They lost quite a few main players due to the cap and their starting goaltender. They also may have been 8th but they racked up 97 points in the regular season.

Feel bad for the Ducks. So much talent and no goaltending.

It's our defense I'm worried about. A Pyatt or some random dude always finds ways to score but missing Gorges and pretty much the rest of the defense playing on one leg. I wish I could say they could round up a run like last year but this team is much more AHL based which Guy Boucher has done a fantastic job getting them ready for NHL play.

It was the shortened season and Cassell got injured right away. If Avery started next season and Deron Williams got hurt in the first game, I wouldn't blame him for a 3-17 start.

Didn't really fail as much as bad timing. He got the highest win total for a season that decade then had some unlucky injuries.
