  1. This poll is relying on a lot of "if's", but if Greg Oden can live up to his hype, than I will take the Portland Trailblazers group without thinking twice.
  2. Well, it's obvious that most people are going to vote for the 2008 draft class. However, I will take the 2007 draft class.
  3. - David Ortiz - Nick Green - Jed Lowrie - Julio Lugo - Jason Varitek - J.D. Drew(I still believe in him) - Junichi Tazawa - John Smoltz - Clay Bucholtz - Brad Penny The 7-9 spots in the line-up are pretty much automatic outs, and David Ortiz is pretty damn bad right now, so the starting line-up isn't nearly as good as people think, and I was one of the people that thought this team would have an awesome line-up. Terry Francona has had to deal with pitching John Smoltz, dealing with injuries to Tim Wakefield(All-Star) and Dice-K(7th best ERA last year), and having to use young pitchers with minimal experience, and the team is still in the playoff race. Obviously, if a team isn't good, the manager won't look good either.
  4. I'm pretty sure that one of the Philadelphia Easgle's playoff threads ended up in a battle.
  5. Pretty much every post you make about the Phoenix Suns is either sucking Steve Nash's dick or bashing Amare Stoudemire.
  6. You're right, Steve Nash did, but good try trying to get me to say Amare Stoudemire led the team.
  7. I'm still having trouble figuring out how Pau Gasol led the Memphis Grizzlies to the playoffs...... Yes, he may have been their best player, but scoring less than 20.0 ppg is hardly "leading" a young and TALENTED team to the playoffs.
  8. Which conference do you think is better?
  9. If you are talking about Victor Martinez, then that's not really true. David Ortiz has been sucking all season, and Victor Martinez hasn't really replaced David Ortiz. Terry Francona has also managed the young pitchers on the Boston Red Sox as well, which is not an easy task at all. However, there are legitimate cases for other GM's, but there aren't many.
  10. Well, you guys can say I'm being a "homer" if you want, but I'll take Terry Francona. He's been the manager for two World Series Championships, and has managed this team wonderfully. How many managers in the MLB can find a way to keep their players happy when they may have to sit out some games because of trades, and how many managers can manage a line-up like he does when a team has injuries? Having a [expletive]ty David Ortiz, and being able to manage the team like he has with a very popular player struggling like David Ortiz, there are very few, if any managers that can manage that situation as well as he has. Not to mention he has had to deal with injuries to Dice-K and Tim Wakefield for a long time, and has had to shuffle the line-up a decent amount because of injuries to J.D. Drew and Mike Lowell.
  11. I agree with what you've said, but I think that having an explosive WR that can change the game in a matter of seconds on his own, has a little more value than an offensive line-man the majority of the time, but there are certainly times that I would take an offensive-lineman over a WR.
  12. The New York Jets have a very good offensive-line, even without people ranking them high.
  13. Actually, I think ESPN ranked the New York Jets extremely high in the offensive-line rankings.
  14. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/nfcnorth?archiveId=13&start=16 Damn, I hope he can come back to the NFL, and I think a team will take a chance on him. I feel bad that all of the drugs started because he broke his collarbone twice, but I admire that he owned up to his mistakes.
  15. I agree with the choice of Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol, but I question your ranking of Pau Gasol, although I don't necessarily disagree. PF's: Tim Duncan Kevin Garnett Dirk Nowitzki Amare Stoudemire Which two do you remove?
  16. What about Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups?
  17. It's so dumb. I honestly do not understand why ESPN makes this story such a big deal. I'm pretty sure that Tom Brady's return this season, and Michael Vick's return to the NFL this season are just as important, if not bigger than Brett Farve going to the Minnesota Vikings to turn the ball over and take carries away from Adrian Peterson.
  18. I noticed that too. And, who the hell reacts like that?
  19. No, he's correct. He was saying that if there is a team that goes 0-16, you're pretty much screwed unless you pick them at the end of the season because any game you choose them, they are going to lose.
  20. We'll see, but he's playing very well for me so far. The only people I will definately not trade anyone are Patrick Willis, Vernon Davis, and Josh Morgan.
  21. I'm not complaining becuase I lost becuase I have complained about it when I've won, but other people that I have played have said the exact same thing. The kicking is a lot different, and that is one of the only things that is frustrating now. It doesn't register a lot of the time. Not to mention that on another forum that has a lot of the best Madden players, a lot of them hate it too, and want it to be changed, so it's not just me.
  22. It is such a great idea to pay a player 10-12 mil when they are going to throw 20+ INT's......
  23. I hate how I can outplay someone the entire [expletive]ing game, and still lose. I have a 14-0 lead at the end of the 1st half, and "Fish" had about 50 total yards, and since the kicking in this game is terrible, I kicked the ball off up the sideline, and he returned it like I expected. Then, I have a simple FG to get a 10 point lead with 10 minutes left in the game, and I miss it. The kicking meter in this game sucks.
