  1. Oh yeah I remember that series, or rather that game as I only had the first one. Awesome game. Really ? Weird lol I first became interested in basketball too. Well I liked basketball before but this game made me love more ! It wasn't the same game, it was NBA Super Tecmo Basketball for the Super Nes. That game was awesome. That is it was awesome at the time lol cause now we have a thousand of games better... I love the NBA live series. I think I got them all until the 2008 one. I remember I even got the very first NBA live, it was in 1994 and there was a pic of the 94 Finals on the cover. Great game at the time, even better than Tecmo. I liked that game as well. But only with other players. I found it quite boring alone... But with another player it was awesome. Oh yeah it was Super Mario All Star. Loved that game. With all the first four Mario (Mario 1, Japanese Mario 2, American/European Mario 2 and Mario 3). Mario 3 is one of the very best Super Mario series, I would have mentioned it in my top ten but I didn't want to mention two games of the same series. Holy [expletive] I used to play this game a lot on arcade when I was a kid ! Then I got it on my first computer, an Armstrad CPC 464. Loved that game. I was never a fan of Mortal Kombat personally... Dunno why. Well I only liked Sub Zero and Scorpion in that game in fact haha. But I always prefered Street Fighter II. By far the best fighting game ever for me. No one could and in fact still can beat me at that game. Nice I thought that I was the only one to love that game lol. I've never met someone who was as a fan of this game as I. I really love that game. Well especially with another player. Alone the game can be boring... But with another player it's one of the best games ever ! I don't know how many people I forced to play this game with me haha. Besides it's thanks to that game that I heard for the first time of root beer. As a matter of fact we don't have this soda in France so the first time I saw it in that game I had no idea what it was... Besides I didn't even speak English at the time.. I just thought it was regular beer lol. Well I heard about this drink many times since (by watching TV shows and movies in English and stuff) but I still haven't tasted it. Wonder what it tastes like... It's gonna be the first drink I'm gonna taste when I'll be in the US, can be sure of that haha. Awesome game right here. I had, and still have in fact the three NBA Streets on Playstation 2. The three best street games ever IMO. Especially the one you mentioned, the second one, I don't know how many times I played that game... Fantastic game. EDIT : By the way I saw that many people, everyone who mentioned a Zelda game in fact, mentioned Ocarina of Time. So I was just wondering, have you ever play the third Zelda, a Link to the Past on Super Nes ? Cause even if I like Ocarina a lot I personally always prefered the SNES version, I dunno I was expecting the Ocarina to be better to be better, it's still great but it's not long enough and it's easier than the Link to the Past IMO... So anyway was just curious about that.
  2. I remember when I saw this summer for the first time that Dolan wanted Thomas to get back... And I still ain't over it to be honest. I still respect Thomas for his unbelievable NBA career but I certainly don't want to see him back anywhere near the Knicks any longer. Getting rid of Dolan is what we gotta do (we sadly can..). I mean what the hell is that guy thinking ? Walsh did a fine job fixing Thomas' mistakes, it took enough time to do so, and he wants him back ? That really pissed me off.... I still respect Thomas as I said and I hope for him that he will succeed with another franchise but I don't want to see him in New York any more and I seriously hope that Dolan will change his mind. There is no Knicks fan that wants him any more and I'm really, REALLY puzzled that him and Dolan doesn't even understand that... It's just totally ridiculous.
  3. Wine, well and alcohol in general, is great for your health. Trust me on that. :D

Wine gum ?! What is that ?

  4. Great win for us. Stoudemire wasn't great but it's his only bad game of the season so far so it ain't a big deal... [expletive] happens. Besides it's just showed what I kept saying during the whole summer, that our team is definitely not only Stats, we have a lot of talents. And Toney was just on fire yesterday, very impressive... We're gonna make the playoffs this year, I know it's a little early to tell but I feel it ! The only thing that I don't understand is why Thibodeau pulled Rose and Deng outta the game for the last ten minutes ? Was it just to save them for today's game ? Really weird... But anyhow we won and that's all what matters to me.
  5. Lol I was starting to worry...

