  1. It's not cheating to lift weights though. I get your point that the players from the previous era's may not have had the same technology as the players today, so today's players have an advantage, which is legal, but that's just tough luck for the previous era's. Like it said in the article, did Mike Schmidt, Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and players from older era's have an advantage because they didn't have to play against as many, if any, Dominican, Cuban, Venezuelan, and other ethnic players, when many of those countries have players from there that are the best in the MLB today?
  2. I absolutely hate that argument as I think it is absolutely ridiculous. Lifting isn't injecting drugs into your body to give you an advantage on top of lifting weights which is natural. Mike Schmidt is saying this because he is a self-admitted juicer himself.
  3. Oh, gee, Kyle, ESPN says that the Boston Red Sox weren't intentionally throwing at Miguel Carbrera either game, but the Detroit Tigers were throwing at him both nights. That must be the truth right? .
  4. Allen Iverson should be higher on the list......... You are insane to think that he should be lower. He was much better than Reggie Miller, much better.
  5. They would probably still be very good hitters, but they would not have near the same HR's and power that they have had throughout their career. There is a reason that they are banned, and it's because they give you a distinct advantage. Barry Bonds would not have nearly the same amount of HR's and Walks that he had during his career if he didn't "allegedly"(Jim Rome's favorite line. .) take steroids.
  6. Nate Clements and the secondary are going to shut down your WR's, and Patrick Willis and Manny Lawson will lead this defense. Vernon Davis and Frank Gore will make you cry.
  7. He'll be a really good player, and I'm sure he earned a lot of respect from his teammates last night.
  8. Joba Chamberlain is a [expletive]. At least when other pitchers throw at batters they throw at their torso, not their head like Joba Chamberlain has done repeatedly. The only player on the New York Yankees in the past few season that I think would give Kevin Youkilis a good fight would be Kyle Farnsworth, but I could care less about that.
  9. I know Victor Martinez was thrown at intentionally, but even if it wasn't intentional for Kevin Youkilis, you have to expect him to be mad because he would think it was intentional, but whatever.
  10. I would switch the New York Yankees and and L.A. Dodgers, and also switch the Boston Red Sox and the L.A. Angels.
  11. Brady Penny pitched the night before, and there was reataliation. And, the pitch that hit Junichi Tazawa would not have hit Migeul Carbera is he didn't try and swing, so it wasn't THAT close to him. Do you really expect a kid that let up the game winning runs in extra innings to the New York Yankees, than makes his first MLB start at Fenway Park to hit Miguel Carbrera with a BLAZING 90mph fastball with two strikes already?
  12. I would post it, but I can't upload it or anything for some reason. I can't even take screen-shots right now. So, how exactly would I know what he is wearing if I didn't have the picture, but back on topic.
  13. That was CLEAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYY not intentional. Junichi Tazawa is making his first MLB start, has two striked on Migeul Carbrera after a touhj first inning, and it was not even at him, Miguel Cabrera's hands moved towards the ball, which still counts as a hit batter, but it was without a doubt unintenional. However, Rick Porcello didn't do his job the inning before, and needed to show his teammates he has their back, and hit Kevin Youkilis. The pitch wasn't even close to the strike zone.
  14. No, not at all, and I'm on another forum with an abundance of Boston Red Sox haters and New York Yankees fans, and they completely disagree with you. At first, it may not have looked intentional, but I do think it was intentional after watching the replays and thinking about it. Rick Porcello didn't do his job and hit Victor Martinez the inning before, so he hit Kevin Youkilis, and he was surprised that Kevin Youkilis charged the mound, which is why he had that reaction you moron. Also, Kevin Youkilis didn't get rocked, he didn't even try and throw Rick Porcello down if you actually watch the replay where Rick Porcello was the one who tried to throw down Kevin Youkilis, and did, although that should be expected when you are 6'5. Are you going to try and tell me that Joba Chamberlain doesn't try and throw at Kevin Youkilis? .
  15. It took me a few glances at the teams at first to realize it, but you can figure it out.
  16. The Tampa Bay Rays get a lot of bang for their buck.
  17. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/150541/PayrollEwpct.gif It's interesting. Money doesn't necessarily buy a World Series title, but it definitely helps if a team spends wisely.
  18. If you throw at someone, then you need to stand up for what you did, it's as simple as that. And, if I were 6'5 like Rick Porcello, I wouldn't be a [expletive] and look like I [expletive] my pants after intentionally hitting someone, and back away. And, I don't see how people think Kevin Youkilis got owned when he wasn't even trying take slam Rick Porcello to the ground.
  19. I'm not the only one that knows what happened. If you have been watching ESPN or anything, they said the same thing that he was running away. - Throws at Kevin Youkilis. - Kevin Youkilis charges the mound with his helmet which was dumb. - Kevin Youkilis throws his helmet. - After the helmet is thrown, Rick Porcello still has his hands up like a fairy, and keeps backing up. - Kevin Youkilis and Rick Porcello go to the ground. There is no black and white here.
  20. Did you even see the replay? He put his arms up like he was scared for his life, than started backing up.......it's pretty simple.
  21. I normally don't like reading articles by Bill Simmons because I find them to be too long, but he always makes some good points, and puts things in perspective. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/090811&sportCat=mlb How is using steroids or any PED different than stealing signs, corking bats, ect.?
  22. Kevin Youkilis was mad that Manny Ramirez didn't stick upfor a teammate, and Manny Ramirez got into an altercation with the teams travel agent.
  23. Nope, this is me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UerAttYQyNo
