  1. read my last post man. I said something about time ending with the Mayans, I know they're not predicting the end of the world.
  2. To the italicized text - if scientists found ANYTHING wrong with their theory of gravity, they would change it. If you think a 21 year old college student with no degree in science knows more than the guys in lab coats physically testing out their findings, then maybe you should contact a local university near you! However, this is obviously not true. You stopped reading when the material became unfamiliar. I'm not insulting your intelligence when i say this, but maybe the reason you don't understand "basic" concepts is because their full definition requires higher levels of thinking. I don't understand the string theory either, like I said this isn't meant to insult you. Your next paragraph though makes me laugh.. but do you believe ancient civilizations like the Mayans are right about time ending in 2012?
  3. But its a lot easier to read the bible than this hard sciency stuff can't we just say God did it? It's a lot easier that way...
  4. Read the site iMan linked you to.. the information is there, you're just choosing to be ignorant if you don't educate yourself on the topic you seem to care so much about.
  5. lmao gravity isn't something you can just produce. Don't ask me if I understand your questions that don't even make sense.
  6. The origin of gravity starts when two large masses come close enough that their gravitational fields interact with one another I've reworded that sentence many times trying to explain that it doesn't just "come" from something. Reread iMan's quote on what a scientific law is.
  7. I understand your thinking, but I believe it's a natural phenomenon, who's origin doesn't necessarily translate to the certainty of a creator.
  8. It's not something that was "made" but a universal law. Gravity is a physical force that's a result of astronomically sized objects' interactions with each other. It's not something that's made, it's something that happens.
  9. It's a physical law that has always and should always remain constant. If you truly want to know these answers you should research it yourselves, A professor will be able to explain it better than a sophomore who's minoring in it can explain it.
  10. So what was there before god? If time is on an infinite scale, there had to have been something before god?
  11. Back to the topic, here's a tweet confirming that police have cleared his apartment of all hazards
  12. tMy argument for that is the "theory" of the big bang is just as accurate as the "theory" of gravity is for how the universe started. Theory being as accurate as we know based on the findings of scientists of many fields. If there were any problems with the theory that we know of today, we would change it. If something comes up in 100 years that changes the way scientists believe the universe started, then it would change. My personal belief is I'm going to trust the guys studying their respective fields for 40 hours a week, using the most up to date scientific devices that we have, to come up with an idea for how the universe started than a book of tales that seem unrealistic (talking snake, talking bush, talking donkey) and laughable to me during today's standard of how creationists believe the universe came to be. Your opinion might be different, but I still respect it.
  13. I was arguing because these fools think this girl deserved to die, and had nothing she could've done to avoid death. The topic just came up why you mad brah?
  14. I'm not going to lie, both of my astronomy textbooks could answer these questions, but they're both in Tucson and I don't know this off the top of my head. I know google could tell you the answers though. Gravity is proven on many levels.. Einstein's theory of relativity, Isaac's laws, and Newton's laws all prove this. If there was anything wrong with any of these theories, they wouldn't exist. If they were wrong, and proven to be wrong, they would change the theory. I don't think many people understand this fact. If something can be proven wrong, which is the main thing, then it wouldn't be a theory any more. All 3 of those basic and fundamental haven't been proven wrong. I find it hard to believe you're questioning gravity when you can personally go test it out.
  15. So one theory is an indisputable fact, but another theory is horseshit, wrong, written by dumbasses who have never solved anything, are the common moron with just a degree and making money for it, right? I've wasted enough time with both of these threads. I respect your opinion at the end of the day, but your comprehension skills need tweaking. EDIT: To recap, you believe scientists are completely wrong with everything regarding their discoveries, except when they cure diseases. You don't believe math applies to your day to day life because you're too blind to see it. You believe in one theory thats 400 years old, but not a theory written by the greatest genius the earth has ever seen.
  16. Respond to the quote, not the author. EDIT: And the monkey thing wasn't about you, just creationists in general.
  17. Like I said earlier, go test out the "theory" of gravity. Gravity is just a theory. What don't you understand about that?
  18. What a perfect quote by the brillion Mr. Hawking http://i.imgur.com/HQ8AS.jpg
  19. Actually that's not what I said at all, not even close. You've proven you can't understand of how math even applies to your daily life, so I'm not even going to begin trying to teach a monkey how to drive stick shift when he can't even open a banana
  20. Energy - http://www.qrg.northwestern.edu/projects/vss/docs/thermal/3-where-does-energy-come-from-and-go.html Gravity - http://www.universetoday.com/75705/where-does-gravity-come-from/ But you're going to try to tell me Northwestern and Einstein are wrong, right? I said I couldn't answer the questions, and there's nothing wrong with not knowing. But not knowing, and pretending to know is ignorance. I found the answers to both of your questions with the first result of a google search. There are your answers. Do you not see that the common ancestor between microbiology and astronomy are both science?
  21. SCIENCE found the cures to those diseases. http://i.imgur.com/ekrSq.png
  22. I'll tell you how probability applies to this exact situation, but you just wouldn't understand it because it's probably too advanced for you. http://i.imgur.com/ekrSq.png
  23. Weird how these 'dumbasses' are able to save millions of lives from finding vaccines for small pox, polio, hepatitis, and thousands of other diseases. What idiots.