Not an alcohol guy.. life must be sad for you ain't it ? :D

Honestly there's nothing better than a good French meal with a good bottle of wine I tells ya. You totally should try it.

  6. You got that right, it doesn't get any Frencher, and so any better than that.. So you better try 'em as soon as you can, for your sake. :D

By the way you ever tried wine at least ?

  7. What would the Knicks All Time Roster would look like in your opinion ? Here's what it would look like for me : Starting Lineup : C. Patrick Ewing P.F. Willis Reed S.F. Bernard King S.G. Earl Monroe P.G. Walt Frazier Bench : C. Jerry Lucas P.F. Charles Oakley S.F. Dave DeBusschere S.G. John Starks P.G. Derek Harper S.F. Latrell Sprewell S.G. Allan Houston At center I picked Patrick Ewing of course. Easy choice, he’s definitely the best player that we ever had. Too bad that he never won a ring, he would have deserved it. As his back up I pick Jerry Lucas. When Jerry arrived in New York he wasn’t the same player that he was during his Kings days, and he only played in New York three years but still he has to be mentioned here. He was still a terrific player nonetheless and a very important part of the 73 championship team. At P.F. I picked Willis Reed. Willis was rather a center but he could play F, he played PF when Walt Bellamy was in the team in the 60’s anyway. And Willis is one of our best players ever, and arguably our greatest hero (who does not know about the game 7 of the 70 Finals ?), so he has to start anyway. That’s why I prefered to pick him as the starting PF and Lucas (who was a F/C) as the back up C. As his back up I picked Charles Oakley. Easy choice for me, I think that the people who did not Watch Oak at his prime do not realize how great a player he was. During the 90’s he truly was the heart of our team. Plus I’ve always been a fan of his hard fouls. I love his violent game, just like the I loved the violent defense of the 90’s Knicks, I admit it. It was fun to see Grant crying every time Oak was fouling him haha. At S.F. it’s obviously Bernard King. Certainly the second most talented player that we ever had. In the 80’s, before the arrival of Ewing, he was the team. Too bad that he was too lonely to win anything, cause he was really a terrific player and would have deserved a ring. His back up is definitely Dave DeBusschere. One of the best defenders ever, and a very important player in the two teams that won a ring in 70 and 73. As the starting S.G. I picked Earl Monroe. Earl The Pearl is one of the best SGs ever and his duo with Frazier is certainly one of the most exciting back court ever. Very important player of the 73 team. As his back up I chose John Starks. John is certainly not the most talented player that we ever had. But he definitely had the biggest heart among all the Knicks players ever. In fact among all the players of the history in the league. You could say what you want about John Starks but even the people who do not like him (and there are a lot sadly…) have to admit that John gave all what he got on a court. John only wanted one thing : to make his team win. On the court he forgot about everything else. A lot of passion. Too much passion sometimes maybe… That’s why John often lost his mind on the court. But that’s the kind of player I like. And that is why he is, with Ewing, my favorite player ever. Houston was certainly more talented than him but yet he was not a better player than him, because as talented as Allan was he’s always been weak mentally. Starks was way tougher in his head. And that is why Starks is a better player and has to be mentioned above Houston IMO. I picked Walt Frazier as the starting P.G. Obviously. Definitely the best P.G. that we ever had, and the only player who ever led us to a ring. Even if the 70 and 73 Knicks main strenght was its fantastic chemistry, Walt was still the leader. Also one of the best defenders ever. He has to start. As his back up I picked Derek Harper. Now I know that Derek did not play long with us, two years and a half, almost three years, but he immeditely had a huge impact on our team. And gave it what Mark Jackson never was able to give it. I’ve always been a huge fan of Derek, very underrated player IMO. I even consider him as the best player that never played in an All Star Game. One of the best defenders I ever seen. And his performance in the 94 Finals was unbelievable. Honestly if the Knicks had won that year, Harper would have been Finals MVP. Ewing was great defensively but horrible offensively, his FG% was just terrible. Ewing has always been a shooting center but in those Finals he was shooting from too far away. Riley told him several to play closer, to play in the paint but Ewing didn’t listen quite the opposite he shot from further away. Which is the main reason why he didn’t do his job offensively. And Starks was terrific too, could have been Finals MVP but he was horrible in games 1 and 7. Especially 7... Because he was still thinking about Olajuwon’s block at the end of game 6, Starks always said that he was 100% sure that his shot was good. Anyway meanwhile Harper was perfect in every game. This Finals sure are Harper’s career highlight and he has to be mentioned in that roster. For the two last spots, well I picked Houston and Sprewell. Many other players could have been mentioned though, players like Gallatin, Guerin, Bradley, Mason, Bellamy, Johnson, Barnett, etc… But I picked Allan and Spree because they are the last two real stars that we had (Francis, Marbury and Penny were done when they joined us…). Plus Spree had quite a performance in the 99 Finals. Ewing was injured and Sprewell took over the leadership of the team and was absolutely fantastic. He was really Jordan like. This Finals are certainly his career highlights, he definitely deserve to be in that roster thanks to that performance. And even if Houston never became the player that he was supposed to become when we signed him, well he still had a great career with us nonetheless. And his shot against the Heat in 99 not only allowed us to become the second team to ever knock off a number 1, but we even became the first 8th seed to make the Finals. That is one of the greatest moment in our history for sure.
  8. Well maybe they don't sound like it but they are nice indeed lol. It ain't my favorite meal as I said but I like to eat some once in a while. You should try it at least once. With a good glass of Red Wine, a good Bordeaux, mmh... Delicious ! :)

