  1. Ellis is a two, Evans is still a wild card, Brooks was Houston's only creator, and Billups' numbers are inflated. I think you're underrating Harris right now. This is a guy that was just last season averaging 21 PPG, and he would've averaged well over that if he didn't keep getting sidelined by injuries. One injury-riddled, nightmare season later and everyone forgets about him.
  2. Would you rather settle for the booby prize (albeit a good one) or take your chances in a lottery with the odds in your favor?
  3. The production was similar, but the difference is that Nash already had the tools to engineer a D'Antoni offense — he was doing something similar in Dallas. Calderon could ideally condition himself to be a more aggressive and instinctive playmaker that kind of system needs, but he's shown no indication, from what we've seen, that he is capable of running it.
  4. I don't think top 3 is a stretch at all.
  5. Smith is nearly a foot taller. If we're choosing between essentially the same players, give me the bigger one.
  6. Must be the source of his corniness.
  7. Eh, D'Antoni needs a confident, creative playmaker that will push the ball and take risks. I think Calderon, though solid and efficient, would be ill-suited for such an open, fast-paced offense. He's too conservative.
  8. Some of Davis' finishes made me do a double take. Remarkable game from him.
  9. Yeah, but in the States we don't have Canadians.
  10. Welcome to the present, where AI has fallen from grace and isn't on any NBA team.
  11. It still boggles my mind how much burn this guy gets. And Mike, you were so excited you had to make two topics. Didn't know you liked Barea that much.
  12. The problem with calling it a wash is that Lou doesn't have much value himself either. I am indeed a fan of Jack (love his defense), but it's just not enough to convince me that a trade in where Thad gets swapped is worth it. And yes that's a valid statement. In fact, I very much prefer Jack to Lou. Agreed.
  13. Would there be anyone worthwhile at thirteen? Both players are expendable, but not for throwaways. Not Thad at least.
  14. A healthy Ginobili can score at a comparable rate to Crawford but without the high volume shooting and streakiness. But Ginobili is never healthy.
  15. With the schedule, going 1-4 is not out of the question, but if they break even it's a win IMO. The offensive line gave a pretty bad impression last season, but I trust that it will be much improved this year with the interior healthy and no more first-year starters.
  16. Didn't get to watch until late in the fourth. Can anyone summarize the game for me?
  17. Chill, I (somewhat irrationally) dislike everything about the Lakers, not just that.
  18. Thorough analysis, Blasco. I have to come up with another way to give feedback. I have a general question though: why didn't Bass play more? Perhaps I didn't pay enough attention to Orlando during the year, but I remember him being one of the most coveted bigs, and he hardly played in either the regular or postseason.
  19. The shaky jump shot is a valid point, but remember that Roy's jumper and his range was not that far off from Turner's when he was drafted. The turnovers are also a potential red flag, but high usage and playing out of position will result in turnovers in any level of basketball. The comparison is an evaluation of talent and the projection of peak... of course they're not going to be virtually identical players to begin with.
  20. I see Turner as a franchise guy. That kind of value overrides everything.
  21. Not bad. It's not nearly as heavy, but I love my .22 Ruger Target for its accuracy.
