The production was similar, but the difference is that Nash already had the tools to engineer a D'Antoni offense — he was doing something similar in Dallas. Calderon could ideally condition himself to be a more aggressive and instinctive playmaker that kind of system needs, but he's shown no indication, from what we've seen, that he is capable of running it.

The problem with calling it a wash is that Lou doesn't have much value himself either. I am indeed a fan of Jack (love his defense), but it's just not enough to convince me that a trade in where Thad gets swapped is worth it. And yes that's a valid statement. In fact, I very much prefer Jack to Lou. Agreed.

A healthy Ginobili can score at a comparable rate to Crawford but without the high volume shooting and streakiness. But Ginobili is never healthy.

With the schedule, going 1-4 is not out of the question, but if they break even it's a win IMO. The offensive line gave a pretty bad impression last season, but I trust that it will be much improved this year with the interior healthy and no more first-year starters.

The turnovers are also a potential red flag, but high usage and playing out of position will result in turnovers in any level of basketball.
