  1. I was semi-watching this game on TV, while fully watching the Heat/Blazers game on my computer, but it seemed like I saw the same things every time I would take a glance at the TV: -Amare missing shot...after shot...after shot. -Bynum abusing Amare down low. -Kobe missing shot...after shot...after shot. -Artest's usual suckage. -Someone getting into it, whether it be with an opposing player or ref. Overall, from the little I saw of it and what the box scores says, it was a helluva ugly game.
  2. LMAO is anyone watching the Portland broadcast? After LeBron hit that dagger 3 and taunted the crowd, the announcer goes, "No wonder why people like him so much!" LeBron was a killer in the last few minutes of the 4th and OT. For one of the first times all season, he looked like the absolutely dominant LeBron we've seen the last 2 years. He was unbelievable (as was Wade). On the Blazers side, Aldridge was terrific. He's been on fire the last few weeks, and he continued it tonight by playing some tough basketball. He was scrapping for rebounds, killing Bosh in the post, and making some great passes out of double teams. Mills was really, really good in the 4th, and Batum was solid all night. Overall, a very noble effort by the Blazers, and if they had a healthy Roy they would have probably won this game. Oh, and one more thing... Dear Spo and Poe, TONIGHT IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY JOEL ANTHONY IS A SITUATIONAL PLAYER AND NOTHING MORE!!!! I get it...he hustles his [expletive] off and does a few good things on defense. But, he's a MIDGET WHO CAN'T REBOUND!!! Tonight the Heat were getting crushed on the offensive boards, and instead of giving the team's best rebounder, Erick Dampier, EVEN A SECOND OF PLAYING TIME, Spo gave Joel by far the most minutes of any Heat Center. That is unacceptable. Joel is fine against teams like the Knicks, Suns and Warriors, but against teams with BIG MEN that can REBOUND, anything postive he offers with his sharp rotations is completely negated by how badly he gets absued around the rim. GIVE DAMPIER MINUTES. Sincerely, Nitro
  3. WOW...if this is true, then they deserve for Melo to leave with nothing. They are literally getting the very best deal anyone is going to offer them, and if they keep stalling and the Nets drop out of the race, they are going to be left with very little.
  4. ...which I acknowledged. Let me rephrase: In neither game did the Bulls have both Boozer and Noah.
  5. SOURCE I'm sure that's unrelated to anything, but I'm sure some will take it as some sign of the apocalypse.
  6. Yep. It'll also do wonders for her post-mortum career of having her head be a bowling ball...she's only got two holes to go!!! I'm going to hell... <_<
  7. Just so everyone is aware, I'm calling dibs on Cleveland's Finest's tears when the Cavs end up with the worst record in the league, proceed to fail to get the first pick in the lottery, and LeBron wins a championship. It may happen this year, or it may happen some other time in the next 5 years, but when it happens I want to collect his tears in a pimp cup and mix it with my vodka....mmm it's gonna taste SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good!!!!!!!!!
  8. I kinda doubt it since he shot a US Representative in the head, and killed a 9 year old and federal judge. They will do everything in their power to get this crazy bastard the lethal injection.
  9. Well, to be fair, the Bulls didn't have either Boozer or Noah in both of those games. I do agree, though, that the Knicks do match up well with the Bulls. As I said in my first post, they definitely would have a shot against them in the first round.
  10. Worst owner in team sports. I thought it was horrible that he was heckling Davis earlier this season (even if he deserves it), but that is just plain wrong. It's a shame because even though the Clippers are a piss-poor franchise, they currently have some amazing young talent, are in one of the nation's top markets, and amazingly do still have some passionate fans. They are FINALLY in a position to really compete for the next 5-10 years, and I'd hate to see them blow it because their owner is a douche.
