Doc Rivers was in a very similar situation after Shaq left in Orlando, and his career has turned out pretty well. This is actually a pretty good situation for JV.

Fantastic decision IMO. I really think he's going to become a great coach. Pop and Duncan compliment his coaching all the time. He's one of those guys that you just knew was going to make a better coach than actual player.

He should be given the death penalty. The shitty thing about the death penalty is that he will end up sitting in solitary confinement for 30+ years before anything happens. I worked in the prison system for 4 years but this dude won't have any human contact aside from the guards. He will spend 23 hours a day in his cell, and the other hour he will have recreation by himself. In most prisons though he will be able to buy a Xbox 360/ PS3, TV, radio, and $100 dollars worth of food a week. Our prison system is a joke, taxpayers pay for criminals like this guy to play video games all day.

Dream Team would completely own the glass against 2012. With Malone, Barkley, Ewing, Robinson, Pippen, and Bird 2nd chance points would be very hard to come by. I think you have to take into consideration that the roster of 2012 has never gone up against elite interior defense. On offense the front court of the dream team would also destroy.. Chandler?

Now I'm not a Mavs fan by any means, it's just a shame that these last few years of Dirk are being wasted. Mavs fans know that "down years" are coming, but while Dirk is on the team they want to be title contenders. I feel the same way about the Spurs. Dark days loom over the Spurs once Duncan and Manu retire. San Antonio aren't really legit threats to win the title, but I'd still rather them be a one and done team, As opposed to watching Duncan and Manu play for a lottery team.

No he disappeared during the OKC series, the previous two rounds he was fantastic. If Daquean Cook can get 3.75 a year from the Thunder, 4 a year is pretty reasonable