  9. I love tequila as well but I never tasted Patron. I can't find any where I live. I really want to taste it one day cause several people told me that it was the best tequila. So far my favorite one is Jose Cuervo. Dam 11, that's very young man... I would have never started smoking at that age. I love Belgium beer. Definitely among my favorites. Stella is alright but there are a lot of belgium beer that I like more though... My personal favorites are Grimbergen and Leffe. One of the rare Whiskies that I never tasted lol. Well many people told me that Chivas wasn't great... Besides I ain't a big fan of blended Whisky, except for Johnny Walker (especially Black). And Famous Grouse. But overall my favorite Scoth are the Single Malt. But even if I like it Scotch ain't my favorite anyhow, my two favorites are Bourbon, Tennesse Whiskey and Irish Whiskey. I'll have to taste Chivas one day though. Nice I don't smoke cigarettes often (only once in a while, I used to smoke everyday but not any more, I prefer cigars and by far now and I don't even smoke cigars everyday in fact...) but when I do I smoke Marlboros for sure. And never tasted the rum that you posted, never heard of it. Looks good. So far I'd say that my favorite rums are Bacardi and Havana Club.
  10. Yeah I know I was just kidding lol...

However I love frog's legs personally. :D Not my favorite meal but when it's well cooked it's delicious.

  11. Haha thanks Guru, glad you liked it. Yeah the kid is the funniest one lol. This dude Pascal Sellem has made a lot of other great videos like that one, but I can't post them cause you have to know the French language to understand them... I remember one for example in which he goes to a pizza restaurant with a frozen pizza and ask the pizza maker to cook his pizza, lol that was hilarious.
  12. Oh yeah it's true you already told me... That's weird I thought that everyone basically HAD to like it in England... :D Jk but I'd like to taste it one day though.

