  1. These last-second losses for New Jersey are phenomenal. We've got to start making a checklist until they win one. It's just funny at this point.
  2. Lou and Speights should just save us the trouble and stand out of the way on defense. Same result with no fouls.
  3. This has always been Eddie Jordan's problem. He forces players into roles instead of adapting his scheme to comply with the strengths and non-strengths of the personnel. Still, it's not like he has much to work with here.
  4. It took seven years for MJ to be inaugurated into the Hall.
  5. I think Don Nelson decides his rotation for every game by randomly picking out of a hat. There is no other plausible explanation.
  6. Not quite. The jury is still out on Eddie Jordan, but that hiring is (probably) Stefanski's only significant slip-up.
  7. Oh [expletive] [expletive] [expletive]ing [expletive] [expletive] a [expletive] [expletive] damn [expletive] [expletive] no.
  8. What a boring game. This feels like the WNFL.
  9. '01 - 5th '02 - 2nd '03 - 4th '04 - 4th '05 - 10th '06 - 21st '07 - 29th '08 - 23rd '09 - 23rd Now - Last Oh Iverson.
  10. Sweet! Squeaked out a win with the aid of a questionable call against a depleted basketball team. 4-4!
  11. The fact that Oher now plays right tackle kind of dilutes the effect of the title.
  12. If Iverson really wants to play his own way, why doesn't he go overseas? He can put on a show for Europe's uncorrupted fans who are so accustomed to fundamental basketball. Add excitement to your basketball!
  13. It's working, but how slow is Orton's release? He throws like he's in an action movie.
  14. Kris Brown can split the uprights on a 56-yarder, but he misses from 41. No W for Houston, but what a second half performance.
  15. I hope Terrance Williams was on birth control.
  16. Come on. It's been six games, and Wade's universally accepted position in the top three is already being challenged? Carmelo's assembling quite the season, but let's see him maintain this pace for 76 more games and not unravel in the postseason for a change. /no homer
  17. He's not ready to start. Besides, it's four games in. Relax.
  18. He's crafty enough to gain separation consistently one-on-one, but it's improbable that he maintains that efficiency. No one could. Good thing basketball isn't played one-on-one.
  19. Of course you would because you're taking him out of his element and forcing him to operate with a hindrance. That goes for every player. The numbers might take a dive, but their ability doesn't. Nash's numbers took a dive in '04 because of the Walker and Jamison acquisition. It had nothing to do with Nowitzki's scoring output. Stoudemire missed all of '06, when Nash averaged a career high in points. In the 26 games Nash played without Amar'e last season, Nash averaged 19 points. So there goes that theory. There's a difference. A product of an offense would be Marion, who isn't a quality contributor on offense without a high-paced offense and a playmaking point like Nash, whereas Nash just thrives in that type of offense. That playmaking ability, court vision, shooting prowess, and bad defense is still all him.
  20. Remove any cogs from an offense, introduce a hindrance and the numbers will inevitably dip. It doesn't diminish a player's ability. You can't accurately evaluate any players by nitpicking.
  21. What? No... but how is any of that relevant? You said Nash is a product of the offense.
  22. Um, screens are a fundamental aspect of every offense. Your other points might be valid, but that's absolutely ridiculous.
