  1. Brand has looked horrible in my opinion...he has absolutely no explosiveness. Iguodala has looked pretty good to me, his jumper is getting there and I also like his passing. He said a lot of the turnovers in the preseason games were something that Jason Kidd taught him to do, pass it even when a teammate is not there to show them where they should be.
  2. In my opinion, Andre Iguodala should be higher, easily in front of Battier and maybe a little higher than that. Although no non-Sixers fan will agree with me, Iguodala will prove he is a top 15 player in the NBA this season.
  3. I think Flynn will reconsider and be quite fine with Rubio not joining the T-Wolves since it leaves Flynn more time on the court and with a perfect opportunity to even make a run at Rookie of the Year.
  4. I agree what you are saying about college guys...I am a big Syracuse fan so I supported Carmelo in the playoffs, and I like to see Warrick play well in Memphis as well. I will also support Jonny Flynn. But not when they are going up against the Sixers.
  5. I found it from the affiliation with RST. There were a good amount of Sixers fan here so I decided to stay and post a little bit.
  6. I voted no, I like OTR the way it is.

  8. I don't think the Sixers should give up on him that fast. Cheeks used him in completely the wrong way and then he was injured the rest of the year. I am thinking of this season as his first season with the Sixers, give him some time to build some chemistry with his teammates and for Eddie Jordan to figure out what the best way to implement him in the offense.
  9. I never said that. But that is a different story, Young averaged 14 points per game and 6 boards while Jrue Holiday only put up like 8 points per game.
  10. Josh Heytvelt - Gonzaga Paul Harris - Syracuse Dionte Christmas - Temple Jerel McNeal - Marquette Chris Johnson - LSU Courtney Fells - NC State Tyrese Rice - Boston College Leo Lyons - Missouri Jeff Adrien - Connecticut Curtis Jerrells - Baylor Eric Devendorf - Syracuse Shawn Taggart - Memphis Jeremy Pargo - Gonzaga Ben Woodside - North Dakota State A.J. Abrams - Texas Josh Shipp - UCLA Alex Ruoff - West Virginia Paul Harris and Eric Devendorf should have stayed at Syracuse, don't know what either of them were thinking entering the draft. Devendorf already has something lined up in Europe but I don't know what Paul Harris' plans are. I am pretty happy that Dionte Christmas will be joining the Sixers for the summer league. It also looks like Woodside will be joining the T-Wolves' summer league roster.
  11. Only team I really like is the Sixers. I like the Nuggets because of Carmelo Anthony, and now the T-Wolves because of Jonny Flynn.
  12. Bosh isn't a center, but I would still rather have him starting at Center than any of the alternatives; Dalembert, Perkins, Brand, and Lopez. Yes, I would have Iguodala starting over Ray Allen. Why do you have clutch play in mind when it comes down to determining a starting lineup, I didn't say this would be lineup in the last thirty seconds when I am down one. Also, you act like Iguodala is a complete choker at the end of games, he hit a game winner this year.
  13. PG - Rajon Rondo l Devin Harris SG - Andre Iguodala l Ray Allen SF - Paul Pierce l Thaddeus Young l Wilson Chandler PF - Kevin Garnett l David Lee l Elton Brand C - Chris Bosh l Brook Lopez Really tough point guards, basically the Celtics inserted with some youth at SG and a better C with Chris Bosh over Perkins.
  14. I have to go with Rajon Rondo here. I think Harris is probably a better scorer than Rondo, but Rondo is the better distributer, and a better defender than Devin Harris.
  15. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/60123/20090627/sources_sterling_nixed_randolph_swap_with_griz/ This was an incredibly stupid decision by Sterling. He wonders why the Clippers never win. He doesn't let his team win, he hires a new GM but he doesn't even let him make deals to help his team.
  16. That's great for him, I remember him when he put up 61 points that one game in college.
  17. Love the jersey, not the player. I don't care who the Sixers have on their team, I would still be a fan.
  18. I loved watching Christmas play back at Temple, and I was pretty surprised he went undrafted. I thought he would have gone at the end of the second. But I am happy he is now on your summer league roster, good pickup and I really hope he has success and makes the team.
  19. When the Sixers first made this pick, I wasn't really sold on him that much. I am not really big on drafting guys just based on their potential, over guys like Lawson or Maynor who proved that they had the skills in college and could come in and contribute right away in the NBA. I never really got to watch Jrue play much in college, but I knew that he was highly touted recruit coming into UCLA and really didn't put up that impressive numbers while he was there. But after looking it over and thinking about it a little more, I like the pick for the Sixers and I think Jrue will have a good future in the NBA. One reason he didn't have the best numbers at UCLA was because instead of like Tyreke Evans, who went to a school in dire need of a point guard; UCLA already had an established point in Darren Collison and Holiday was forced to play out of position. Russell Westbrook is another example of a guy at UCLA who had to play out of position because of Collison, and I would say he has fared pretty well in the NBA. Holiday was expected to go a lot higher in the draft, but tweaked his shoulder and caused him to fall right into the Sixers' lap. A few reasons why he is a better pick than Maynor or Lawson. He has better upside, he is three years younger than both, still raw and coachable after playing just one year in college. He has the long wingspan that Jay Bilas is obsessed with; 6'7" compared with 6'0" for Lawson and 6'2" for Maynor. He is also a really good defender, which the Sixers needed giving up two of their best bench defenders already this offseason. He also spells the name Drew in the most badass way possible.