  13. Dam that sucks man, hope you'll be able to watch the rest of the movie soon... Glad you liked it so far anyhow. And yeah I remember that line lol, there are a lot of great lines in that movie, just like in every Coen movie anyway haha.
  14. I honestly doubt that a lot. The NBA is already as popular as it can be in Europe, everyone knows about it. This since the 90's and the Dream Team in the 92 Olymipcs. Which is why Stern decided to allow NBA players participate in that event anyhow, he wanted to get more fans to follow the NBA and buy the NBA products all over the world... Which succeeded. In the 90's everyone woke up in the middle of the night to watch Jordan play here, it was unbelievable, even people who didn't like basketball ! That's how great Jordan was... Since Jordan's retirement the NBA is not as big here, although we still have quite a lot of NBA fans (no one would broadcast the games otherwise...), but basketball's popularity is definitely not as big as soccer's or rugby. And it will never be, let's face it, even if there were some NBA franchises here that wouldn't change much. Soccer and rugby will always be the main sports in France, soccer will actually always be the number one sport all around the world (except the US). Well anyway it's certainly not the first time that I hear that idea, I heard about it the first time talked about it in fact, it was in the late 90's... And I dunno about it to be honest. Well that could be a good idea, I just wonder how they plan to make it work. But that could be a good idea indeed. Although we don't have enough arenas in which NBA games can be played in Europe right now, most of them are too old and too small. For example in France we only have one arena in which an NBA game can take place right now, it's the Bercy arenas in Paris. I even think that we only have three arenas in all Europe that are big enough... So it will take time no matter what. Not only that but I don't think that the owners of the Euroleague and other European leagues for that matter would be very pleased about it to be honest... So I don't know. I really don't know right now. I am not against this idea. I'm just curious to see how they plan to do it in fact, then I'll comment on it. We'll just have to wait and see anyhow.
  15. The top ten plays from yesterday are IMO the best daily top ten that we had so far in this season : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TTpmGJBwYSk Very good top ten, especially KG's dunk on Bogut and of course Griffin's huge dunk on Krstic. Blake really is amazing... The only thing that I don't understand is why they put Dwight's block and Warrick's dunk at 4th and 3rd... I mean they're nice plays but certainly not better than Iggy's dunk, Monta's reverse, Evans' crossever and awesome lay up, Kobe's 4 pts play and Favors' poster dunk on Diaw... Well anyway great top ten nonetheless.
  16. Yeah, yeah, yeah... Eat ya mint sauce fruitcake ! :D

Well I see.. Still it was a fail nonetheless. I definitely think that you haven't eaten enough mint sauce today. :D

  17. Yeah that's it I'm totally in love lol... Nah don't worry there are only real men in France, contrary to you, you English fruitcakes ! :D

And your post was... too long !! Epic fail lol ! Sorry come again. :P

  18. He did ? I didn't see that, where in the hell did he post it ?

C'm'on don't be a child Lil' Penis, I said that brunettes and were better and so they are, you know that I'm always right don't you ? :D

