  1. Ignorance truly is bliss. If you find it easier and less work to learn about everything about the world using one 2000 year old book, that's your choice man.
  2. I'm not saying you don't believe in gravity, my point was more toward whether you believe it or not, science accurately describes how we live our day to day lives. Just because I, as a 19 year old, can't explain how energy and gravity came to be, doesn't mean scientists can't. If you truly want to know the answers, a simple google search will explain it way better than I can.
  3. Educate yourself about mathematical probability.
  4. 1. Gravity is just a theory. However, if you don't think gravity is real, go walk off a 10 story building. Whethr you believe in gravity or not, it still affects you. I don't know where gravity comes from, but it's certainly there, and PROVABLE. 2. Space dust comes from the remains of dying stars. 3. I'm not sure where energy comes from, I haven't learned that yet. And to respond to your next part, like I said gravity is just a hypothesis. But if you don't believe it, go test it out.
  5. I'm not saying all coincidences are from random chance. But Hawks fly high says all coincidences happen for a reason.
  6. Actually it's there because of evolution.
  7. Well, A. that didn't happen so B. we won't talk about it. This is someone's life we're talking about not a fictional movie.
  8. And why do coincidences have to have a meaning?
  9. You're seeming to hint like his lady was "supposed" to die, in a sense. She escaped the Toronto shooting, but you're saying it was "in her books to die." When in reality, it's just a coincidence that she happened to be in both places.
  10. Except there's no such thing as destiny, only irony.
  11. The 'world' started from the solar nebulary hypothesis. Basically, the Sun and planets were nothing more than a giant cloud of dust. Due to gravity, eventually the dust started forming closer to the middle, where the "sun" is supposed to be born. The dust gathers mostly in the middle, but also where the planets are. Eventually the dust turns into planetismals, or tiny planets. These collide into other planetismals, eventually forming the shape of the planets. Meanwhile, when enough energy is formed in the middle, where the sun is, the sun will 'explode,' or be born, and when the star is born, the energy it sends out whipes out any remaining dust, leaving just planets all spinning in the same direction.
  12. if you can't explain your stance in your own thread, you shouldn't have even started it.

  14. He should be put to death, but its inhumane to torture anyone in any situation. Two wrongs dont make a right
  15. Terribly sad, luckily I didn't know anyone affected by the shooting.
  16. I'm good man, I actually woke up to a few texts from my buddies in AZ asking if I was dead or not haha. Thank you for your concern. It's crazy though, the shooter smuggled 3 guns in, and was getting his PHD in neuroscience of all things. Very sad though.
  17. Speak of the devil (no pun intended)... New Planet Found, Smaller Than Earth, Orbiting Distant Star http://news.yahoo.com/planet-found-smaller-earth-orbiting-distant-star-203543868--abc-news-tech.html
  18. You misinterpreted my entire message. Actually, it's closer to reading LeBron's biography, translating it to Arabic, and having everyone read it as "Kobe Bryant wins his first NFL Super Bowl ring" Also, it's impossible to have a discussion about an afterlife without bringing religion into it.
  19. Where am I pushing beliefs down someones throat? I've said multiple times throughout this thread how I respect other's opinions, and how they brought up good points in their posts. There's nothing wrong with having a discussion about a controversial topic in a mature way, if anything maybe this post should've been to the person condemning people to hell for all eternity. If your faith can move mountains, it should be able to withstand criticism. EDIT: I'm not directing this toward you, but the reason religion is such a controversial topic is because people get butthurt about what other people think. A world without religion or borders would be an ideal world to live in.
  20. The age of science is a mere millisecond on the timescale of the existence of humans. Everyday science changes, and that's the beauty of it. I'm not saying "This is how it was, how it is, and how it will be." I hope science prove me wrong, because if it does it just means we as a species become more educated. In the 13.72 billion years of this Universe's existence, it took humans 13.719999999999 billion years to figure out how to even travel among our own planet. Given an infinite amount of time, science will eventually prove everything. What's wrong with this? You mean we as humans would have to admit we were wrong? Who gives a shit! The fact that a 2000 year old lie is still believed today is puzzling to me. What's wrong with rewriting theories? There's absolutely nothing wrong with being wrong, only ignorant. I can't prove there isn't a god just as much as you can't prove I'm not typing this while riding my unicorn.
  21. Do members of the KKK get into heaven? It was built on a "religious foundation" in Christianity. They show their hate everyday, and have a history of killing thousands. But, as long as they accept Jesus, they get into heaven, right?
  22. You've done 3/7 of the deadly sins... ever jerked off? 4. ever not finish your plate? 5. In God's eyes, youre a lying thief who takes food from the hungry and has broken 5/7 deadly sins. I'd love to hear your case of why you should get into heaven.
  23. What happens if none of your friends, and none of your family enter into heaven? Everyone you've ever known and loved is suffering in a pit of doom for the rest of eternity. Do you find happiness in this?
  24. A fact is something that's indisputable, meaning there's only one answer, one truth. If the bible has multiple interpretations, then it isn't fact, it's disputable, and therefore the bible is not a fact.
  25. Respect this... one of my biggest peeves is how some Christians will thank god if a doctor saves a patient, but blames the doctor if the patient dies. I'm glad you're not like that haha
