No, but it gets tiring when you're always joking. Its not like I've got a stick up my ass here, or over reacting, I'm just tired of it.

Artest throws Ariza's shoe.
GamerGuy replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Haha, with all the bodies in there on that play I didn't even catch that. Surprised he didn't get called a technical or a delay of game on that. -
A joke, or baiting? Maybe a bit of both? I gave the Rockets credit, the least you can do is not act like the king of the dicks.
-
He only had one air ball, and even that one looked like the defender might have gotten a piece of it to affect the shot.

Hope you're having fun being banned. I'm sure it was worth it, right? Anyways, a couple of things. The seats we had were AMAZING. You could see the entire court unobstructed, and we weren't super high up like I thought we would be. Staples Center is an amazing venue, we had our own waitress for our section, and you could have food brought to you. The actual seats themselves were incredibly comfortable...all in all, the experience of being there was amazing. Definitely need to do this again. The entire arena gave Ariza a standing ovation when he received his ring. That was awesome. As for the game, well, there's a lot of things that went wrong for us. First off, we didn't rebound the ball...and that really killed it for us. Odom was getting beat on the glass by Landry, Anderson, Scola, it was embarrassing. We had no second chance opportunities, and we could hardly keep the Rockets bigs from crashing the glass. Our defense was lackluster as well. We had stretches where we would play good defense, but it was inconsistent. Ron did a great job out there, but he was the exception. We often didn't rotate in time, and that lead to an open Rocket 3-pointer. Aaron Brooks is friggin' fast. He was losing Fisher so much it was disheartening, the guy has amazing quickness. Speaking of Fisher...I love the guy, but man, he looked old out there. Couldn't keep up with Brooks, (who can, really?) wasn't hitting shots. Just didn't have a good game. Farmar and Vujacic are trash. Phil seriously needs to cut down their minutes. Shannon Brown is awesome, played good defense, hit his shots, didn't take stupid shots, played with great energy. We need to seriously just give him all of Farmar and Sasha's minutes. Hell, I wouldn't be opposed to him starting. This guy is a keeper. Kobe struggled, and it was bad. I don't know if that groin injury was hurting, but he just didn't play well. The Rockets did a good job of doubling him, forcing him into some early turnovers. He looked frustrated out there most of the night. Bynum is all-star material. The Lakers should of gone to him much more in the second half, he was playing well. Bynum, Artest, and Shannon were the only Lakers who played well tonight. Everybody else just didn't play well at all. Had an awesome time, just disappointed with the outcome.

It's about damn time you signed up.

Maybe I was thinking of another team...haha, that will happen when you read so many gameday threads.

I thought he looked pretty good when he played against us, but that's a tough break. Hopefully he won't be out for too long, the Mavs will definitely need him if they plan on going deep into the playoffs.

Denver did a good job of executing their game plan. The Lakers did not, and it really showed. Terrible execution in the second half, especially in that third quarter. The Lakers coaching staff is going to have a field day in film session tomorrow.

Got them for free, one of the upper level managers at my dad's work gave them to him. After the terrible beating we got tonight in Denver, I don't think we'll be showing any lackluster effort for this game.

Found out where we'll be sitting. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y120/Koyote/lakerseats.png The tickets came with an expensive parking pass too, so we get to park in the garage right next to Staples, as opposed to another lot a couple blocks away. Booyah.

Seattle or Vancouver need an NBA team
GamerGuy replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in General NBA Discussion
Las Vegas would probably get a team before Seattle did. They really blew it with the Sonics. -
I was going to make a similar point, actually. I'm not sure what LeBron's true intentions are with changing his number, whether they are just for a change of pace, or place, but if LeBron feels that he should change his number out of respect for Jordan, well then more power to him. I don't think people should make this such a huge deal, after all it is just a number. Kobe had his reasons for changing his number, I'm sure LeBron has his as well.

I'm sure we'll be there plenty early. It's a two and a half hour drive to L.A from my house, and that's with absolutely no traffic. I wonder what kind of seats they are....guess I'll find out when my dad shows me the tickets.
-
So I get a call today from my dad, and he asked me who the Lakers were playing on Sunday. I found this to be kind of odd, but I checked and told him it was the Rockets. A few minutes later I get a call from my mom, and she was like "Did your dad tell you?" and I was like "Tell me what?" Apparently, his boss gave him four free tickets to the game on Sunday. I'm going to this game! I've only been to a Laker game one other time, and that was a preseason game in Bakersfield a couple of years ago, when Bynum was a rookie. This will be my first time going an actual game that counts, and its against the Rockets no less. I think Ariza will be getting his ring too, since its the first time the Rockets are visiting the Lakers. Friggin' stoked!!

Shannon Brown needs to be in the dunk contest this year.
-
It would be almost like a tag team. Almost. Might get myself a mug whenever I can scrounge up some cash.
-
How pimp would the thong be if Aaron was on it instead?
-
Nah, its more north, the Antelope Valley.

The Suns bench is doing a really great job of coming in and keeping the pressure on the Hornets. Is it just me, or is Dragic like Steve Nash's clone? It looks like Dragic is modeling his game a lot after Nash.

The article you quoted was written back in April of this year. The article I posted was posted on the 6th of this month. As far as air quality rankings go, yes L.A is up near the top. But as far as total pollution itself is concerned, L.A is not the most polluted city in the US. Oh, and where I live out in the high desert...the air quality out here is among the best you can find. Many people with breathing problems move out here for relief.
-
Oh by the way, Philadelphia is worse than L.A pollution wise. http://agentgenius.com/real-estate-news-events/the-top-ten-most-polluted-cities-in-the-united-states/
-
Not quite. http://sayiamgreen.com/blog/2009/09/the-10-most-polluted-cities-in-the-world/ The gangs are a problem, but honestly there are always some sort of gang in every city. South Central Los Angeles is where its most rampant, but the city has its pretty side too. As for the original question, I've never been to New York, so I can't comment on that, but I'd go with Los Angeles. At least in L.A you can drive your own car, and its hard to beat the weather and the beaches.