  19. Which is (are) your favorite team(s) in each division ? Here are mines : Eastern : Atlantic : New York Knickerbockers Knicks obviously here as I'm a Knicks fan... And I already explained many times why I'm a Knicks fan so no need to repeat myself here. I'm rather gonna talk about my second favorite team of this division, the Celtics. I've always liked the Celtics. I was very happy to see them back on top in 2008. I already liked them a lot these last couple of years so but I like them even more since now two of my current five favorite players joined the team, Shaq and Delonte. It's even the Celtics team that I like the most, well since the 80's ones. Definitely my second fav team in the East and I hope to see them in the Finals this year again. For the other teams, I used to love the Sixers in the early 2000's, especially in 2001, they were my second favorite team in the East at the time, I used to like the Nets in the Anderson and Coleman days (no more than that though) and I liked the Raptors when Carter and T-Mac were in the team, or even earlier in the Mighty Mouse days. But I ain't a big fan of those teams' current rosters to be honest, even if I have nothing against them. Central : Chicago Bulls Always liked the Bulls, even if it was harder in the 90's with the Knicks-Bulls rivalry, but let's say that I liked them when they were not playing the Knicks. And this year I have to say that I'm really excited about watching this team play, they have a lot of potential and I can't wait to see what they're gonna do. I like the Bucks as well they are a very young exciting team as well, it's gonna be interesting to watch them. Even without LeBron I still like this Cavs team, and I'm sure that they can do better than what most people think. I used to love this team in the Mark Price days by the way. Same with the late 90's team, with Kemp, Chuck Person's brother Wesley and the four rookies, Z, Cedric Henderson (wonder what happened to him, loved that player), Knight and Derek Anderson. Not a big fan of the Pistons and Pacers rosters this year to be honest, there are some players that I really like on both rosters though, like Collison and Daye. I used to love the 90's Pacers (when they were not playing the Knicks), especially the late 90's one, with Bird as the coach. That was a hell of a team, honestly. Southeast : Miami Heat Yes the Heat are the team I like the most here, despite the fact that I am not as enthusiastic about this big three as most people, they are still my favorite team in this division (already were last year and before..). Always liked this team, since the arrival of Pat Riley in fact, I'm a big fan of Pat Riley (letting him go is the biggest mystakes that we, Knicks, ever did..) so I immediately liked the Heat when he arrived. And I always loved players like Tim Bug, Zo, Mash, etc... The Knicks-Heat rivalry in the late 90's, early 2000's was awesome, especially that we won each time (the Heat only won in one playoffs series in 97). So even if I ain't convinced that this Heat team will win it all, and make the Finals (I admit that they can though) in their first year together, I still wish them good luck and can't wait to watch them play. I like the Magic's style of play, quite entertaining. My fav Magic team was the Shaq-Penny-Anderson (Nick the Brick)- 3D-Grant in the 90's though, really loved that team. I was rooting for them in 95, but the Rockets were just the best team, and the Magic was really too young. I can't believe that they lost this game 1... The Hawks were quite entertaining last year, I doubt that they can do better than what they did but they'll still be fun to watch at least. And I really like the rookie, Jordan Crawford. The Wizards are quite exciting this year. I always love Arenas and I hope that he'll get back to his best. And John Wall is unbelievable right now, even better than I thought he'd be... But I used to like the Wizards more when they had Webber, Howard and Strickland though.. I was a huge fan of Rod Strickland, very good PG. Never been a fan of the Bobcats' rosters to be honest. Western : Northwest : Oklahoma City Thunder and Portland Trail Blazers Love the Thunder and Blazers. Definitely among my favorite teams in the Northwest right now. Two young exciting teams. What the Blazers did last year despite all their injuries is absolutely amazing. If they can stay healthy this year they can accomplish many things. Great season for the Thunder as well. Durant is my favorite player not named Nowitzki this year and I hope that he's gonna have an even better season next year. I've always liked this two teams anyhow, especially the Blazers, I was a huge fan of Sabonis and Sheed, and I liked the 90's Sonics, it was great to see them come back in the 96 Finals, after losing the first three games quite easily I thought that the Bulls would destroy them. But McMillan's come back allowed them to destroy the Bulls in game 4 and 5. It was amazing, even if they eventually lost in game 6. For the other teams well I ain't a big fan of them to be honest. I like the Jazz. Nice team to watch. I used to love them in the late 90's, the Bulls-Jazz Finals are even the two best Finals I ever seen. I used to love the Nuggets in the 90's, they were my second favorite team at the time. Mutombo, Abdul-Rauf, Ellis, Packman (one of my very favorite dunkers), Rodney Rogers, etc... But I just don't like them as much now. Don't hate them (there's no team I really hate anyhow, well maybe the Spurs ), but don't like them. And I really never cared for the Wolves to be honest. They were quite interesting in the Starbury-Garnett-Googs days and when Sam I Am and Spree joined KG but that's it. Southwest : Dallas Mavericks The Mavs are my second favorite team in the league since Nowitzki arrived. I was pretty disappointed in 2006 when they lost against Miami. They were clearly a better team. They weren't just cold blooded enough. But this