Dude what was the name of it? SportsCenter? You recruited me when you were Peyton329847239847124 and I was on this site ran by Picture Me Rolling and Amber (they ended up getting married in real life haha). I only joined your site because you had a Redskins sig.
-
Not necessarily you, since you were just doing your job. I was referring to the members. But you did call him out, lol.

I came home around 1am last night and two cops pulled my buddy over for speeding and the cops told us to get out of the car and they wanted to search the car. So one of them asked me if I had anything else in my pocket, and of course that prompted me to reach in to check. He thought I was getting a weapon out so he shoved me on the back of his car and tied my hands behind my back while the other guy searched me and my shaft (which he touched probably three of four times, and not gonna lie, it tickled). My eyes were red so he asked if I was high and I said "nah man haha" so he sniffed me like a damn dog. That's pretty much it. Thought it was worth sharing.

So last night, I got lots of PMs, comments, Facebook IMs (thank goodness I didn't go on AIM) from you guys asking if I'm back for real or what. In almost every topic I posted in I got some sort of nice comment regarding me posting here again. I guess you guys really missed me <3. But listen up, everyone. I'm moving back to Hungary in three days and I wont have any sort of Internet access there for a very long time. When I do find Internet somewhere, it will be slow, and I probably wont get on OTR. Not gonna lie, I'm a little emotional just writing this because I love you guys. Imagine how I feel leaving my true friends and my girlfriend who I've been dating for two years. The reason I posted so much (well, not that much) last night was to get it all out of me one last time. And I didn't reply you guys saying "yeah, I'm back" or "no I'm leaving soon" because I wanted to make a topic for it. But in all seriousness, guess who's back, back again? Bean Burrito's back, tell a friend. So let's party, and party, and party, and party... To those of you who are a little slow, I was just joshin' ya'll about going to Hungary and stuff.

I know right? I developed that mentality for the Redskins too. And yeah I said the Wizards would be a top 3 team in the East ^_^

Magic: LeBron followed Kobe/KG trends
Wall2Wall replied to MiamiThrice's topic in General NBA Discussion
haha I didn't want to repeat myself from what I said earlier (I said legacy), so I went with the word "career" instead. -
This really is the most pessimistic you've ever been, lol. He blocks shots like he's playing NBA Street Vol. 2! Yeah he goaltends, but that's just him being 22 years old.

Magic: LeBron followed Kobe/KG trends

Can't disagree with you there. I guess what I'm saying is Kobe is the reason the Lakers are so dominant, not Gasol. But every superstar needs another great player to win it all. LeBron could've had Derrick Rose or Amar'e...but he screwed up his career by going to Miami. -
Well I guess you're right in a way that he can't do the two most important things an NBA center should be good at: posting up, and defending other big men one on one. But he's got a tremendous skill set. He's got a solid shot, REALLY good ball handling for his size, amazing sense of blocking shots, good offensive rebounding... Yeah he's raw, but I see him blossoming this year. And Kirby I'm pretty sure it was Dr. J's dunk, but MJ did it better.
-
True, but he's smart enough not to put out his IP and say he downloads music illegally.
-
Exactly. That's pretty much what I was getting at, except I gave you some tips on how to steal music, lol.
-
School, work, girlfriend, friends, family...you know... But I missed you guys.

Download Vuze. It lets you read comments before you download them. It's like a mix between BitTorrent (it uses torrents) and LimeWire (it has a built-in search engine). But like any P2P sharing software, the program and sites for it are legal, but most of the content is not. Another illegal way people tend to download music is by getting the Mozilla Firefox add-on called Download Helper. You can go on playlist.com and play a song, then click on the Download Helper, and when you save it, make sure to name it [insert song title here].mp3 and you're set. EDIT: I don't recommend the first one at all. Stay away from all software like that because you could get in serious copyright crap nowadays, like that butt head director of The Hurt Locker who sued 50,000 BitTorrent users for $1,500 for downloading his movie.

He wasn't nearly as dominant in summer league last year as he was this year. And he grew an inch and put on 20 lbs of muscle since last year. http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2010/07/18/20100718_SL_best_McGee.nba/

The immaturity of some of these members are one of the reasons I left and never really came back. I don't see the point in fighting over the internet, or fighting in general. If you guys don't like what someone said, simply IGNORE him/her. There is absolutely NO reason to attack the member. Maybe he doesn't know basketball, maybe he's completely biased, or maybe he really is stupid...but do not, by all means, make fun of him, talk trash to him, or start an endless argument with him. The two choices are: 1; you leave the stupid idiot alone, or 2; you reply with a kind, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, MATURE post. The fact that you guys all pointed fingers at each other in THIS THREAD is even more immature. I don't know how you put up with all this crap, Brandon...you're a warrior. With such an amazing and dedicated owner, OTR could be one the best basketball-based message boards on the web. What's holding it back is people like you guys, and people like me who don't want to be apart of it.

