  1. v2 http://i55.tinypic.com/30m74ox.png Messed with saturation.
  2. The thing is though, guard is more of a developmental position, which is why you won't see as many guards going early as you do tackles. Most of the starting guards around the league were drafted in the third round or later. So, being that he's 26, it does make sense to be a bit wary. That being said, I've never seen him play, so I don't know how far developed he actually is.
  3. It's actually an awesome stock with an exploding light bulb. The sig just looks so different without it (it adds more than just that). Should I desaturate it?
  4. http://i51.tinypic.com/vq1b41.png Meh. CnC please.
  5. The render effects are bawse, and the background is really good too. Not a fan of the text, though.
  6. In the media, the only team to not really dabble into the theoretic ****storm is Buffalo, so at least in that sense, I guess that you can call all of the teams a 'joke'. But when it comes to the on-field product, that can't be true. The Patriots are elite, the Jets are up-and-comers, as are the Dolphins, and even Buffalo has some talent. I'd be afraid of the AFC East if my favorite team were in another division.
  7. I just think that an elite RB can have an impact than an elite WR, since a WR is more dependent on his QB than a back is on his blockers (in my opinion), so I went with RB.
  8. I LOVED that the Jets got Wilkerson. That was a big one to me. I didn't really like the pick of Ellis though. And the Jets waited too long to address the WR position. If Edwards and Holmes both leave when/if free agency starts, the Jets are gonna be screwed. I also didn't understand the Jets picking a running back in the middle rounds. All things told, I give the Jets' draft a C+, but that's sort of inflated by Wilkerson.
  9. I just feel his talk brings too much attention to the team, and that the offense isn't good enough to shoulder that. But, this was supposed to be a great running game, but it became stagnant as the season wore on. Rex/Schottenheimer gave up on the run game too early.
  10. I'm starting to get the feel that he isn't the right guy for a head coaching position. That offense has struggled under his entire tenure, and many of the decisions, such as playcalls and timeout usage, have been shoddy. Great coordinator? Without a doubt? Great head coach? Still up in the air.
  11. He's also a rookie. Give him his time and let him mature into a system. As for Newton, he's dead to me, because he won in the NCAA's monopoly scheme. I doubt the Panthers take Newton 1st overall; if they will pick a QB, it'll be Mallett or Gabbert shooting up the board, a la Sam Bradford. While I hate Newton, I do recognize that he's a good quarterback, but Gabbert and Mallett are better conventional passers, and I'm sure that that's what Carolina will be looking for, since their running game is already terrific (I think Mike Goodson can fill the void that would be left if DeAngelo leave's via free agency).
  12. Glad the pride of Poland is getting his opportunities and delivering!
  13. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't freaking believe it!!! No more small deals baby, we're going for it all! Back down to earth, the rotation is looking good. Greinke and Gallardo is one of the top 5 1-2 punches in the MLB, and Marcum is pretty good, but it'll stand to be seen how he'll do in Miller. Hopefully Wolf can fix himself, and I'm hoping Narveson/Parra can be passable at the back end. Hopefully Prince can pick it up after a slowish year last year. If Braun can get back up to 30 HR production, you have to like the Brewers' chances. But look at the NL central. Just when the Pirates finally start spending a bit, the Reds emerged, and the Cubs and Brewers make moves to solidify their teams. Pair in that the Cards are already pretty good and it could be a crazy ride in the NL central.
  14. It is perfectly legal. The side snap is allowed, as is talking to the coaches and such during the play. It's called the 'wrong ball' play, and one that is employed pretty often by Pop Warner teams with unsportsmanlike coaches.
  15. Considering that the NFL has proven time and time again that they protect their most popular and marketable pieces, I think it's justified to believe that there is a motive behind this move. Oh, and the roof collapsing was just luck on the NFL's part, so their move didn't look like Favre protection.
  16. I think that the fact that Favre may not play was a big factor in the NFL pushing the game back.
  17. I really don't think it's fair whatsoever that Dez Bryant lies about having dinner with a person and gets suspended for 8 games, and other players are being reprimanded for hiring agents and accepting money (because God forbid the National Collegiate Athletes Monopoly, errm, Association, dares to allow the very chess pieces of their monopoly to make money of their own) and yet the same happens to Cam Newton (yes it was his dad, but still, same deal) and he doesn't get punished whatsoever. So basically, you can be as controversial as you want in the NCAM, as long as you're one of their most talented and marketable players. It's ludicrous.
  18. He's a talented young linebacker. Hopefully he can get on track and realize his full potential. Another big name Florida product from the most recent draft to get in some trouble, after Dunlap. Is Haden next?
  19. Nets coming back in this one. Interesting third quarter.
  20. That was a good play by Harris. I hope he's okay.
  21. Is Kerry Collins playing? I think Britt is questionable, but if he and Collins play, the Titans could have a chance. I think that Peyton comes out and plays well and leads the Colts to an easy win. It'd be interesting to discuss Peyton, though. What if he goes out there and throws 3 or 4 picks again? How long before he starts being more judicious with the ball? Will he go out there and wind up completing 35 passes, but for only 180 yards? It'll be fun to see over the next couple of weeks.
  22. I think that limiting it to quarterbacks isn't enough. Vick is a great runner, and his arm strength is great, but he really isn't super accurate, but his receivers are spectacular. Throw in LeSean McCoy and the Eagles' offense is terrific. However, with Brady, it's a whole lot different. While Green-Ellis and Woodhead are decent runners, neither of them can be counted on to run 20 times a game. Thus, Brady throws a lot, and defenses know it's coming, and yet he still shreds them. That being said, the Patriots have a whole lot of good receivers, to the point where it's tough to cover everyone. Tack on their speed and the receivers get a whole lot of yards after the catch. So really, it's not enough to ask which quarterback is more of a threat. I guess Vick is, but Brady is still the better quarterback.
  23. Gonna watch this one. First time I'm watching NBA basketball since late November of last season. Go Nets!
  24. It really isn't too outlandish. The big thing about the NFL's cracking down on the big hits is knowing who the 'repeat offenders' are. If a guy has built a name for himself as a punisher who has been penalized multiple times for hits that are too much, they are more likely to get penalized for those 'middle ground' sort of hits.