year I think that they're even better than what they were at the time. And I definitely think that they have a chance to win it all. The arrival of Butler and Haywood definitely made them a better team. The reason why they didn't succeed last year is because Caron and Brendan didn't have enough time to adjust IMO.. But this year I hope that it's gonna be different. Besides Nowitzki, my favorite player, looks better than ever, he's definitely improved as a leader. I hope that this year is gonna be the good one for the Mavs, both Dirk and Kidd deserves a ring. I like the Rockets and Hornets, two interesting teams to watch. They had both quite a nice season last year, almost made the playoffs despite all their injury troubles. Hope Paul and Yao will be fine this year. As for the Grizzlies and Spurs... Never really liked to be honest. Well actually the Spurs were among my favorite teams in the mid 90's, thanks to Rodman who's one of my favorite players ever, but when he left I started not to like them. Even to hate them... Especially when Pop arrived, I didn't like his style. I admit he's a great coach though. Never been of fan of Duncan (who cries too much), Parker (cause he's considered as the new Jordan in France which is ludicrous lol) and Ginobili (flopper king). I just don't like them as basketball players though, don't have anything against them personally. And I don't really hate them any more anyway... But they're still my least favorite team. Pacific : Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers I've always liked the Lakers. And this current team really is amazing, they're even better than last year in fact, and they're the favorites to win again IMO. Phil Jackson's 4th three peat ? That would be a hell of an accomplishment... And the Clippers are definitely my second favorite team in this division. I maybe even like them as much as the Lakers now. Clearly among my five favorite teams in the West (Mavs, Thunder, Blazers, Lakers, Clippers). This especially because of Blake Griffin. I was really disappointed when he got injured last year... I really like this player, I hope that he won't get injured this year and will be able to show us what he can do. This dude can become huge. And the Clippers overall are a very exciting team. I've always liked B-Diddy and Chris Kaman. I want to see them in the playoffs this year, they can do it. Not a big fan of the other three teams right now. Used to love the Kings in the early 2000's, was really disappointed that they didn't succeed in 2002. One of the most amazing chemistries I ever seen. Used to love the Suns in the 90's, the Barkley Suns, that was a hell of a team. The 93 Finals are among the best ever. As for the Warriors well I don't really like them since Mullin and Hardaway left to be honest.
  20. Well I guess that everyone's already mentioned 'em all so I got nothing to add... But if I had to pick only one player, I would definitely pick Dirk Nowitzki. For me he's the purest shooter in the league today, he just has the perfect jump shoot. One of the very best jump shot ever IMO, with Glen Rice's and Larry Bird's.
  21. Here's one of my favorite hidden camera videos, maybe even my favorite one, I can't never get tired of it lol. It was made by Pascal Sellem, a French comedian, hope you'll like it :
  22. Haha yeah I liked Buck and Herb a lot as well. Though they were both clearly past their primes when they arrived in New York, Buck was not the same player that he was in his Nets and Blazers day and Herb never was even close to what he was in his Mavs and ESPECIALLY Pacers days... But yeah I still liked them both a lot.
  23. Zo, without a doubt. There is honestly only one thing that Dwight has over Zo : he's more athletic than him. And that's it. Other than that Zo was better than him everywhere else. First on offense. Well it's true that Dwight has improved since he entered the league but, even if he's working with Hakeem, I think that he ain't gonna get better than that now. Howard is just not a great offensive player, he's become an alright one though but I don't believe he will ever be better than that. So he definitely can't compare with someone like Zo who had a lot of post moves and a great offensive repertoire. On defense Zo was also better. Alright I know that Dwight was DPOY twice, but I always had a problem with that personally as he's clearly not a great man to man defender... He's a great help defender, certainly the best (a case can be made for Josh Smith though), but not a man to man defender. I had a discussion about it with another poster recently and he kinda made me change my mind about it though, he made a good point by saying that despite the fact that Howard wasn't a good man to man defender, his presence only was enough to have a huge impact on his team, defensively. Which is true. So I can accept that Howard was named DPOY now, even though I would have personally voted for Sefolosha last year... But anyhow that's another story, back to Zo he was definitely a way better man to man defender, no doubt. So there is no doubt for me that Zo was definitely a better player than Dwight. In fact, Dwight and Yao are two very good players, and I like 'em both, but honestly none of them can't compare to the five best center of the 90's, the last true great centers, that were Ewing, Shaq, Robinson, Hakeem and Zo. No doubt about that.
  24. Definitely Shaq. Dwight is a very good player but he honestly can't be compared to Shaq. I've said it many times but among all the players I've seen play, Shaq is, with Jordan, the one who impressed me the most. He's, with Wilt and Jordan, the one who dominated the league the most. His performances in the NBA Finals from 2000 to 2002 are even the most impressive Finals performances ever IMO. A case can definitely be made for him as the best center ever. So no I certainly do not believe that Dwight would stand a chance against Big Shaq Daddy.