Magic: LeBron followed Kobe/KG trends

+1 You can't tell me Gasol is the reason the Lakers won the championship. He's no superstar...maybe a borderline all-star. The team Kobe was on when he was demanding trades would have been a lottery team without Kobe. Miami was D-Wade's team, and Chris Bosh joined him, which was enough for Miami to rise near the top of the East. I wasn't around on OTR to say this, so here it is. LeBron ruined his legacy by going to Miami. Had he have won a title in Chicago, New York, or Cleveland, people would've started comparing him to MJ or Kobe as the greatest ever. Now, even if he wins five or six rings, it's not much of an accomplishment. Udonis Haslem will win those rings too. -
What do you think of John Wall's performance so far?
Wall2Wall replied to JWaLL's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
lol Nate you're still not over the lottery? Man, this is like when the Spurs got Tim Duncan (they had the 3rd best chance to win it, but they already had David Robinson). Just be prepared for the Wizards to sweep your Nets year after year. -

Not a bad way to start his NBA career, as he won the Summer League Most Outstanding Player award. http://www.washingtonwizardsblog.com/2010/07/19/wall-named-summer-league-most-outstanding-player/ -
What do you think of John Wall's performance so far?
Wall2Wall replied to JWaLL's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Okay let's both rephrase this part. By decision making I mean a dumb pass he lobs up (while in mid-air) to McGee, or a 100mph ball to a player not looking. And there are times where he leads a player, but the player is not aware of that play. I don't think they're off target, they just make you shake your head like "Whyyy did you throw that ball over there?" But like you said, it's all about chemistry. And he got better at it already. -

The Good: Wall is showing everyone he's a pure point guard with a pass-first mentality. He dished out 28 assists in his first three games. He really knows where his teammates are. Wall and McGee are becoming a deadly PG-C combination. The Wizards fall apart when Wall is not in the game or does not touch the ball on a possession. He seems to have somewhat learned to run the halfcourt offense a lot faster than expected. He is getting better and better at the pick and roll game. Playing at the pro level does not seem to have slowed Wall down one bit. He is the fastest and quickest player on the court at all times. All of the moves he did at high school and college are also working for him in the NBA. He's got a lot of killer crossovers moves. Nobody can guard the guy without committing a foul. This guy finished strong. He really knows how to draw contact/fouls. He has also improved his free throw shooting tremendously, shooting over 87% from the line. Wall is very clutch. He demands the ball in his hands, but for the sakes of winning the game, not to be selfish. He's shown he can take over games and play 1-on-5 if his team is struggling. Wall may be one of the smartest players we've seen in a while. He's constantly running his mouth to his teammates. Just great overall IQ and court vision...he really knows the game of basketball. Wall has a great heart. He hates to lose. He dives for lose balls, contests every shot, and gives it 110% all the time. He has great work ethic. He's a really nice, humble guy. He brings a winning mentality. He makes everyone around him better. On defense, Wall is a pain to try to get around. He has a nose for the ball when playing off-ball, and has the quickness and awareness to jump in passing lanes and pick them off. He forces a lot of turnovers. On the ball, he is extremely tenacious. He does not leave his man alone. If his opposition takes his eye off the ball for a split second, Wall is going to pick his pocket in a heartbeat. He can guard both guard positions. His 39" vertical leap helps him soar to block shots. Wall plays with a lot of energy. One of his key elements is the fact that he is just as good with his left as he is with his right hand. The Bad: Wall hasn't yet developed a consistent jump shot. There are times where he looks like he's on fire, then he goes on streaks of 0-4, 0-5 shooting. He seems to get frustrated at times. Wall, as of right not, is a bad three point shooter...has two airballs already in four games. A dominant mid-range game is also lacking. He doesn't have a signature runner yet. Wall can get out of control sometimes, trying to use his athleticism only and can get carried away. His passes are almost always on target, but his decision making can be questionable sometimes. Other Comments: Both of his two biggest weaknesses (outside shot, turnovers) are common in rookies and are the easiest parts of the game to improve on. In his first two games, he had a total of 16 turnovers. In his last two, he had a total of just five. A bad game for John Wall (mainly because he shot around 25% from the field) is one where he still had 21 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds. If his teammates are not getting it done, he can turn the switch and become a prolific scorer (scored 31 points last game to lead Washington back from a 16-point deficit). John Wall will be the best point guard in the NBA. He's certainly got the mindset to be at least. Oh, and, he's got the skills as well. -