  11. Knicks are a good team, but there are a few major concerns going forward: 1) They desperately need another big man that can defend and rebound. The Celtics have Shaq, Perkins, JO, KG, and Big Baby. The Magic have Dwight. The Heat have Bosh, Z, Dampier, Haslem and Anthony. The Bulls have Noah, Boozer, Gibson and Thomas. All the Knicks currently have is Amare and Turiaf; one being a questionable defender and decent rebounder, and the other being a hustle guy that is a decent defender but a poor rebounder. Neither have prototypical size or strength to match up against those other teams. In the post-season, when things slow down, being at a size disadvantage is a major problem. 2) Depth. The Knicks have been running a 7-9 man rotation the entire year, and in their high-paced system, that can really wear down a team. The Knicks bench is pretty horrible, so if they want to continue winning games, D'Antoni will need to keep that same rotation. However, as the days and weeks go by, and as the Knicks' schedule begins to get more difficult, I really wonder if they won't start to slow down because of how thin their bench is. 3) Can Amare, Felton, Chandler and Fields maintain or improve on their level of play that they've been at the first 35 games? Those first 3 players are having career years, and Fields is a rookie who has surpassed all expectations. It is very, very possible they can keep it up, but it is unlikely that any combination of those players won't go into a slump at some point. And if one or multiple of those players are slumping, can the Knicks keep winning games? Overall, I really like this Knicks team. They are a helluva fun to watch and play hard, which is really all you could ask for as a fan. I think they are at the very worst a top 6 team in the East, with Miami, Boston, Orlando, Chicago and maybe Atlanta being ahead of them. At best, they are a top 4 team, as Atlanta is always a major question mark in the post-season, and so far this season it appears NY has Chicago's number which could carry over into the post-season. But if they ever want to crack the top 3, they will need an elite perimeter scorer (whether it be Melo or a guy like CP3 who can take over games with his scoring), and more depth in the frontcourt.
  12. It's fake. Some dude on RealGM re-watched the broadcast, including that exact screenshot, and confirmed it to be fake. Still, that's awesome.
  13. Keep laughing. If you assume that Melo will risk heading into FA with the new CBA looming just to play across the river, then you are sadly, sadly mistaken. A trade WILL happen. Whether it be to the Nets, the Knicks if they sweeten up their offer, or to a dark horse candidate, this deal will happen before the deadline.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZchBNLRfuU I heard this a few months ago but stumbled upon it again and thought I'd post. Anyone who questioned me putting Canibus in the top 10 all-time rapper group needs to listen to this. You can argue his discography isn't that strong, but his talent and skill level is jaw-dropping. This probably isn't an off-the-dome freestyle, but it's still pretty crazy nontheless.
  15. Yep. If he don't, nothing he ever says should be taken seriously again (haha...like he ever was taken seriously in the first place ).
  16. Lol well those are a mixture of what I think is the "best" along with what are my favorites.
  17. So, what are your 5 favorite rap verses of all-time? Below are my favorite, in no particular order. I made sure to include 5 different artists to give a little variety: AZ in "Life's a [expletive]": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCnqDvvZrcM Lyrics: Nas' 2nd verse in "NY State of Mind": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UKjj4hk0pV4 Lyrics: Mos Def in "Thieves in the Night": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NBuGv3289A Lyrics: Big L's 1st verse in "7-minute freestyle w/ Jay-Z": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9dN3aS2Rxfs Lyrics: Eminem's 1st verse in "Renegade": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhgyJpqwbKY Lyrics:
  18. That's a really, really tough loss for the Lakers, especially with Artest's suckage and the trade of Sasha. I really, really think the Lakers should make a trade for a SF, whether it be a major trade which would land them a new starter, or something like trading a pick to get a guy like T-Mac.
  19. Tell us how you like the Pru. I loved it when I went there for the Heat game, HUGE upgrade over the Izod Center.
  20. Kickers who kick the opening kickoff out of bounds give me a bigger headache than Gabrielle Giffords has right now.
  21. Bingo. Teams that have no legitimate 2nd option are doomed in the post-season. The Cavs needed a player besides LeBron who could create their own offense and play with a Gasol-like impact, and they simply didn't have that.
  22. Be careful bro, that's all I'mma suggest But I will say that as long as you're staying in and around downtown, you probably won't have too much trouble. There's a lot more cops over there, streets are very well lit, and generally it's not nearly as bad as the outskirts of downtown are.
