last season, and Cliff Lee's domination in the 2nd half of this season. It's more reason for me to believe that some pitchers that people believe are "great", aren't as good as they think. Oh, and Jake Peavy as well. I'm sure you can figure out the common trait.

Kyle, as usual, you like to take EVERYTHING out of context to try and make a point that makes no sense. He would not be blocking 250 pound LB's. . And, for whoever said he would have to put on a 100 pounds of muscle, I hope you are joking because Randy Moss, Chris Henry, and other WR's in the NFL are the same size as Usain Bolt. Learning to catch a football with while utilizing a talent that he has been doing his entire life at the same time is a much easier transition than being a golfer, hitting a stationary ball with a quiet crowd, to hitting 90+ MPH pitches, that aren't always in the same location, and don't always move the same way. Again, you were just trying to take it out of context to try and make a point, but it was so far out of context that it made no sense.

I'll take Darren La'ron Mclain if he isn't taken, and if he is taken, give me Darren Sproles.

Megan Wants a Millionaire Murderer?
EastCoastNiner replied to Dr. Feelgood's topic in Movies and Television Forum
Mutilation is absolutely disgusting. This guy is going to have the book thrown at him if he did do all of that [expletive]. -

I'll take Ryan Grant.

New York has strict laws, so it's not surprising. Also, it is somewhat pointless to compare the Donte Stallworth and Michael Vick cases to the Plaxico Burress case because different states have different laws, and sometimes they are VERY different. Having a gun in New York City is different than having a gun in.......Wyoming.

Alright, I'm sure some of you guys have had the same problem, but there are some people on Xbox Live that I can never connect to, and I was wondering if anyone can help me out? I know the usual thing people say is, "Make sure your NAT" is open and all of that, but it is, and I still can't connect to a few people.

Alright, I'm wondering how many other people feel like the NBA get's a bad rap for their players being "thugs" and other things, when it seems like there are a lot more cases of violence involving NFL players, and it seems like those cases don't hurt the perception of the NFL too much. I know that there has been some outrage about Michael Vick, but I think that the outrage about his crimes are barely associated with the NFL, whereas I believe that if it was an NBA player that committed a crime like that, the NBA as a whole would get a bad rap. It seems to me that a lot of people think the players in the NBA are thugs, but people don't really feel like that about the NFL and their players. Do anyone else agree?

Yankees @ Red Sox (8/21-8/23)
EastCoastNiner replied to Teletopez's topic in Baseball Gameday Discussion
I have no clue what is going to happen this series, but the Boston Red Sox are starting to hit. Brad Penny better not suck. -
Jake Peavy may help the Chicago White Sox out, but we will have to wait and see.

I get your point, and I understand where you are coming from, but there is a point in time where people need to realize that the people that own businesses are going to make more than the lower-claess laborers, even though the lower-class people may be doing more physically demanding labor. It's just a chain of command, plain and simple, but I understand your point.

I'm sorry, but Petco Park really helped Jake Peavy's stats out, but we'll see how he does.

I know that studies have shown that Denmark, [expletive]ing Denmark for crying outload is the "happiest" country in the world, but the way they do the studies is plain stupid. Also, I would like to know why so many people WANT to come to the United States? Maybe becuase it is the "land of opportunity", and people can find happiness in this wonderful country. I don't have any numbers in front of me, but I would love to make a bet that a larger percentage of people move from Denmark to the United States than people from the United States moving to Denmark. If people in those "happy" countries are so happy, then they should stay there and no move to the United States, right?

I quit because it was an un-ranked game with 7 minute quarters with no accelerated clock, and I didn't know that before we started. Losing 56-14 didn't help either, but I don't quit ranked matches. It was funny at the end of the game when your brother put the headset on because he's like, "My brother is pissed, he just left the room".

The only thing I am confused about is why they wouldn't include these realistic features in the normal gameplay....

Do you know what percentage the the 5% of highest earners in the United States pay for our taxes? Why should people that are successful have to pay more? It's a stupid lesson to be teaching young children. It's like saying "Don't work hard because if you make a lot of money, you will be punished by the government, but if you don't do jack [expletive], you will be given handouts.

Which young WR will have the better year?
EastCoastNiner replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in NFL Football
I'll take Limus Sweed, but again, watch out for Josh Morgan. -
Kobe Bryant is still the face of the NBA. He's more popular, the better player, and has more class than LeBron James right now. I don't know what else defines being the face of the NBA.....
-
I thought that I would say LeBron James for this poll, but I still think that it's Kobe Bryant. I don't think that since LeBron is in more commercials that he is the face of the NBA because I'm pretty sure that more people know who Kobe Bryant is than LeBron James.

Taylor Swift vs Kelly Clarkson
EastCoastNiner replied to Revis Island's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
And, Taylor Swift is quite possibly the worst popular live performer there is in the music industry, and she really isn't that attractive. -
Well, it depends on what your definition of "monster" numbers are becuase they would be down at least a couple of rankings in the runs scored if they didn't play in Williamsport, so let's just get that straight.
